I've played them, but I wouldn't say it's a favorite series of mine. I would like them a lot more if they didn't have such terrible pacing. Starless had its share of scenes that were a little too long and some missed opportunities Really, Marisa gets to piss in your mouth almost every morning but you barely get to see Marika? but I felt it was overall better written, and the guy who writes these games is legit good at building dread and tension.

The Taimanin series, on the other hand, seems to specifically try and wear itself out. The non-porn sections are long and plodding, and then the porn sections come along and end up staying so long and moving so slowly that you're just waiting for them to end after a point. The games basically alternate between making me sick of the plot sections and making me sick of the porn sections. The writing isn't good enough to make the chunks of plot interesting for long stretches of time, and the porn scenes tend to move along at a glacial pace.
