The 1970's was perhaps the last golden age of music. Rap was non exsistant, bands like Led Zeppelin, Eagles and Pink Floyd were on top as well as hits from artists such as Paul McCartney, Steely Dan and so many others. Compare Edgar Winter Group's "Frankenstein" to literally any instrumental from today. The 1970's was a time where h'white music was on top and that all began to crumble in the early 1980's. We all know what happens to the quality of something once h'white people are replaced and music is no different.

The most depressing part about listening to the radio today is how you notice that pretty much every song coming out now as the same monotonous base line and beat throughout the whole song. To say nothing of the same chorus over and over again. You listen to something 30-40 years ago and the base line and beat changes throughout the song and there are actual verses throughout the performance.
