It seems to be individualistic when it comes down to it. I got some competitive runs with Mega Man X and Zelda 2, but once I snapped out of it and thought. I want to play other fucking games this autistic bullshit. I realized how fucking stupid it really is.

Every decision that's being made seems not only biased as hell, but counter to everything people watching these marathons expect: Good banter, cool games, fun times. Are we even looking at the same schedule? He didn't get in, it's Pessimism doing RE0 Wesker Mode as far as I can tell. I'm fine with either, but considering the series popularity, it just feels bad to limit it to just one game.

I won't deny that. My issue is there's nothing like that this time around. Pepsi Man was an awesome game to watch, the audience and everyone watching it loved it. I want more of that during the marathon, it's a lot of fun, but I don't see any in here. Perhaps calling it a meme game was a poor choice given Holla Forums's use of the term, but comparatively there's very little hype around anything I can see on the schedule.

Only further adding to my complaint that the FPS block is weak as fuck.

What I want is good interaction with the audience and GDQ knowing it's audience. I want to get behind the people playing and crushing these games. Instead, GDQ feels as faceless as some of the names on the schedule. The ones we know, Bonesaw, Caveman, for wanting to do more with it got banned or suspended.

In the format it's in, it doesn't feel human anymore. It doesn't feel like cool people doing cool things anymore, and everyone's disillusioned by it.

/agdqg/ took advantage of the freedom they had and shitposted non stop to the point where they were openly shitting on runners in the donation comments when the staff wasn't filtering them as much, and making the chat completely impossible to read during the streams.

Ultimately i don't know if it was entirely his fault or not, but he ran RE2 and SH3 SGDQ 2016.
He was INSUFFERABLE.
He had nothing to fucking say the entire run and kept repeating "let's-a go"

and over
and over
For fucking hours.
Apparently the reason was that he hadn't slept at all and was in full zombie mode but it's really not an excuse, he managed to turn two runs that were supposed to range from very good, to at least decent and informative, into two incredibly dull runs with some of the worst, most mindless commentary every that enter cringe territory by sheer catchphrase repetition.

I never want to see him again, regardless of the circumstances that lead to his shitshow.

At least NASA & ESA lets people golf, they ended up being surprisingly great runs too

There's some good RPG Maker games out there, but most of the games since its creation was generic weebshit RPGs and ruined the engine's reputation. Not to mention, Tumblrfags want to make their own "Yume Nikki-inspired" game and shits up its reputation even more.

the main issue is that the engine is incredibly restrictive and the devs won't allow mods to directly affect the engine itself.
basically anything that wants to improve either the editor or change the client up too much is BTFO
