Actually, that's 6/11 of the tier 5 grapplers, so it seems a bit odd to consider them as exceptions to grapplers being shit.

Yeah casters are cool and all but do they have a space ship equivalent of the kick from dark messiah of might and magic? I think not.

but in all honesty you wouldn't think an a5 ring raider would be the single most capable healing/shielding support ship until you build it purely for that
if only there were other real players to support

Gravector beam seems like one hell of a kick.
You can use other impulse abilities at the same time to launch an enemy even further.

Actually, the single most capable support ship is C5A Legacy.
You can have two shields and two healing drones that follow you, and alternate between having two and four clones that have their own shields and drones.
On top of this incredible support power, the firepower makes A5 Ring Raider look like a peashooter.

R5AC Atamal comes close though now that I think about it.

It has the disadvantage that it's limited to its own deployables, it can't clone; and that in turn limits the agility of it as a support ship since it either has to carefully navigate so no drones catch on obstacles, or it has to keep on redeploying everything.

However it has the advantage that it's not limited to just a couple shield drones and a couple of healers, you can also have stealth and decoy beacons; I think R5AC Atamal is the only Rogue which has a Heavy Weapons Bay, which means the ability to camouflage a group on the move is unique to it.

Also, since it's a Rogue, it can heal everything nearby when healed, which means that although it's not the insane powerhouse that is C5A Legacy, it gets a lot more support power out of what it has.
