Next time, take your tool box with you and adjust on the fly. carb can be tricky, there's about a ~8 mouse wheel click window where the carb is dialed in correctly. It's tough to judge, especially when the car is cold.

It'll take a day or two. If you miss the call he won't call again. If your car is outside and the order paper is on the desk it's done.

obviously you bolt the engine because otherwise it would just fall off. there are three screws, two at the front right and left of the compartment and one at the back in the middle.

Don't have any more info on that beyond the fact that he isn't the only person to have tried (and succeeded), lots of people actually buy them just so they could smelt parts for home repairs. It is popular enough around here to be able to catch people discussing specific VAZ models.

Oh boy if only you could understand the full story about the dog. There's a shit ton of finnish that goes very deep on "lore" all over the game that doesn't get translated at all or gets stripped of all but the essential in translation. All the long ass fucking talks the NPCs have are very finnish but none of it really gets translated because it would be sort of impossible to do so and the direct translation would be a jumbled mess that often wouldn't make sense just because the words and expressions aren't really present in english in the same way. The delivery is also a big part of the finnish aspect of it and that would get lost with a text translation.

I suppose this is how it feels to know the difference between a japanese game and the western localization of it and it really makes me realise that most people who scream for perfect localisations don't really have a clue how hard it is and what a direct translation would look like. I would consider myself fairly fluent with english but I think making a translation that does justice to the source material would be near impossible or at least behind a whole lot of work.

The hoses don't have anything that needs to be tightened. If I remember correctly there are 4 screws on the radiator and that's it.

I don't really "speak" anything apart from finnish and english but I can read and write in swedish and know the basics of russian and french both of which I've studied only for a year or two and in the case of french it was about 7-12 years ago so I've forgotten most of it. I'm also planning on reading a bit of japanese in my free time to get the basics.

Pump attaches to the engine while you're building it, rub it somewhere under the sparkplugs. Strainer is attached to the top left of the engine compartment when your engine is already bolted on.

The full range for each wheel is 120 clicks. Toe both wheels all the way in and then back out ~50 clicks each. Enjoy driving straight.

I've never had a problem with the strainer so don't really know what it could be. Just put it on the left side of the engine with the container looking thing behind the battery and the hose near to the fuel pump. It would be cool if the game told you with colors or something if the spanner is too big or too small.

If you want to do Initial D meme drifts then no if you have to ask. Obviously fwd is worse than rwd if you want to drift and I find it strange that you even ask about drifting without knowing such a basic thing. With the right techniques and tricks fwd drifting is very much possible as evidenced by the 70s classic rally cars but I'm not sure if all that applies to this game and it's physics model though because of the fucked up physics there might be some way drift that isn't possible in real life.

common sense goes a very very long way. if you car pushes at the back it stands to reason it would be easier to get that back loose and drifting.

in my experience a fucked up body doesn't stop you from attaching parts, i suppose it could if it's really fucked up. my first build did some flips in the garage due to physics and was all sorts of fucked up but I managed to get everthing fitted just right.

How'd you get it in the hole? It's not supposed to go in the hole. There's a text file where the car mesh is saved in the save folder in appdata/locallow. you can get a fresh mesh and put it over your own save if you don't feel like paying.

there are two radio channels, one for custom tracks and the other has some default tracks and nature shows.

because while the game on loading save loads tracks from radio folder I really cant see it in folder itself

the tracks it loads on load are just it caching them in memory and it only affects custom tracks.

use the radio, press the channel switch button. you can't miss the channel. radios with tuners the custom radio is around the middle of the tuner and the default tracks one is near the right end. it's not very hard to figure out.

I think I ended up trying it from inside the car, doing a ritual over the floorboard. had a heinous time with the front struts for a bit too and the rear springs. use the floor jack to lift the car from one side and slide it on from that side. Don't try to do it under the car it's a nightmater.

Bleed your brakes a bit, then tighten the lines. Theres a small nut on or near each wheel that connects the lines to them. Unscrew those nuts, pump the brakes for a bit, then tighten them all the way.

I love that the dev made the first radio station the custom one and all the stupid foreigners keep listening to the same two ads over and over.

They leave out a lot of shit that would drive people that don't know how to make a car to the point of insanity but in general it seems a fairly neat learning experience.

Programmer here. You're probably gonna have to have some intermediate program in between My Summer Car and your controller driver in order to account for when you turn the Wii remote upside down by turning left or right 180 degrees. My Summer Car can't interpret that data, I'm sure of it.

Failing letting it warm up, just hold the ignition and pump the accelerator a bit. Usually starts it for me.

You'll know if it's on when it revs when you hit the gas. Right click the hand brake to release it, shift into first, and just hit the gas. Autoclutch will handle the clutch for you. If none of that works, check your binds.

New patch. Hitchhiking and TV fatigue seem to be the new features. Rest is just bugfixes.

You'll not be able to build a car from scratch after playing this game. It will however teach you things like where the carburettor might be or what the main components of an engine are and where they might be.

I'm talking more than 10 feet away, such as the sauna early on.

You might be able to learn the basics behind a junker, though. Just don't expect to put any of the more complex components together like the carburetor which are already per-assembled.

Sounds good to me. I'm ignorant as fuck, so just understanding what goes where and what it does would be cool.
