Pretty much how I felt user I got this randomly on amazon back in 2015 I first thought it was going to be pure ass but it was what modern FE should of been with localization that wasn't censored or changed unlike with the cucking that Treehouse did on Fates.

seriously, the undub makes out of a 4/10 game a 9/10 game.

My Archibald pretty much blocked like 50% of the enemies attacks and one-shotted most enemies, and I had a item on him that made him move again after he took out an enemy to weaken another one. Maybe if you learned to use him right.

My Archibald is a blocking machine by now, and his abilities to dash and hit enemies are great, they deal terrific damage.

The thing with Arch is that you march him slowly to the bulk of he forces while keeping two or three others with him, slowly but surely bearing down on your target

Yeah there's the issue, just throw rusty dorothy and anyone else out front, watch them clear the entire map in 2 turns.
Slow characters are fucking useless in it because later maps are so huge.

It's a decent SRPG, the music is nice. Nothing too fantastic about it, but unfortunately decent means it's probably one of the best SRPGs on the 3ds right now. genre is being fucked to death atm.
It keeps the plot's pacing up well, and outside of one section there isn't really filler which is nice. The gameplay as I said before standard SRPG fare "equip your dudes, kill enemies, read a block of text, get better gear, kill enemies, read text repeat". There's a relationship system which by spending time with characters unlocks certain abilities. Rusty has one of the best abilities in the game "sprint" which is unlocked this way.
If you max a waifu they get a costume change and an ultimate spell.

The problem is AoE spells take years to resolve. The true ending requirements are really arbitrary max your captain's friendship ASAP so that someone massively later in the game doesn't commit sodoku. The overall difficulty falls somewhere in between a pulse check and an active brain cell, except for a single part. Few escort missions here and there.

Overall though it's a solid 6-7/10 game, not fantastic, but it's good enough to waste some time on.

There's also that matter of that mission. You know the one, where your AI teammate will fail the mission for you over and over

That's where you realize that speed is the most important stat.
but yeah that one was garbage, thankfully it's fairly easy.

The strategy is to leave one or two enemies behind your forces so that the AI doesn't run forward to die.
