ISIS has a bunch of RPGs especially since they took all the stuff the Iraqis/American armies abandoned.

That said, most of these vehicles are probably disabled by an RPG rather than destroyed with the loss of all crew, which is a decent first step.

Considering the light armament that most of these vehicles have displayed; they are supposed to be used more as infantry support rather than tanks, like how m1114 humvees are used in Iraq. Considering I haven't yet found any pictures or videos of YPG tanks being knocked out; we can presume that they are being used effectively well.

I'm learning myself right now, apparently there's a difference between IFVs and APCs:

Infantry fighting vehicles are distinct from armoured personnel carriers (APCs), which are transport vehicles armed only for self-defense and not specifically engineered to fight on their own. Consequently, IFVs possess heavier armament than an APC, and the attached rifle squad fights from within the vehicle more often than in an APC.
