Neocron - Old Cyberpunk MMORPG

F A S H, 90s matrix suit and synth, have your own comfy apartment Edition

Neocron is a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk MMORPG, its faction based & class based but not entirely restricted, skills can help you gain shekels or do other things like cybernetic implants, hacking, researching, constructing, etc. etc.

Players can get their own apartment and are able to place furniture around as they please.

The game is old as fuck and dates back to 2002, The servers are still alive and running and is still receiving updates, there is no pay to win feature from what I can tell, the game is entirely free.

cool i always wanted to check this game out, it's supposed to be related to dude sex or something.
Will download once i fix this defective flash drive

reminds me of early fom, i am intrigued.

PRIVATE EYE

The Private Eye does not specialize in any particular area. All of his skills are comparatively weak at the beginning, although evenly developed.

The Private Eye is your average Neocron citizen, who owns a small apartment in Plaza or Via Rosso and leads a normal life. He moves from job to job and doesn't consider performing courier services for the local companies beneath him. However, he has the potential of becoming a bounty hunter, a Psi fighter, a playboy, or even a criminal. Nevertheless, it is a long road to any of those ‘positions’ for an average citizen.

A player choosing this class for his Runner strives for an balanced distribution of skill levels in all areas, but must be aware of the fact that this Runner can never be as good in any one skill as a class specializing in that particular area.

SPY

The Spy is versatile and agile – both physically and mentally. His physical strength has limits, but he can use his razor-sharp mind in many areas – as a system Hacker, for example, or a Rigger (drone operator) – not open to other Runners.

Although representatives of this class are particularly agile and fast, the Spy is inferior to the Private Eye in terms of physical strength. He can make up for this by training, having the potential for excellent development in many areas. Should he, however, choose to hone his physical fighting skills he will have a much harder time doing so than will the Private Eye. All skills involving dexterity, though, will be easier for him to develop.

GENTANK

The GenTank is a product of the Ceres Wars (see 7.1 History). He is particularly robust and strong and was bred as a genetically engineered soldier.

After the war was over, the human tanks were left to themselves for ‘humanitarian reasons’ rather than being destroyed. Due to the fact that the original genetic blueprint did not call for any particular emotional or intellectual prowess, a GenTank cannot develop any Psi skills.

This emotionally disturbed individual is extremely aggressive and talented in the use of all kinds of classes.

PSI MONK

Physically, the Psi Monk is at a considerable disadvantage due to his historical evolution. Even with the greatest effort, it is nearly impossible for him to become a good fighter in the traditional sense. In the area of Psi skills, however, all avenues of development are open to him.

Psi Monks were the ruling class in Neocron up until the Ceres Wars. Among other things, they created the genetic blueprints for the GenTanks, who turned the tide of the war in favor of Neocron. After the war was over the morally strengthened populace revolted against the heartless regime of the Psi Monks. The Monks were persecuted and driven underground. Following civil reforms and the introduction of the LawNet, they were rehabilitated and can now once again move freely in the city. Nonetheless, they are still despised – or at the very least distrusted – by the populace.

Dead game.

its pretty obvious, but it doesn't hurt to have fun with Holla Forums

How?

I think that because what user said:

less activity means less payment for the server yes? they are on the loss/negative for sure though, but I guess its being treated like a WoW private server.

...

site says its community run, likely off donations or nothing at all. Basically a dedicated group of modders at this point.

take that capitalistfags

cheer fam, will give this a shit on the weekend.

that IS capitalism.

>>>Holla Forums

isn't your kind supposed to be ruining the post quality of Holla Forums?

this game was a shitty joke when it was released two millenia ago. only eurotrash children played it

so is there a Holla Forums guild/faction?

not that i'm aware of, last time there was a thread on this game someone focused on the brotherhood of crahn

Is it that game where no one plays it and you cant to anything?

How is this possible?

I checked the developers to see if they were Slavs. They aren't. That just raises even more questions

not really, the downside is that if no one is around, your chance of getting augmentation is dim, but that is pretty much it.

are they germans?

how about idle rich
are they idle rich?

...

Exploring outside the city was pretty fun too.

where is the last pic located?

I've actually seen that happen before.

Haven't played in a while, don't really remember much other than picking a direction and going. Oh, and also there's that other abandoned city.

I had fond memories of it from childhood. Sounds like it gave you bad memories as an adult tho, haha.

OH GOD DUDE, WHAT.

heh

What is combat like anyway? It was before WOW so I hope it's not target garbage?

Combat plays out like the first Deus Ex game, I say this because of the shitty taser.

...

had to restart this shit for a better res on windowed mode.

currently on my shitty apartment.

So I can play "PvE-only"? There's enough content for that?

Yes, the game feels more like a singleplayer then a multiplayer game.

Now I'm interested. That's not to say I'd actively push against any MP, it's just I've tried traditional MMOs (Lineage II, anyone?) years ago and discovered they are not my thing.

it can't be worst then mankind divided, that i'll tell you.

This guy has been sitting here for 14 years straight.

so does anyone know how to repair items?

...

Maybe his legs aren't okay?

How the heck do I PPU?
I just want to be a dirty cyberpunk healslut for my master but I can't level up or even hand in quests if I'm not actually killing aggressors.

but anarchy is an old ass game.

This game is pretty fuggin great. Been playing it a few weeks now. If you like post-apoc technocratic cities, german in global chat, or video games in general I can't recommend it highly enough.

how do you get money on this game?

I remember the last time this was hyped on Holla Forums / /cyber/

The game has great aesthetics but man it feels shitty to play. I got an oldfag sugardaddy to hook me up with tons of creds and he showed me how to grind doing shitty repetitive quests over and over, taking a quest from a terminal, going to a table in the room and doing some crafting thing, then returning to the terminal ad nauseum.
And I saw the combat as well before I found the oldfag and it was pretty unfun, it's all dicerolls like Morrowind, not that there's anything wholly wrong with that, but when I'm in a sewer trying to shoot a bug/rat and the few bullets that hit do no damage and I'm reduced to punching it only to miss 90% of the time I ended up handing the money the guy gave me back to him because I wanted to stop playing.

killing monsters gives you creds, and they drop loot. some more valuable than others. though really if you start playing one of the oldfags will give you some starter cash/guns/implants.

Combat is not dice rolls. its like deus ex in that guns have aiming time and melee doesn't. The higher your weapon lore, dexterity and relevant weapon skill, the more quickly you reach peak accuracy and the less accuracy you can lose while moving.

well thats like 90% of all old mmorpg, I remember my days grinding on runescape.

If you want to play this remember to specialize. You're either a crafter or you're combat. pistols or rifle. high-tech if you wanna use laser/plasma pistols or rifles. if you're combat, every single point from every int level goes into weapon lore.

Can a crafter spec in both manufacture and repair, or blueprints and manufacture?

I think manufacture and repair yes since they're different stats.

You commies are even more delusional that stormfags.

Sage for off-topic.

how do you even level as a crafter?

craft. go to your faction HQ and get crafting jobs. they'll give you all the parts except the crafting tool. this'll net you extra exp, faction standing and creds

Do you recommend a specific faction to go along with a crafting character?

I'm looking at tangent and they seem to be focused on weapon crafting so I don't know.

I've got a craftfag in tangent but yeah they are weapon specialists. You'd honestly have to ask one of the old-timers. sorry mate

From what I've seen around wikis, Fallen Angels and BioTech both have the best crafting implants. Fallen Angels also have a crafting glove as their epic reward.

It's also a far better game.

So first time booting this, I guess I want to try a Smuggler Spy.

I am stuck on what faction to choose since that seems like a pretty important choice, and I didn't fuck with my stats at all since I quite frankly have no idea what I am in for going into this.

Can anyone help me out?

okay now i'm coming in for real Holla Forums

bump

a far better game at being shit.

So even slight deviations produce unviable builds? That's some hard specialization.

neat

I am interested in trying it out, only if it is guaranteed Holla Forums will play it.

Seems pretty cool, will check it out later.

Anarchy Online was pretty fun, annoying to get into after all the expansions though.

Toaster friendly?

I haven't played this in months. I might pick it back up again, though I'll probably make a new character to get the hang of things.

It's from 2002, you'll probably be able to run it.

pretty painful to start tbh.

niggers, wait for neocron classic, it rolls back some fuckups from neocron 2

but doesn't it remove contents from 2?

they are keeping some content from 2 but removing the fuckups like the faction bases in the cities, so the pvp is more active, in classic each faction is spread around the world, and shiet, and fixing some raids and dungeons

o-ok

Worked just fine for me. Didn't have enough time to play much beyond the tutorial though.

i did, i just removed it from the screenshot so nobody copies it

I have no idea what your issue could be since I only just started playing myself but it definitely worked.

actually i googled the issue now
apparently if your password has special characters it causes this weird issue, yesterday though it was actually disabled for 20 minutes for some other reason

what.

Will it update eventually?

Any of you faggots in the game?

I just started, want to focus on crafting and shit, leave your character's name on here.

Character's Pallas, currently in Pepper Park Sec-3 trying to figure out where the fuck transportation is.

how many Holla Forumsirgins are playing this atm?

not much, most of us are clueless about the UI.

so far the onlything I am clueless about is how to use the PSI glove, I even figured out how to hack without the slightest idea what are the rules of hacking and what i was doing!

what awaits me on hacking? is there some cybernetic world to explore on one of those weird terminals around the city?

This is how the hacking screen looks like.
on the right under the middle line you can see some dots, as you activate the links from the left you stop the code float in the middle line and the dots fill with stars. You have a time limit for this and the right side is intercepting your connections by termination making you lose stars. basically. the more links you make with a single charge the better.

P.S. there is also cyberspace but i don't know squat about it yet. So far from what I've noticed you can move freely around it as long there's a path and there's viruses floating around which didn't do anything to my presence. you probably can fight them somehow.

sounds neat.

how the fuck do I add furniture/prop to my apartment?

I didn't even know there was furniture.

I remember the general of this on /cyber/ and Holla Forums a year or two ago.

Holy shit it's still alive?

I think I got it, you need to purchase the furniture from a store and then purchase a constructor to place the object on the apartment.

its lit green and kind of invisible for me but I can't place it yet, I need to figure out what i'm doing wrong.

can a hacker specialize on crafting?

No. A good crafter needs to use all INT points on construction skill, and a good hacker needs at least lv 150 hacking. Having around lv 30 hacking is useful for most basic supply boxes.

Bumping with some synth

it has half life 1 graphics so yes.

so I can't get it from the terminals?

How the hell is this still alive?

you will hardly find someone playing, you can still find them though, but not always.

because KK weren't total dickheads and gave the game to the community to run. SOE could learn a thing or two.

sorry Holla Forums but I can't play with you guys till NC Classic comes out as NC2 was the cancer.

what happened with NC2? also when is the classic coming out?

Re-did all the characters
Removed the nudity
The level design was made significantly worse
PvP was a lot more fun and far more brutal.

I mean PvP was more fun in NC1 is what I meant, you had a law enforcement chip that when removed allowed open PvP anywhere.

...

oh fuck, server is down.

more pls

...

is this minigame similar to those old connecting pipeline games?

saved.

Dr Pavel, I'm CIA.

I was SigmaHex

FUCK I NEED FOM BACK
Why did they fuck it up so badly in later versions of FoM.

if you ever played Paradroid, its the same as moving to a new host robot. im sure youtube will have a vid. you're trying to power more nodes than the opponent by using the circuits/logic gates in combination with timing and efficiency

here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=OEam-zQgWcU
explanation is 30 secs in

heya. redd from 14K here.
not playin, just lurkin.
wonder who else is kicking about…

Sir?

oh I saw you in the help chat.

whatever happened to that one german guy who got massively asspained over people talking about hitler.

Holy fucking fuck.

Get the inquisition in here now.

...

...

...

wewlad

but how the fuck do you expect to pvp when the game barely has enough people to play or pvp for that matter.

So does anyone know how to powerlevel a constructor without having to deal with shitty faction missions that takes ages to do?

...

...

And this one

...

bump

are you darkrct?

I know you faggots are here, why do you nerds refuse to build me a fucking gatling gun for my spy?

all it takes is a newbie constructor and thats it, quit being faggots and put that big pack of grease/lube to good use.

Which faction is good for a melee character

fallen angels, but I would first start out as the first one which is city admin and swapping factions in the near future.

shoo shoo >>>Holla Forums

Then kill yourself, you mediocre human being.

Does anarchy online still have an active community of people playing it? I could see trying to take the dive if it does.

Also, I'm really intrigued by this game, but a little annoyed about not being able to get augs in single player. If the communities small and dedicated this could still be worth it though right?

even if it does, the worldmap would be too massive and you will only encounter a soul on that game if he's on the main city.

also forgot screenshots

also I found this

Well, I might still have my old account back when 8/v/ shilled this thing 2 or so years ago.
I remember making an hacker and diving in cyberspace a lot atleast.

I think I found the last place, not specifically but the design is similar

downloading right now, bored stiff as a board so I'll give it a go

there is only one server user.

Alright, any of you guys who played this:
What's the best way of leveling in general? Just killing random shit?
Are the missions worth the time? I don't really fancy going back to the base HQ everytime I wanna pick one up.

Trying to make an hacker dude. I got 76 HCK but since my INT is still at 24, I can't equip most of the new shit.

missions is more of a tool thing, there is no story going on and you will redo them constantly

if you're a hacker, I advise to also focus on droning, once you get a decent amount of money, specifically around 120k ish, go buy yourself a speederbike or a hovertech, the best way to level like in most old mmos is to start killing shit near the military base (owned by the city mercs) hopefully you're not enemies with them so check your faction relation, when you get your drones made, put them to good use and just camp inside the bunker near MB, they will kill all the mutants outside, go to the terminal inside the bunker and accept the hardest mission possible which is the quick ones, try to find a mission that kills launcher cyclops and just watch your drones fuck their shit up, once you completed your mission, go back to terminal and redo them.

also for the vehicle part, make sure you have 20 on VHC - which can be found on the dexterity branch, and to get to the wasteland, take the subway and stop on the outzone, go to the subterranean section of the subway, there should be a yellow advertisement for the pawnshop called "Yo!" keep on going until you find a big ass door, that door is essentially the entrance and exit to the wasteland, once you're outside find the vehicle station, it should be pretty obvious, and spawn your vehicle there, then check the map so you can find your way to the Military base, make sure to avoid killerbots, those things can 1 hit kill you, and of course enemy factions, a friend of mine while ingame got butchered by tech haven on his way to MB, so be very careful and don't run too fast otherwise the missiles will get ya.

no.

Vehicles and proper drones (since the lower level ones are shit) are a fuckton of money for me yet.
I'll get there though.
I heard droning is boring as shit though.

To add to this:
I'm currently hunting shit on the sewers and other dungeons inside the city.
The problem I have with this is that I can only find two types of enemies:
Gives nearly no XP
Gives lots of XP but takes ages to kill.
Says I'm rank 9 now, so I think I shouldn't be farming either of these since the XP/time I'm getting is minimal and there might be better ways to level up.

One thing I haven't decided yet:
How much Research/Constuction/Implant do you actually need?
I got a monk too, plan on putting 100 RES, 100 CST and 98 Implant.
But I'm worried that's gonna fuck me over.
With buffs and implants, I can get 150 CST and 120 RES. Do I need more than that for the endgame stuff?

researcher is different then construction, this is why a lot of people use mains for this, you either focus on construction or focus on research, those are two entirely different entities that cannot be focused on one character.

Second, implant as well, a different focus point.

the thing about the implants has to do with the level of the prosthetic shit you're adding, if for example a heart is V.1.0 chances are, at 30 on implant you can probably attach that on to someone, if the heart is V.3.0, you'll likely need a higher level to put that on to someone, so it will be blured out with a red filter, it really depends on the tech level.

and back to construction and research, they both work the same way, I can make blueprints for techlevel 70 weapons, but the blueprint is shit because my research is 75, but its still possible, construction same way, you can construct a weapon tech level 70 if you're a 70 on construction, the problem is the quality or outcome, you'll probably need twice than that value to have an "outstanding" quality which is the best quality for a weapon on this game.

WHAT
BP's have quality too?
I thought it was just CST that influenced that.
Explain why I'm carfting shit with 86% damage and whatnot.

that I can't tell you, but my blueprint said "30tl" which I assume needs to be greater.

aside from that, with just a recent experiment I made, I think it does barely any difference, it might increase chances of giving your items slots so you can add mods in your guns and shit. thats pretty much it I guess.

Ah, well. Shit then.
I'm still gonna roll with 100CST/100RES for now.
I don't like depending on other folks.
When I get to endgame stuff, I might LOM one into another. It takes what, 2 batches of pills and that's 4k at most.

What's the deal with stockx in the terminals? It just appears empty for me but the info button suggests that there should be stuff listed there

just do what all the nerds are doing, they made an alt account, one focused on research and the other on construction, so you open up 2 clients and you can probably power level both of them at the same time, whenever I ask for an upgrade on the server, they have 2 of their accounts online to make me a weapon, thats how it came down to because of lack of population so they decided to do that alternative.

probably because its a failed mechanic that was closed.

I can't confirm this rumor but user ingame told me that when this shit was on, people would beef up the stocks and fuck with everyone, the prices for every store would fucking explode and everyone would go batshit crazy because they couldn't afford anything, it would be an interesting thing to bring back though. i'm not sure if thats how it worked but yeah.

Is this up-to-date?
github.com/thn/nskill-items-data

it can probably work.

REZ FROM YOUR CYBERTOMB

So anyway, does Holla Forums have it's own Clan ingame?
If there are enough of us, we could probably start one, even if just for the standard clan shit and not to cap things in the wastelands.

Aren't clans faction locked so we'd need to switch over to one faction to properly use it?

Dunno, but even if they were, I'm sure we could all pick a cool faction and have one of the 4 characters you can have in it.

I mean, there's not much else to choose between Black Dragon, City Merchs, Fallen Angels, Biotech or Chran.

I looked up the clan reqs at the wiki and it seems they are actually locked to a faction and you need to have good enough rep with your faction of choice to be able to access the faction supply manager and purchase a clan apartment key (also, you need to have your law enforcer implant off to be able to get in a clan or make one)
wiki.techhaven.org/Clan

getting on a faction's good side isn't hard.

MB zone is fairly grindworthy for faction points.

Well, you're gonna take your implant off anyway once you hit rank 30 due to the XP/NC penalty and PvP.

Is that what people do? I assumed you just did Very Easy recycling jobs since you can usually find what they ask in the Supply Shop too and complete it in 15 seconds, spamming point that way.

thats right and you're not wrong either, they grind MISSIONS on very hard AT the MB zone.

Hello, potential Neocronians. I'm here to answer questions. lay em on me.

did they remove the fuck ups of neocron 2 on the new updates made by the community devs?

I'm not entirely sure. Could you be more specific?

See

Could someone explain these what these checkboxes do exactly?

Game looks rad, gonna try it out.

cast shadow is pretty obvious

big shot lights, i'm not so sure, probably used on flashlights?

environment map is a special texture used to give more details on a model, don't remember exactly what it does but a quick google search will show.

dynamic NPC light is probably the glow designs on one of the npc's armors and shit.

Does PvE ever get hard? Most enemies dont even hit me..

What was the StockX and how did it screw over players? I heard it was a failed mechanic that was heavily exploited and had to be removed, but why and how?
Did it affect the price in corp shops?
Or was it just standard MMO auction house fuckery?

Is there a directory or some way to search\offer services to other players? Or do you gotta use HELP channel all the time anyway.

Why does everyone converge on Plaza 1 instead of a cool disco in Pepper Park, or at least a neat restaurant somewhere?

try going to industrial and killing npcs. some are bosses

if not, try killing something on the wasteland.

bump

Stockx I'll have to ask about, but people just use help chat for everything from WTB to discussing electronic old men. as for p1, people congregate there becuase its close to everything a crafter needs as well as meds and ammo. I used to get hammered and go to the strip joint in PP, but not so much after one guy figured out I liked to do it and kept tryna kill me.

Anyone else unable to connect?

disregard that I suck cocks.

twitter.com/OfficialNeocron/status/788666379004182528

Server's alive now

Once I finish my epic mission for cityadmin I'll make a clan. It'll be called MJ12 and lead by me, Bob Page.

How the hell do I download this game when my niggernet tells me it'll take 24 hours to download and then stops midway?
Everything else I download has regular speeds.

Looks interesting, downloadan now

There's an OOC channel and a few others, I find it weird that the HELP channel is the BANTER channel, but whatever.

Do admins care about people logging with multiple accounts? I've made a new one to level a bunch of const\rez dudes and have it run on my laptop by my side so I can help people and myself when needed.

This is the best advice anyone can possibly give.
I have a Genetank in the Military Base and I got sick of killing beetles, Sentinels and robotic mutts.
So I went outside punching Launcher Cyclops in the face and got a lot of STR and DEX in no time, now I'm shooting laser cannons at them.

Can't wait to get an helicopter or some other flying vehicle so I can rain death from above and engage in top secret military operations around the world.

Yeah multiboxing is against the rules

erer

Alright, fuck it. I'll go all in. Rigger sounds interesting; is every class viable?

I want to try this, I have wanted to try this game since there were last threads about it here and on /cyber/. But I have never played an mmo before, it seems really complicated and there is really no reason to play it if we are not all in the same guild/faction/clan ect. If you guys could figure these things out I would love to come join you it seems neat as fuck to be honest. I could of swore that the old threads had decided on a guild/faction/clan ect.
Are you allowed to have multiple accounts that you switch between? Cause I wouldn't mind having an alt account to craft/help people and shit if you can have multiple accounts?

I had done that whole clan thing a while back for Black Dragon, but I was pretty sure somebody also had a Crahn clan settled too. Might've just been a low number of people on average, but I was pretty damn sure everybody else took on Crahn.

You can make multiple characters, and as long as you join the server when its more than 1% full 100% chance people will help you get started and tell you everything you could want to know

Shame. I kinda get the impression that the best way to play NeoCron (or any cyberpunk game) is to have a Runner and a Citizen at the same time, so you can switch between them as needed.
Citizen to manage your resources and economy as well as talk with other people and be helpfull to your community, Runner to do all the combat, exploring and evil shit.

Some are more viable than others but there are always patches fixing the balance.

Rigger has a small issue that you need to be very carefull: the first few drones in the vendors are broken as fuck, they do no damage whatsoever.
I've heard you can solve it with 5 points in High Tech Combat, I've heard it's because of balance reasons, I dunno.

Point is, you're better off shanking rats until you have stats (and money) for the next drones, especially the AoE ones.
Dunno just how many are broken like this, but it's not many.

Stick with the prod, prod with the prod.

I am pretty interested in this game, but I am not sure I was clear enough in my post: I really have no desire to play this game unless I am playing with you guys.
So maybe this can be the beginning of a dialog on which guild/faction/clan ect. we can all agree to join? From just skimming the thread it seems that the different guilds/factions/clans ect. are asymmetrical with different benefits, what exactly are those? Which would benefit us as a group?

Technycally, Factions differ based on:
The first is fairly simple. There's four factions in Dome of York, another four in Neocron (the city) and two in the wastes (City Merchs and Fallen Angels).
I have no preference either way, but Fallen Angels are pretty cool.
For the Epic rewards, most people use one of the 4 slots you can make characters with to make a character in another faction.
Then they farm sympathy and start that mission there. At the end, they'll trasnfer the reward to wathever char you want. These items are not researchable, and so they're not craftable either.
Database items are a bit diferent. Each faction has some end-game tier shit store in their database. You can get them from your own faction rather easily (just goe to cyberspace and acess your own faction, right there for the taking).
To take stuff from other factions, we'd need a dedicated hacker, since you gotta farm 6 SPINEBREAKER code pieces to make a non-reusable SPINEBREAKER. You spend one of those for each blueprint you "steal".
Even then, you still need a "permit" from that faction, so… yeah, make another char and join that faction.
I have no idea what the point of SPINEBREAKERS are, since you still need that faction to like you and sell you the authorization. Maybe someone oughta tell that to the devs.
Best use for hacking is still getting a SPINEBREAKER 7 or some shit, and fight the boss of Cyberpsace. The SB 7 is used there to steal shit from a database there, and I think that one doesn't need authorization.
In any case, if people want to pick a Clan based on this things:
WIKI
wiki.techhaven.org
ITEM DATABASE
db.techhaven.org/en
Go throught that, and pick wathever you guys would like.
To be honest, everything is good so to me, it's more of an aesthetic and roleplaying experience.

Oh and, Clans don't really visit their faction much anyway. It's more about conquering Outposts in the wasteland, those give us massive benefits, especially for tradeskillers (buffs on construction/research skills, VERY cheap materials to buy).

The wiki page for construction claims the construction licenses can be traded, so I guess it's possible to buy them from other players too
Also, some dude's already planning to start a cityadmin clan ( )
However, until he delivers our faction's still undecided

BOMBS?

So do we have some clan or place to hang out?

I guess we could try setting up a team while there's no clan up

Its dead.

You basically just spend your post more or less saying that it doesnt matter what guild/faction/clan ect. you are in cause you can get any of the end game items. So I looked at the links and I cant seem to find what the apparel of each group is, cause if you can get whatever you want through other needs then we should just pick the coolest looking dudes right? I cant find what they look like so a little help?

Nothing is faction exclusive, except the apartments and HQs. Armors, weapons, implants and bones are all tradeable. Also character customization is not limited by your faction either.

Okay first question which factions hq and apartments look the coolest? Second question character customization may not be faction but what about character creation? Like robots or some shit is that limited by guild or JUST apartments and hq?

ash-ridley.net/neocron/

This shows off, I think, all the apartments.

The coolest is a matter of taste. If you wanna be a cyber punk I'd recommend tsunami or black dragon, since they start in pepper park which is the red light district. as for your second question….what the fuck are you talking about?

Information overload to be honest. Anything is fine.

You have never seen a game that locks down a certain character style down under a guild a robot only faction or something like for example wildstar? Thats what I am asking, is that in this game? Can you be a robot?

threads dead, game, not so much.

grinding's a bitch.

No you can't be a robot. Also I think its important to mention your characters appearance does not change unless you put on power armor.

During character creation, some classes have hair styles resembling implanted electronics, but it goes no farther than that.

The game however has actual implants that essentially turn you into a cyborg. Though, if what you're looking for is a graphical change, it does not do that as far as I've seen.

Maybe we could take up one of these chat channels that are never used, like team recruit channel - level 10

Is there any way of escaping being stuck in a "synchronizing" state other than logging in and out a bunch of times?

its an issue of the new update, this happens when you load a new area sometimes, so the best way is to just hit ESC and relog.
