First smear the glass with honey, then fog it with a smouldering hickory chip. It probably takes around 5 min to get a good coating on. Then add the lemon and whisky.
In hindsight, I should have frozen the glass after smearing the honey on, that might have helped the smoke condense. It was pretty subtle, but there. Mostly you just got a nice whiff of it when drinking. Definitely a drink for when you've got company over and are willing to put in the effort.

The trick here was to soak chili flakes in rum for about 1/2 hour prior (small jar in the bottom right). One dash of that and the drink was mildly hot. It was good, but I'm not a big fan of spicy drinks, especially not long ones.

This is based on a recipe from my friend, which is in turn based on my favourite drink, the kamikaze.
It's pretty damn good. Imagine a spiced kamikaze. It's got the spice from the Jaggermeister, and a bit of a coarse kick from the sake. Also yuzu is a refreshing flavour. Much like the kamikaze, this drink is a one way trip, since you can just keep drinking it all day.
