Is Civ6 ones of those games like Dark Souls 2 and MGS V that are shit but people are afraid to say they're shit because they're hyped and from big franchises?

Where was the hype?

What hype?

What hype?

What hype?

What hype?

What hype?
Yes, but Civ5 damaged the reputation severely.

What hype?

What hype?

CIV 6 is shit! Everything that was great about civ 5 has been removed. Look at the fucking colors, it looks like one of those stupid mobile games. I bought it for 50% the price, because the shop knew it was going to fail.

What hype?

The only good thing about V was the hexes.

anyone with even a spec of sense isnt going to even look at it till the last expansion is out.

I was hoping for lewds but each and every female character looks like a block and a sjw had dumpster sex

I am more curious why there hasn't been porn made of the characters yet.

See

I'd still throat fuck Cleopatra. She has that trashy look that serves as a good cum dump as long as it's never fertilized.

Please go back to cuckchan. People here saw all kinds of warning signs in Dark Souls 2 and only really tried it in the hopes that they were wrong.

Hollywood made americans think Cleopatra was some kind of sex symbol.

In reality, she was ugly.
She had a big nose, and her features were subpar, even at the time you could've found hundreds of better looking egyptian women (and paid them next to nothing for a good fuck).

The reason why she had so many powerful lovers was because she was a powerful woman herself, and one of the most rutheless rulers history has ever seen.
She had character, and was merciless and cruel, traits that powerful men found challenging and fascinating.

So, basically a good hatefuck?

What hype?

More the opposite, it's a fun game Holla Forums hates because it's new and mainstream.

Care to give a brief history lesson user? Don't feel like digging and I dont trust jewpedia

Do you seriously find it fun?

This

Yes, played 29 hours so far, 2 complete games, it has issues but it's way better than Civ4 or 5 was at launch and I can see myself getting 1000+ hours before the next game comes out.

Alot of shit is like that but muh Holla Forums is one person

I personally haven't played it, so I have little input. I am also not interested in it, so I won't be playing it.

...

Holla Forums isn't one person, but Holla Forums is full of sheep who feel the need to fit in, even though it's an anonymous message board and not some shitty forum.

Guarantee you right now someone's writing up a very original post calling my a shill or a jew right now, because that's Holla Forums.

Practically everyone here said it was shit. The only disagreement was whether it was slightly better or worse than the shitheap that is Civ V.

There was no hype, only marketing.

I've never been much of a fan of Civ style gameplay, and my only real exposure to the series was ~20 hours of Civ V before dropping it out of boredom, so I'm not criticizing Civ VI from the perspective of "it's so bad because it's new and it ruined Civ!" I simply fail to see the fun in it, and this is coming from someone that derives infinite entertainment from manually managing factories in Vicky 2.

Granted, I'm only a few hours into my first game - roundabouts the Classical Era - and I plan to finish a full game in order to have actual knowledge to discuss with people who defend it (mostly irl) instead of hearsay and memes. But god damn if it doesn't already feel like a slog.

Here's what I heard or was implied in the last Civ 6 thread
I would love a changelog of all the details, can you still rename religions?
Is happiness still utterly crap and dependent on luxury goods, population, and number of cities owned?
Just what the fuck is this district system good for?

The music's good at least, same goes for the 5th installment. The games are shit though.

...

No. You can choose a historical religion with it's name and symbol or make a "custom religion" that you can name whatever by picking from a selection of extremely idiotic symbols, about half or so of which are animals.

I've played about 20 hours and as far as I know, this game is a lot easier than the previous civs, because the AI is so bad. On civ 4 and 5 I can barely beat king difficulty. In 6 I can easily stomp the computer on king, because a lot of the time they fuck around building huge amounts of warriors and very few cities.

The happiness system is a lot better than 5 (which isn't saying much), but I'm not sure if it's good or not, it's a somwhat reworked verison of global happiness, but not one that horribly punishes you for having more than 4 cities.

Thank you all, got anything more to add to the list?

Happiness is gone. Instead going wide instead of tall comes at a production (hammers/gears) penalty rather than a happiness one. It's a lot less severe in VI, and the policies that help wide-builds are better now.

Well there's your problem friendo, you're trying to play the gateway drug (Civ) that leads to grand strat in the first place. Once you're in that far you can't come back. I haven't made the plunge yet but I'd like to try some grand strategy games… Civ is kind of played out for me and I need more, but don't know where to go. Hearts of Iron? Stellaris? EU? All interesting settings to me…

Hearts of Iron if money is an issue, since previous games in the series go on sale all the time.

I like civ 6 more than 4 or 5.

Don't give money to modern day Paradox. The talent that made their successes in the past has long left.

Well fuck it then, might as well go big and pirate their entire catalog.

Yeah, but at least she was ONLY ugly, and not some kind of fucking alien like the one in CIV 6.

If you like space games, make sure to download Distant Worlds: Universe and Aurora 4X while you're at it. Panzercorps and Order of Battle are also good if you want plain and simple hex-based combat.

EU (specifically 3) is traditionally the recommended game to get into the genre, or CK2. Neither are hard but from my experience CK2 has the appearance of being exponentially more complicated, so it can be a little scary for someone totally new to the genre.
Vicky 2 is usually recommended after you start to understand the systems present in EU, and HoI after that. Really order doesn't matter at all and you should dive into whatever interests you most. Consulting the wiki is nigh mandatory for their older stuff (namely HoI and Vicky) because despite being mechanically superior than later installments, their tooltips tend to be subpar if existent.

That all being said, Stellaris was boring and even managed to disappoint me despite having no hope in Paradox doing anything right. It's definitely a game that could work well with their stupid abstractions that they employ to ill effect in other games like EU4 and HoI4, but they managed to make it exceptionally dull, especially mid game. If you have an unstoppable boner for that kind of 4X gameplay thought I won't tell you that you shouldn't play it, but I very thoroughly advise not wasting your time. It might be fun in a year or two after twenty DLCs.

No matter what you decide to get into though, for the love of God do not give them money. Pirate everything.
On a side note, /gsg/ is generally very welcome to newcomers and will offer lots of help and advice. Just don't post your OC Großdeutschland or Byzantiblob (though the latter are unfortunately popular on /gsg/) Enrico Dandolo did nothing wrong 1204 best day of my life

Oh I'm not the guy asking for recommendations, although Aurora is collecting dust on my hard drive.

The game has some of very obvious exploits

It's like they didn't even playtest this shit.

The nose…. well, the egyptians did enslave the joos. And nobility did fuck slaves.

I liked Dark Souls 2

...

...

I don't know how to feel.

No, they didn't.

They clearly just used the twat from the HBO series Rome as a model.

Naw the nose is all different. Does someone have the edit where the tits are fixed?

You mean journos who get paid for it and retards who don't know any better?
To some extend.
But then there are also shills like yourself who can't stop making new threads about htis piece of shit the moment their last attempt to shill it starts to fade away.

It suffers like so many other modern games in that it feels like a rushed piece of shit that they didn't test because the players will test it for you.

There are so many exploits it's ridiculous. The Ai is so bad that it's even bad for a civ game.
The UI is probably the worst UI I have ever seen for a strategy game. The lack of critical information is astounding.

I assume they'll patch the most egregious shit but it's still a pretty bad showing.

The AI is also broken in that if you meet any of the list of criteria they dont like, such as not having spies in ancient times (which is impossible) they will spam denounce you and attack.

You basically cant have good relations with the AI

On the bright side I like the changes to builders, siege and happiness. Tile improvements and units are much better balanced now.

The delegations count for that.

Not trying to say the agendas aren't total broken shit, just saying that sending delegations will make that bitch shut up.

both games I played all of the AIs were denouncing me and attacking me and every other AI constantly.

Yes, it's complete shit.

Even if you do what they want, such as sending the french bitch delegations, they'll still just flip out on you because they don't care.

All of the AI goes to war against everyone. I have never been able to keep an AI on my side for longer than 20 or so turns.

I hope it will be addressed but I'm not holding my breath.

There are a few good points to the game. For example, I like that the bonuses specific to civs seem to be more game changing. In 5 England only civ I have played in 6 so far got +1 naval movement, +1 spy slot, and a special naval unit if I remember right. In 6 England gets a specialty land unit, a specialty naval unit, a specialty harbor, the ability to hold twice as many relics in museums, and every time you conquer or found a foreign city you get a free melee unit. The bonuses seem stronger, and thus your play style will adjust more as you change which civ you pick. I think this is a definite plus.
The changes to government feel like a pretty solid step up from 5. Changing culture to act like the tech tree makes it more convenient to plan in. Even after hundreds of hours in 5, it was still a pain in the ass trying to coordinate my government around which era I was in at the moment and which one I would be in by the time I got my next culture unlock. The idea behind the new government system is also pretty solid. In 5 things were pretty locked: If you chose rationalism like you should have you couldn't branch into piety at all. Additionally, civs that invested in the same trees would be 100% the same once they maxed out all the branches. Civ 6 makes it so that if you pick fascism you can still adopt ideas from democracy, but you will be less efficient at using them. However, I feel like there is too much clutter, and a serious lack of balance between the different policies. Why do we need different unit production increases for every type of unit and for every not quite every era, but oh well era? The tech tree from beyond earth would honestly work pretty well for 6's culture tree. A few of the policies already power up at a certain point, and they could have expanded on that attribute. Currently the system seems pretty buggy to me. For example, when I was playing for a cultural victory, my 100% culture from theater districts card vanished somewhere around the time I unlocked the stadium. I looked through the policies for a good 10 minutes, but I couldn't find it. The ideas behind 6's government system are a pretty good foundation, and I hope they fix it into something great by the end of its life.
The approach they take on the map displaying it as a map is also a pretty cool idea. I wish it was easier to tell which tile is desert and which one is plains, and I really hope it doesn't start getting too annoying once I play some more.
The districts is a decent idea I don't give a fuck if they stole it, but I would have liked to see it implemented differently. I would have liked to see a system where districts have to be built adjacent to your city, but once you build a district you can connect another district to that one. So, eventually you'd be able to have cities that spanned entire continents and acting as hyper efficient factories.

Even though I've got a lot of minor gripes. The art is terrible. The AI is dumb as fuck, and they seem to be impossible to get along with. We still have embarking land units; why can't we get transport ships back? Worker and settler cost goes up as you build more of them. This doesn't really make sense, and it is one of the worst ways of trying to curb civ growth. Also, district cost goes up as technology increases. Unit movement is a lot worse without the ability to move into tiles you can't fully afford to enter moving through flat land into a tile containing hills or trees is no longer possible. I think the thing that pisses me off the most other than the god awful ui is the lack of appealing leaders. I just can't bring myself to play 9/10ths of the leaders in the game. Half of them are third world shit, and the rest are inhumanly ugly. I think the game might have some promise once they finish it and sell the patch as dlc.
I didn't pay for it or really anticipate it too much, and the points I like are not buyers remorse

I've found that wars with AI are actually kind of rare playing on prince and king. The AI only seems to get passive aggressive with me.

So, how content are you with the leader, ability and UU of your country? Who should represent your country in game instead, and what ability and unit should it have? Last question also applies for people from countries that are so irrelevant that they never appeared in Civilization.

I know I'll get shit for saying this, but I bought the game full price. And what do you know, it's absolute shit.

Some other things of note:
>Nuclear fallout is temporary, only lasts 20 turns regardless of time setting

But hey, at least you can name units now!

Hilariously enough I just had a game where I pushed vickys shit in up to her capital and barbarians and rebels sacked it and deleted it. I laughed for 5 minutes straight. If you can figure out how to weaponize barbs you can delete shitty ai capitals and their godawful district placement.

I have not played civilization since Civ2 and Alpha Centauri

why would I when it's dumbed down garbage?

alberto barbosa should be the leader of Portugal

At least it's not FDR or Lincoln.

Civ is one of those series where the people that would have gotten genuinely passionate about it left after 3/4 because it was all downhill from there.

I didn't even know 6 was coming.

Speaking of which, is there any other strategy games where nukes will actually create an ocean where cities once were? Or at the very least let you affect the environment to a degree that it fucks your enemies?

Flooding the globe by melting the polar ice caps, and nuking what factions remained, was some of the best fun to be had in that game.
Took fuckin forever, though

I miss when barbarians could conquer cities and even found them. You don't get that dynamism with modern game design.

Is that an alien?

Hopefully when modding picks up someone will do an upgrade for the barbs like that one for V that allowed barbs to do just that.

What rock have been under? I hear people shit on Civ 5 all the time.

No they did not.
Besides, she was greek. Probably the child of some semite who invaded greece and raped a lady.

By that logic they've removed nothing and you should love it.

It's just kind of boring. 1UPT combat in this format is boring. There's no special tricks or abilities.

You could name units in Civ V, but only while they had a unassigned promotion .

fucking kongo

kys mate

Hownew.ru

I was gifted a destroyer, a modern battleship, probably nuclear powered, before steam ships were invented.
Civ 6 ladies and gents.

Oh it is shit

What did Firaxis mean by this?

People loved to shit on DS2 because of the weird Miyazaki god-worship and one fucking elevator. Then DS3 came out and the threads were nearly dead on arrival because everyone had too much pride to admit it was even worse than 2 so there was nothing to talk about.

Played about 5-6 hours and got bored. Feels like Civ 5 except stripped of some things and things that they replaced thme with feel… eh. N oworthwhiel changes, the districts are BS because they go up in price throuhout the game all the time, I think the idea is to specialize your cities but that breaks the flow of the game pretty quickly and makes building tall impossible and building wide dull.

Shame that everyone shifted to it though, got no one to play Civ 5 with anymore.

I have seen like no divide when it comes to this game everyone I know either loves it or hates it.

They are all fucking boring shit. Homogenized as fuck. Better than BE's cosmetic fucking civilizations though.

(noice)
Kill stuff to earn great general points. Build labs to earn great scientist points etc et al.

That is because people either come from pre-Civ V or they are the people who hopped on the Civ V bandwagon. Those who started to play at Civ V have very low expectations of what to expect from a 4x game so they think it is the best shit. Everyone who came from before sees the shit UI, shit AI and just general shittiness of the game.

I don't play 4x games so I don't know what makes a good one and what makes a bad one so I'm outside looking in with this shit.

Go play Civ IV. Go play Alpha Centauri. Go play Galactic Civilizations II or Master of Orion II. Go play Endless Space and Legend. Just don't play Babbie's first Civ V and Cell Phone Civ VI.

Depends on the civ and you can boost the number of uses with wonders and policies. A chink with pyramids and serfdom would have 9 uses or something. They're also cheaper.

You can. And you can raze minor cities.

Vanilla CiV retarded tier.

Stock religions only by xml editing

You've got city specific "amenities" that are the combination of health and happiness and are impacted by luxuries. There's also "habitation" that's a separate city based stat that soft caps how large a city can grow.

Screenshots :^) and it's one of the few good things 6 implemented.

That's not how it works in 6

Any mod that disables/neuters the heroes? They kill those games for me

Is it actualy that bad? V sais its shit, but you fuckers say that about every new game.
It doesnt look like its more dumbed down than civ 5, there seem to be some new features and layer of complexity and overall it looks like a pretty solid release.
Its not like anyone with brains buys a civ game before all the expansions are out, but it looks like a solid foundation if nothing else.

Why?

The who with the what now?

I didn't care enough to try to learn the game mechanics after I suffered through the shit mobile phone UI. Maybe in the near future if they revamp it and add three expansions' worth of content I may give it another go.
Agreed. Your territory becomes fucking ugly as sin later on with disconnected improvements everywhere. EL's districts, wonders and special buildings truly makes building tall cities LOOK large and impressive.

Not that I know of - you're the first person I've heard complaining about the heroes. Maybe you can create custom factions that cannot get the mercenary market tech where you can buy new heroes but you still have the one you begin the game with and it locks you out of buying new units.

May I ask what do you loathe about the heroes in the first place?

I think for a civ game a certain degree of realism would be appreciated.

no

They're just strong as all hell. One decent level hero can pull more food out of his ass then a dozen improved food plains while also hammering out a battleship/whatever per turn.
The heroes in Moo2 were often game-changing but here they feel broken.

You really shouldn't do that anyway. Almost all improvements and districts get adjacency synergy of some sort. Say multiple mines (even unworked) improve the output of your industrial district which in turn improves the shekel output of your commercial district and they both increase the culture of the adjacent artfag district.

From jewpedia m8

You can make sweeping generalizations like that, but you'll miss the mark most of the time.
I played Civ since III. And 3 sucked for a good number of reasons.
Then along came 4, and that remained my go-to 4x for a very long time. It got a lot of mechanics right, along with the right amount of complexity.
Years later we get Civ V. It's a very polished game but not very optimized with simpler mechanics and overall boring end-game.
That game isn't the abortion that Holla Forums claims it is. It's simply a "meh-tier" game. People who never played Civ before went to that, and it suited them just fine. People who already played Civ stayed with 4. And all was well.
Of course, when BE was announced, new and old fans alike remembered Alpha Centauri. That game was the tits. I'm not exagerating here, that game changed gaming back then. It was simply amazing. In music, ambience, immersion and storytelling. And it did all this while still maintaining really solid mechanics that were fun and deep. It was a miracle of a game.
And BE was none of those things. Quite the oposite actually. It's like someone tossed a dynamite stick inside a toilet and shit exploded everywhere. That's how bad it was.

Years later, a very battered Firaxis starts making Civ VI and decides to hire a bunch of people from diferent Civ Comunities. Asking them "what made the game fun?" or "What mechanics work and what doesn't?"
Spoiler: they did the same back in Civ IV.
And it shows really. There's several things in Civ that are taken straight from Civfanatics forum I advise a visit, they have some very interesting points mixed with the fuckwits you get on any forum.

Civ VI is an improvement over V. Not hard to do by itself, but it's actually fun. To me anyway, other folks might disagree.
It also has potential to grow with expacs. The support units for instance, there's so much stuff they can add there.

So, you got a dev that seems to start listening to their comunities, trying to fix their mistakes, and they make a a game that is mechanically sound.
What do you get on Holla Forums?
A bunch of people who REFUSE to even pirate it and play more than 50 turns. Because they wanna fit in, and it's kewl to hate new releases. The only thing I find sad on this thread is the ammount of stupid or false shit being spewed.
To name a few:

They can steal research boosts saving you 5-6 turns in research, steal 300 gold in 6 turns (that's 50 gold per turn, show me a caravan making that much) and take out 3/4 of a cities production.
I've seen the AI getting buttfucked by Barbarians a lot. Especially when they discover a next right after they declare war on someone.

And some other:
Pick a name, pick a symbol. Yes you can get the stock symbols anyway (David's Star + "Banking")

You know your game is shit when your shills have to fall back on this.

What I find sad is how they'll not change that artstyle before Civ7, cirklejerks positive or negative are just cirklejerks in the end.

See, I call bullshit. You can add all the bells and whistles but if the AI is barely able to function that's hardly mechanically competent and let alone sound. Ib4 muh multiplayer - civilization was always a series you'd also enjoy in singleplayer.

...

...

...

thats just hurtfull.
anyways, what i was saying is that civ games are never worth buying before the expansions are out, because the vanilla version is always shit. the question is, if this vanilla is better than civ5, whihc would be an indicator of how good or bad the game will be when all is said and done.

what are torrents you fucking mongoloid?

how did this retarded line survive all these years?

I've never understood the meme that this game has 'awful graphics'. Grand strategy games almost always have shit graphics, since that isn't the focus of the game, and most people will just go to the tactical map anyway. These graphics seem no more appealing or unappealing then any other entry in the series.

That said, I do see shitting on the leaders. It's like they took the cartoon caricatures of civ: rev, and tried to splice them with the more realistic depictions in V, resulting in this weird uncanny effect. I vaguely remember being able to turn those off though in V, can you do that in VI?

Always one faggot who makes a thread then abandons it, probably fapping on the replies the thread gets.

...

I understand where you are getting at - heroes are supposed to be a long-term investment in the game. You will pay hundreds or even thousands of Dust get them at most with a few points scattered here and there - it is no different than devoting twelve turns in your civ to build a wonder that is very strong.
Still, I think you are over-estimating the power of their skills. Even the Necrophage hero who is designed entirely around food gets at most fifteen food/turn for a single city - and that is not much by EL standards, which increases the overal yield in comparison to Civ for better balance. You can't "improve" field tiles like Civ games either, and his skill that gives 15% to 20% bonus food to a city relies on you having built lots of food production to begin with - and all of this depends on having him as governor instead of in the battlefield. To have decently-leveled governors in every one of your cities requires a considerable investment that might just not pay off in the long-term depending on how far into the game you are.
Shame you do not like it. EL is one of my favorite recent games.

I meant in Civ V, really.

That is all you had to say. Thanks for making my point.

In many ways a step up from the base game of Civ 5.
In a few ways a step down from that.
I think it does have a future, but I am not buying it until I can the Complete Edition in two years or so, hopefully the mods have ramped up by then and I can get some nice unit mods like R.E.D and maybe even a texture mod.

One good goy starts it and tweo or three others keep on posting in it, so it doesn't appear that OP is a shitll himself.
They learn. It takes time, but they learn.

As a small asIde, look what they dId to JFK on a mobile port

I've won a game on difficulty 6 at turn 382. I don't think VI is an improvement over V.

Diplomacy with the AI is completely broken, as is lategame scaling of production. I couldn't meaningfully interact with the AI, Sumer declared war on me at about turn 60 and should have pulverised me but the abysmal combat AI let me win. It looks like the AI moves every single unit they own every turn, which let me pick them off with archers and demand gold for peace.

Until the AI learns how to play I will consider this game garbage. For a multiplayer only title this might be OK, but I would honestly rather play a 6 player 8 hour boardgame. Ed Beach himself designed Here I Stand, which I would play over 6p Civ VI multiplayer in a heartbeat.

no im gonna buy it on discount if it looks good, I was just reminding you that you dont actualy have to spend money if you dont want you retard.

Wow, OP. You sure made a good thread

You sure make it easy to spot you.
Say, how much do you get paid per post?
Just so I know how cheap you really are.

All things considered governors and generals both are probably too impactful, and you are misremembering Necrophage heroes. They get something like +30 food/turn flat (+7/+7/+15) from their first skill and all have either inbuilt food efficiency from Slavery or Food Boost 3, %food boost left out since it takes a long time to reach that. They are definitely one of the weaker governors because of food's exponential costs, but other governors can increase other outputs similarily which become much more impactful.

Hrm. Guess I am. I looked it up from a wiki but it must be outdated information because I never purchased Necrophage heroes and only played them once ages ago. You're right in that they are very impactful though; hopefully that will be toned down in ES2.

nobody is afraid to say anything on the internet

Im afraid to mention a certain institutes name, lest I draw their baleful eyes upon me.

...

...

Holy fucking shit fuck that cunt, in almost every game she's the first person I meet and she spends the rest of the game denouncing and insulting me.

Looks cute.

I have a fetish for that kind of deviated septim. Also any woman who bathed and had all her teeth was considered above average back then. Also, she didn't have many lovers, that's the meme. She was a bitch who even her allies despised because she was a greedy warmonger. Also, she was Greek, so of course you could find many better looking Egyptian women. But as far as Greeks are concerned, she was pretty hot.

Also, I'm not really understanding the complaints about the AI diplomacy.
Until now, every interaction I've had with them made sense.

Folks on another continent largely ignore me, unless we have boats on each other's shore. Some trading is set up, an embassy and that's it.
Civs on my continent start pretty neutral, never get friendly nor enemies for a good while.
Then if I settle near them (or they do) or if I start spreading my religion over theirs, they get pissy, and we go to war 20 to 30 turns later.
Meanwhile, smaller civs (who usually took a beating and fell back to 1 city) are much more friendly and cooperative, unless you conquered their cities.
I haven't had problems making friends with Civs that would logically be friendly: folks from farway, folks who share my religion and government.
There's the agenda thing sure, but that's easy enough to follow. Germany gets all kinds of pissy if you sovereign a city-state, but until you do, they're pretty much bro-tier. Heck, they might be the only civ that applauds you if you crush a city-state.
Same for theodore, as long as you don't go to war, he's cool. Someone declares war on you? Theodore's got your back.

The only retarded bit about diplomacy is when they start asking for free shit everynow and then. Even people who don't really like you, I mean, fuck why would I give you my shekels?

Oh and research agreements. Fuck me, no AI ever wants those for some reason.
Keep in mind though that back on Civ V, the AI suffered a lot of re-work in the early days. Same with Endless Legend and Endless Space too. We might see some tweaks after a while.
For now, I'm happy enough with Gilgamesh teaming up with me to nuke the filthy weebs.

Does it really matter user? With a honker like hers she could barely manage to get any of the dick in her mouth before hitting your waist with that thing.

just use incognito mode

You're talking about a time when pretty much every major superpower originated in the mediterranean. Noses like that are common among people with mediterranean blood. Look at the bust of Julius Caesar. Look at coins from any kingdom back then. Everyone had a schnoz like that. Trust me. I'm Sicilian and I would fuck that face.

...

Are you a hacker?

Civ could have such a better art style.

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't gladiators brought to powerful women for a fuck?

Nobody on Holla Forums is afraid to call the game shit, because it is shit and we said it was gonna be shit from day 1.

Same with Dark Souls 2, which only got better in hindsight with how bad DS3 turned out. And as for MGS, well those people are dumb autists anyway.

Gladiators were a step above slave and were promised a certain amount of dignity. Sex slaves existed, but gladiators weren't among them. Gladiators were entertainers who brought the nobility a nice chunk of revenue.

Why are there no furry or undead races in civilization? All I see are these boring races with boring real-life leaders.

Fuck I hadn't even considered the selling thing. Now that I think about it, that shit is terribly obvious.

It's very difficult to bite when something is forced down your throat user.

Are you the explodey type or the peaceful type?

If they dislike you already for whatever reason, they wont accept your delegations.

I'm related to the type that go around shooting muslim refugees in the head. But my grandparents cut off ties with that part of the family and moved to America.

Were gladiators mostly slaves or did it have its fair share of roman soldiers and foreign mercenaries?
I know it's stupid and wrong to fantasize but can you imagine being a burly as fug gladiator who wins the heart of the crowd every day and then every night some super sexed up woman who's probably more powerful than you'll ever gets the fuck of her life by you? I'm not sure why but that used to be an occurring wet dream for me. Still is.

Germany is basically Mongolia now with how they are all about fucking city states. City states are still a stupid idea, hence the Civ is stupid.

I bet you watch Spartacus.
Gladiators, I would think, were mostly foreigners because the talent scouts were deliberately seeking out muscle, meaning they searched the mines and other hard labor camps when they recruited.

Kay, you're cool. Just keep your family away from the talesworld devs.

Most of the worst members of my family are locked away in a prison near Palermo. The majority are harmless dirt farmers.

Nope, did watch Rome though and Pullo became one of my favorites. Why, is Spartacus basically that?
Thanks for the /his/ lesson user. I wish more boards were active here.

You a made man, user?

So you say they were looking for Big Guys?

Spartacus is basically femdom porn for housewives.

I liked Dark Souls 2 and MGSV was great for the first 60% of the game, i hope they one day release the other 40%.

What hype?

Even if you ignore all the mechanical aspects that make Civ5 and 6 shit, they managed to fuck up the UI for 6 to the point where even experienced players have trouble finding shit. It's not just a devolution in mechanical terms but holistically so to speak, everything is worse compared to 5. Which is an achievement in its own right.

I find it weird how plenty of modern strategy games fail miserably at their UIs. Rome 2, for example, had pretty much shat up its UI and decided to make unit cards nearly unrecognizable.

My mind is telling me no
But my body

No. It's good. Better than Civ 5 at launch but not by much.

Wait 3 years for all the expansions come out and then buy it.

You don't even have to pay for cable.
The show is such smut you can prettty much view the entire series by putting together the clips on xhamster.

Well if they're going for the lowest common denominator, they might as well target the Asian market, you're right.

The funniest part is that the UI is very clearly designed for mobile devices but at the same time manages to be obtuse as fuck even on a regular monitor.

at least it's not "modern art"

You can still do a lot of trades with them and improve your relations with time. Do enough trades and they become economically dependant on you, making them shy of war.

A hero I just hired can outproduce several production building while also giving a flat boost to them. A really good hero I also just hired does that but also gives a massive food, beaker and dust bonus.
A hero I groomed for 500+ 100+ turns has bonuses that quite frankly scare me. And that's without custom races, cloning shenanigans or whatever.

Essentially make Endless games great (again) and tone down the bloody mary sues.

And I never said I didn't like it, in fact I think it's fair to say that it blows AoE3 and Elemental: Whatever clear out of water. I'd even put it in the same tier with some of the FFH2 modmods and that's about the highest praise I can give it without receiving a paycheck

AoW3*

I wasn't a fan of the Art Deco style of 5 but at least it was distinctive. 6's is just… there. Nondescript. At least the music is alright. The leaders often remind me of a Disney or Pixar kids movie though, especially in motion.

That's 1 Hero, that's gonna boost a single city and had a huge cost associated with it. How much did that hero cost you versus that building? If you wanted to place a hero like that in every city, what would cost you instead of just placing those buildings?
Also keep in mind you have a limit to how many heroes you can have, put too many in cities and you don't have enough for the army, and your oponents have heroes too. It's not about one of your cities being more boosted than the others, it's about how boosted your city is compared to your oponent and then things even out.

Civilization died with IV. Everything afterwards is 2K wringing money out of the corpse.
Also your analogy is shit since one could potentially make a case for DaS 2 and MGSV not being shit, despite being absolute disappointments in comparison to previous releases in their franchises.

Wasn't George Washington also suppose to be a leader in this?
Did they just say fuck it and decide to have him be DLC instead?

Why is the UI shit, and confirm/cancel buttons on pop up notifications swapped randomly?

Also why are almost all the quotes they picked for this game terrible?
Looking back at the previous Civ games most of them were so inspirational, or at least was heavily related to the field.
In this game it seemed like they grabbed quotes that are barely related to the fields, went for pop culture related, or humor instead.

Courteney Cox saying she loves lasers, or 'I'll be back', fuck how did they manage to fuck up two trees of researching with terrible quotes?

One of my biggest complaints about CIV VI. Quotes are shit, and no pictures whenever you find a natural wonder, or build your own number.

I bet somebody at the studio said "We can't just have quotes by dead old white men this time!"

How is Civilization better than Endless Legend?

You don't get nausea from looking at the map. That's about it.

DS2 and MGS5 actually have some good qualities that make them maybe worth playing, is the difference.

Hiring a hero generally costs less then buying out a single (early) building. And even one good hero = battleship/turn in ES while also boosting everything almost everything else by 100-500%.
It only snowballs harder when you start using them as generals. Over 9000% (or close) to HP/whatever and they're the perfect tank in EL while having the best cards in ES.

If heroes didn't level then maybe, but get the right hero and you can stop worrying about say research or money. Get the wrong hero and you're pretty much hoping he may yet prove useful 200+ turns later. Get the wrong hero while he gets the right one and you can kiss your ass goodbye.

Heroes as they are currently are ragequit bait in multiplayer and just a means to bully the AI in SP.

jew shill

MGSV was definitely not shit, arguably it was worse than hype but that goes for nearly any anticipated title.

We had no idea they'd cut the content until we had finished it, but the gameplay is spectacular and best of the series, I haven't played any other MGS so much even if I wouldn't rank it the best iteration in the series due to the nonsensical plot and overreliance on audio tapes for explanations.

I don't play PvP, so no idea about that for DaS2. Overall it was a letdown but still a game I enjoyed very much, especially the DLC. The worst thing was the small size of the areas and the enemy tracking. Majula was comfy.

yeah, have some doge coins

How the fuck are you niggers so retarded?
Oh wait, claims of Judaism in a thread not in the slightest related to it other then pandering diversity.
So your Holla Forumsacks and already half retarded.

After Alexander the Great died his General, Ptolmeny went and claimed Egypt for his own.
From his dynasty Cleopatra originally came about which is one of the reasons Ceaser had a hard on for her, since she was the descendant of one of the most loyal generals to someone who was considered a Demi-god by even Romans.

lmao kill yourself

Double zero is still zero

The game is pretty good, just wait for the GOTY/GOLD/ULTIMATE/WATEVER edition with all the expansions

kek
Alpha Centaury > Civ II > Civ III > Civ > shit > Civ IV > cancer > AIDS > Civ V > Civ VI > your mom > Beyond Earth

Fun fact:
The Jews HATED Cleopatra. Not only because of their historical rivalry with the Prolemies, but also because she convinced Marc Antony to force them into a war with the Arabians.

Yiff in hell, furfag.

You shouldn't.

Is that fucking comic sans?

Kek, apparently they couldn't even get the SPESHUL EDISHN ART BOOK right. It shows Civ III screenshots when talking about Civ II.

I wanna bully Tomyris, OP

I wanna bully her so much it hurts.

There is far too little porn of Civ5. And even 6 could be doable.

to be fair humans in general looked like abominations in the olden times. based on that sketch she looks way better than most historical figures i've seen representations for from back then. she passes as a 5 by nowaday standards, perfectly fuckable

Let's not forget that she was the product of a long line of inbreds.
