We have one perfect Vampire game and that's enough.

They're kind of boring so yeah.

...

t-thanks microsoft

kill yoursef

I'd say werewolves are underrepresented in games

But, vampires ARE boring! There's no need to be butthurt about it.

Her blood is magical. It's the reason she's able to use it both as a shield and as a weapon. It's essentially nano-machines. Every other character that's mortal has red blood that you can visibly see.

...

I don't think they're even presented in the first place

...

...

I kinda liked how werewolves were represented in Skyrim with the help of a few mods

Vampires are overrepresented in movies so it's not really surprising that games don't use them much

There is altered beast and the tiny bit they got in elder scrolls, cant really think of any other games.

...

But games can break the trend and do them right.

Reminds me of the twilight craze where shitty women authors would write up novels of teen vamps not to get cash, but rather out of "passion" for literature.

but what are teen authors writing now a days about? are they still making twilight clones?

I never thought much about vampires being underrepresented, because I don't know.
Though one of the Youtubers I'm subscribed to was stating that dragons are underrepresented.

What do you mean underrepresented? There are more vampires in games than gamers who are vampires. Same with niggers.

I really want to play KI but I dont have a Xboner or a W10 PC. Life is suffering.
Also on topic; wampires are a plenty in vidya, we need more werewolves.

Vampires, much like zombies, are over-represented in movies (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_films) and other media therefore they are privileged. Now won't someone please think of the poor marginalised leprechauns, jiangshi, and banshees?

Supernatural creatures of all kinds are underrepresented in games and when they do appear are oppressed!

#GhoulLivesMatters

funny you say that,

...

I forgot about this story
Wanted to sign up for those Ghoul Hunter Brigades

My foot is underrepresented in your ass

What kind of vampire?

Maybe a horrible murderous merchant like a Peter Lorre character as well.

...

We still can. Rhodesia hasn't been reclaimed yet.

There are next to no good games about any kind of mythology. Sucks really, there's a lot of potential just sitting there. We did get one good vampire game so I suppose you should be glad for that. Werewolf fags i.e. furries got jack shit though.

Which ones, the "detailed" mod?

New LoK game never ever Vae victis ;_;

Recommended.

I thought everyone hated betrayal? I dont know I only played the first 1.

I haven't played the main series but I liked Betrayal for the gameplay, still cheap in certain levels but overall is great if you like stuff like DMC, this is basically a 2D version of those games.

Castlevania has werewolves. VtMB also has one.

Thinking of games that let you play one

Shiiiieeeet

Seems like all you need for a post-apocalyptic zombie/ghoul setting to larp in is to let niggers take over your city.

Okay, Castlevania still counts.

Which one? I didnt play too many of them

tfw no monster mash bro's

Legacy of Darkness for the n64.

Oh, and Judgement, since the protag of Legacy of Darkness is one of the playable fighters.

Vampires are not represented because as you know jews like to remain hidden from public

You've done it now

This sounds really cool. Especially as a RTWP. At night, you play Dracula, hunting for prey and using money you get off of them to upgrade your castle.
During the day, you play Igor, greeting guests and trying to keep them out of forbidden rooms while trying to lead them towards traps.

...

trash opinion fam

You know what's actually interesting, an old notion of Vampires, is that if you left them alone locked in a room, they would probably do something autistic like count every single grain of sand they could find.
Sounds like both the Count and the Jews tbh.

Last I remember teen authors were all about Battle Royale clones.

I remember when the Hunger Games came out and people were trying to sell it as a serious dystopia akin to brave new world or something.

...

wow

Beast-type vampires are becoming more common, but they're never handled well imo.

Rake-type vampires are more commonly known, and people think they're boring because the writers never handle them properly.

Find an indie dev and write a game that doesn't suck for them.

Fine, I'll post an actual vampire instead of a sub-vampire.

This is too much of a coincidence, Holla Forums.

Clearly you haven't been playing video games. Vampires are overrepresented among undead.

Wolfchild for the Sega CD.

All the WinStore games are failing for the same reason of being winstore exclusives, so i'm optimistic they will put the game on Steam at least.

In other topic, has the models from the new KI been ripped already for animations and porn?

Like father, like son.

Did you seriously think cunts can into literature?

...

Vidya is full of tons of bloodsuckers now, what are you talking about?

What's Dracula's problem?

He's a jew.

He's pissy his waifu died.

The only games with werewolves I played were Diablo 2 and Skyrim which is a shame. Vampire the Masquerade portrayed them really well I think. I loved how they're like Dahaka and you just have to get the fuck out because they're territorial tanks and will rip your torso off.

10/10

wut

I'm sorry but he's a jew, there is no defending it.

That's not how it works, you fool.

Which one is it?

come one, everyone knows that, stop denying it.

Nationalism didn't exist back then, he was a Christian really hated invading muslims.

warcraft(though they're pretty poorly written)
Golden Sun 2(Right? Or was that in 3?)
I feel like there's a werewolf in Killer Instinct?

It has existed since the very first tribes of men.

Nations existed, nationalism as you know it today came around the 19th century.

Nigger what are you smoking?
Nationalism has existed for as long as people have banded together into groups called "nations."
Hell, it was an old concept for the Jews by the time Jesus showed up about 2016 years ago.

You're an idiot.

Are you saying that nationalism didn't exist in the age where people would kill their families for insulting their homeland?

The concept of nation and nationality was completely unknown to the masses prior to the 19 century.
Nationalism as a ideology was born between the industrial revolution and french revolution

Read some history books nigger

Yes, because it has nothing to do with nationalism as a ideology, also loyalty to your suzerain =/= nationalism

dictionary.com/browse/nationalism

you are wrong, people always realized they spoke different lanuages and had different customs than some other groups of people.

Then why did the Jews tried to form their own nation with the Zionist movement faggot? That was before the 19 century

What do you mean "people"?

The 90% of the serfs/peasants in the middle ages that didnt gave a fuck who ruled over them?
The 5% of clerics that only gave a fuck about well being of church?
Or maybe the remaining 5% of nobility that often committed treason and sold their "nation" for gold?

Who is the best vampire of videogames and why is it Slayer?

Again, you're an idiot.

Straight form kikepedia

Sure thing m8, sure thing

Why learn about history when you can just spout memes.

Careful with that, he's even debatabley white.

Shit, this one is actually amusing. Its "coloured tv invented colour" tier

There's no fixing stupid. I'm sorry. You fail to see logic.

...

I'm sorry, but you don't belong here
>>>/reddit/

The age you're referring to is the one I'm talking about which wasn't that long ago relatively. Insulting your homeland before romantic nationalism would be equivalent to calling the city or town you live in shit. Hardly something to get worked up about.
If you asked someone back then what they were, they'd probably call themselves christian.

You offered no logic faggot, kill yourself.

retarded or a troll, i can't tell

...

Faggot

Thought that first pic was of a blemmyes, from the thumbnail.

Is there any vidya of those?

no dude, believe it or not, even before 19. century people refered to other people such as "French" "Dutch" "Teutonic" or "English bastards"

Nah, it's clearly still on topic. Thread is currently full of bloodsuckers.

Vampires were ruined by cunts, just like they ruin everything else they touch. They went from monsters with cool powers to walking dicks meant to enable their rape fetish.

This is the reason there are no more good vampire games.

...

no, they were all part of the white European master race and any wars that happened were all done by jews.

The new romance novel themes have love interests that are far more absurd than 10,000 year old vampires attending modern high school with werewolves or alien bounty hunters from space saving an average earth girl who is actually a princess who controls a galactic empire but doesn't know it.

Think fit young black billionaire Silicon Valley genius in charge of the most powerful and influential company in all of American history that simply controls everything on the internet falling heads over heels for a plain fresh out college hire working at the bottom of the ladder in customer support.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Circle_(Eggers_novel)

This is probably going to be the next 'Twilight' everybody was waiting for. Huge stars are going to be in the film adaptation this upcoming April: Tom Hanks, Emma Watson, John Boyega(nigger from new the Star Wars, as love interest of course). The timing of this combined with the borderline deification of tech company CEOs means it's either going to be a huge hit with younger audiences or tank both Emma and John's career.

Either way expect to see a lot of threads on Holla Forums and blog posts/articles about race mixing when the trailer comes out this Christmas season.

That is so 2015.

I remember reading the circle, I dont remember the love interest being black though.

Maybe you're thinking of this Twilight fanfic?

I think vampire hunters are underrepresented, actually. There's usually a token one or group, if the game has vampires, but very few games actually focus on the task of hunting down and slaying vampires.

There's a little problem with your hypothesis: That book isn't a romance novel and it has nothing to do with the Twilight crowd.

The book is a critique of Silicon Valley celebrity CEO's and how many of their products are accelerating the surveillance society,

Vampires haveā€¦ taken a turn for the worst lately. I'm fine with there being no vampires for a while, because I'm not sure I'd like whatever modern vampire fiction they're inspired by.

Good taste, user.

Why would you even give a look at that shit?

lol, no. Nationalism is a whole lot more than what some of you seem to think it is.

lol no

loli vampires need more representation in video games they're so oppressed because of mean bullies.
bullying loli = privilege

and we need more fap material

Absolutely yes! Finally a vampire thread

Vampires are trash.

Indeed

I envy you user but don't come bitching to us when a new VTM game gets made and you're a xir

Confirmed for actually knowing what the fuck they're talking about

Looks like you triggered some idiots.
Good on you.

Shit, I never realized it; women ruined vampires for us.
True Blood might have helped with that too: TV show with an emphasis on hot vampires fighting over 1 "magical" lucky chick.

Right, so Germany wanted unification for hundreds of years because they weren't actually nationalistic.

It's new VtMB, son. It'll be what the new VtMB game is based off, son.

It's just Vampire: The Masquerade. Bloodlines or Redemption were just the names of the games.
And also a friendly reminder that White Wolf Publishing went truly cuck the moment paradox acquired them. Yes, the EU/CK/HoE paradox

The protagonist of The Circle is a Plain Jane nobody set to lead a dull boring life who gets romantically involved with a mysterious stranger that is the most sought after bachelor on the planet. A quantum jump later she goes from zero in social standing to one of the most powerful women in American society with adoring fans in the tens of millions worldwide thanks to her use of social media, that she also uses to improve the world of course, because you might as well throw that in there.

It's going to be categorized as a 'Pretty Woman' style movie except for modern audiences who have no idea who Richard Gere is it'll be compared to Twilight instead since it's almost as fantastical.

If she didn't become romantically involved with Kalden I'd agree with you.

I can't fucking believe this

But that's a vegetable ya' grot

So it really is a fantasy, ok then.

But of course.

Meh, Harold Robbins did it better decades ago.

yeah

Pumpkins are fruit

regardless that one looks like a dog dick

So a fucking malkavian was the project manager? No wonder we never heard anything about that project. I never really had high hopes for an mmo though, I just want another good vampire rpg

Are you aware user?

Vampire Touhous.

There's the furry town in Golden Sun dark whatever (the third one), and Saberwulf is indeed in killer instinct.

spooky kawaii

I have this sudden urge to watch Tom & Jerry now.

WEW

I agree we need more loli vampires.

That was the 19th century, retard. You're thinking of the 1900's.

Pretending to be retarded never gets old, eh?

Thanks, but no. It's a letdown after the first two titles. Nothing surpasses the fun I had playing the first one with the gratuitous dismemberment cheat enabled.

This fine gentleman gets it.

You know, as cathartic as it is to blame lonely housewives and teenaged girls for the decline of vampires as monsters, I think the real reason nobody writes them as being scary anymore is because of historical and societal reasons, namely, that what society fears changes. Thinking back to the Bram Stoker novel, Count Dracula was scary because he represented England's fear of immigration at the time (back then it was the ones from eastern Europe, mostly) and because people back then were genuinely terrified of their souls being damned to Hell. The unnerving parts about vampires at the time was that it was incredibly appealing: being able to live forever while staying young and attractive as well as getting some bitchin' powers, but at the cost of not only having to abide by some pretty stupid rules and living like a subhuman parasite, but also that choosing to do so would condemn your soul to Hell for all eternity. The fear was that despite all those things being pretty damn bad for you, the allure of eternal life and youth for murder would make you want to do it. The idea of permanently falling out of God's grace and never being allowed into paradise due to temptation was the ultimate fear that vampires embodied because they became popular in a time when people as a whole were much more religious.

Today, that fear doesn't really translate too well. If you went on the street and offered people a free sandwich in exchange for their soul, most people would probably laugh and jokingly "give" you their soul, or if they refuse it's likely because they're more suspicious that you did something to the sandwich. Religiosity has declined since Dracula and very few people in the modern word think too much about the state of their soul. Because of this, the negative aspect of vampirism is severely downplayed if not outright negated and it basically just becomes a really cool superpower with a few token drawbacks like aversion to sunlight, garlic, and crosses.

I think an old-fashioned bodyhorror approach would make vampires scary again; something needs to be done to balance it out since the old fear of vampires has been lost on the modern generation and it needs a new con to make it less appealing as a power fantasy, maybe a neat direction would be with another blood-sucking animal instead of a bat: a leech.

If not something so drastic, then perhaps a return to form would be necessary, in the original folklore vampires were short and ugly peasants and had traits of rats and spiders instead of bats, which is what Count Orlok from Nosferatu was heavily based off of.

The Secret World also had a neat take on modern vampires, where the elegant and aristocratic vampires spread their disease too much until they had an army of hybrids made up of convicts, thugs and criminals who had to constantly wear heavy clothing to block out the sun and are looked down on by the blue blood vampires as being crass, disposable shock troopers; something to make the vampire lifestyle less glamorous.

I can't believe it's fucking current year

Interesting observation. I did bloody enjoy Anne Rice's interpretation of Vampires as well. Very old school, refined, elegant, but very attractive to women as well.

Bram Stoker's Dracula was also a combination of different vampire folklore into one. This is also why going off of that book in particular gives them a shit ton of different powers and a ton of different flaws. At the beginning of the book, Dracula was gaining sustenance from murdering children in the local village. He wasn't flying or anything to get to them, he was crawling down the sides of the castle and up to the children's rooms to do so. This is based on the Chinese concept of the vampire that would crawl into children's rooms at night and kill them by biting off their head and drinking the blood from the stump.

Remembering that kind of thing is part of the vampire tradition would add to the fear factor. They are predators, and humans are their food, and predators do not make it a habit of going after the prey in the prime of their life.

Or, just twist the fetish. Dhampirs, born from the union of a vampire and a human, are traditionally supposed to have a bone disease or some such. You don't have to go that far, but some kind of crippling weakness that ensures that the children of such a union are regularly used as more potent/flavorful food for the vampires that spawned them would result in a fair bit of disgust.

...

Perhaps the scariest thing to millennial fucks is responsibility, confronting themselves, and accepting who they truly are. So perhaps a monster that is a reflection of self, or something representing sloth, or a monster that preys especially on traitors and deserters. I imagine Silent Hill being able to do some good shit to the current vidya market, especially if the protagonist is some pozzed piece of shit who can't confront the reality in front of them. Something about not being able to lie to yourself, not being able to escape what you really are.

Nigga that shit was broken as fuck when it first came out and remained broken for years until fans fixed it. Even still the final game has a lot of strong flaws owing to how it was unfinished. Like how most of the ending was scrapped and a lot of the endings progress identically (anarch and lone wolf for example). It's hard to really call it "perfect"

Granted, neither is Soul Reaver. It suffered from similar problems. Not the least of which being so much of the best content they planned for the game (The human citadel which was necessary to actually flesh out the world of the game, in the final game you only really see vampires and humans are just in the background) was completely cut and removed.
