Not as grindy as 3 & 4. PM3 was essentially 2 with updated graphics and new stuff to do while keeping the base game, while PM4 had the new art designs. PM5 was a total revamp as they moved the setting from a high-fantasy western medieval world to modern-day urban fantasy. It actually has less options and features than its predecessor, but since it's a fictional present-day world with magic, it assumes preset complications that come with such a world that we are more familiar with.

I actually find it odd that they didn't localize PM5 since hypothetically it should be easier due to familiarity. Could be the Chinese license holders are preventing an English version from getting made?

PM2 is essentially abandonware, after all, not to mention iconic.

So I've skipped the first princess maker but I've played the ever living fuck out of two. Should I go ahead and just play some more of princess maker 2? Or should I also go ahead and hit princess maker up? The gameplay is breety damn similar from what I understand here.

Making her sick/disobedient and nursing her back to health or scolding her also raises your relationship.

Her stress will go down by the same amount as your relationship level (max 100) when you scold her (only when she is actually disobedient), so that's an easy way of finding out how much she likes you. She'll also buy you birthday presents if she likes you enough.
