I heard it uses the plus version instead of basic one, that's it. I mean, what shitty patch can it use? There is only one except for wesp's to my knowledge, Tessara's, and they wouldn't use that.

The basic version of the unofficial patch is included in the GOG release, which fixes bugs & makes it playable on modern machines. I would still suggest seeking out the "plus" version of the unofficial patch for restored content and extras though, it's very well done.

Downloaded the unofficial patch last night. It's pretty cool that it includes a sdk and all the rest of it. It only took them 12 years to fix that coughing loop xD just wondering if it's the best way to play the game though because it seems like whichever I pick won't work with the other mods.

I haven't actually had a chance to play it yet though because I got back from work absolutely knackered.
Anyone played with any of the other mods? Thinking about going through as Brujah again but this time as a woman to see if the dialogue changes etc and also because I love a bit of celerity and presence.

The 'basic' version still includes things like cutting out interface audio and restructuring the ocean house hotel to make scares less subtle and move out secrets out into the open, as well as introducing bugs like the game not being able to properly differentiate between the different persuasion skills in dialogue and phones and other objects floating out of characters' hands.

I only played 9.0 en up, so I have no idea about that.

I liked Redemption. While it was graphically and in some parts mechanically underwhelming, even for it's time, fluff-wise it blows Bloodlines out of the water. Christophe was both relatable and believable as a character, the fact that you had a coterie actually made you think once or twice when leveling instead of going "Is Ranged at 10 yet?" and we actually got to see Sabbat members who aren't either RIP&TEAR or mustache-twirling cardboard cutouts like Andrei. All in all I'd recommend giving it a try if you actually like V:tM and Dark Ages fluff and don't mind RPGs where the main PC is an established and voiced character. Admittedly, the dialogue, especially in the Dark Ages half of the game, can get slightly cringey.

But ranged is objectively worse than melee, user.

She's easy tho. Specializing in ranged just for the sake of one fight - and even then, just to make it a bit faster? And it's not like I can't purchase flamethrower even with next to nothing spent on ranged. It's not a sniper rifle, you know.

It's the little things that make mods great.

Recently got the GOG version as well and yes it does come with the unofficial patch pre-installed.

Thing is I deleted the folder and installed clans mod on top of it and I haven't had any problems so far and I'm up to Hollywood. Clans mod also uses 9.2 as the unofficial patch.

I need help.

I'm at the part where you need to find the second video tape for Isaac but after talking to the guy at the porn shop you're supposed to answer a public phone and no matter what I do I can't interact with it.

How do I fix this? Also, I'm using the 9.6 patch.

Have you played the game before? If so, save and try to noclip to the place the second video tape is, perhaps it'll work. Otherwise I'm sure that you can set quest states with console commands, I've done it before. I can try to find the command to set it after the phone conversation if you want

Otherwise I don't know what's causing it. Are you sure you're near the right phone? Try going through some loading screen and going near it again

Thanks. I tried noclipping through like you said and it worked. The scripted events didn't play like they were supposed to but I managed to get the tape and finish it. First time playing so I had to look up a video to find out where to go.

Anyway, this game is pretty fun even though it feels unfinished.

I think my Tremere Fledgling did pretty good for herself this run. Was worth installing Clans mod to play through again.
I've played Vanilla, unofficial patch basic and plus, Antitribu and Camarilla edition, so this was kind of a fresh run for me.

Any tips when playing Clan Quest Mod ? i have only been playing VTMB whit the unnoficial patch these past years and just some skins.

Clans mod combines a few mods as well as it's own content.

Have the console enabled. Sometimes a follower gets stuck in something and you need no clip for that sometimes.
Having Camarilla + companions + unofficial patch plus is nice.
Don't know if you should install the Arsenal mod. Some of the new guns are nice but things like the dragon's breath and incendiary thumper can be lethal if enemies have it.
The poster quest isn't in, instead you'll earn posters when you finish different side quests.
Blood drains over time as well but it's one point every 5-10 minutes or so. So you'll need to go feed regularly but it doesn't feel like a handicap.
Walkthroughs can be found on planet vampire if you get stumped.

If you've played plus patch before though, you should be able to see the differences but it will still seem familiar to you.

gameplay was meh, but I quite enjoyed the story. I'd recommend watching the cutscene only version if you have 3.5 hours to spare

They filed a trademark a few months ago. They've been quiet since though. Could be for a remastered version of Bloodlines or a new game, who knows.

Nosferatu have to use the sewers and can't use blood dolls nor can they be seen by humans, as they would break the masquerade that way. Which is why Obfuscate is so important to them.
They also get a unique haven in the Warrens after going there.

Most important NPCs freak out but still work with you. I know VV has specific lines for Nosferatu as well.

A remastered version of Bloodlines would be nice but considering current year I wouldn't want anything to do with it. Paradox can take their nonsense and shove it up their asses as well.
