Games that let you play as Undead/Skeletons/Necromancers

ITT: Post Good Undead Vidya

I'm in the mood to play as a skeleton bonerlord, so tell me the best games that include this as an option

There's a Castlevania fangame that lets you play as the original skelly.
But it's really hard, and the fighting game controls take some time getting used to.

I know this might sound weird, but playing as Bones in Quake 3 is funny as hell, conceptually.

Like i've always imagined this asshole skeleton jumping around at 500km/h shooting rockets up your ass while in mid air with Spooky Scary Skeletons blasting in his non existant ears 24/7.

what's it called?

Hello fellow peaceful skeletons.

Might and Magic 7/8 has a liche as the final upgrade for magic users

Age of Wonders.

MedEvil and MediEvil 2.

DonĀ“t forget the "Regeneration" trait.

Warlords battlecry (I only played 3 so I can't speak for the rest)
Dungeon Keeper has neato skeletons raised from the corpses of prisoners that starve in your dungeon.
Deadbolt has you play as a skeleton hitman. In the later levels you also kill skeletons.
Dominions 4 lets you raise unlimited skellingtons. Bonus points because you can be a a regular lich or just a skull atop pile of bones with tremendous necromantic power (you could also be something else but who cares)
I guess I should mention the necromancer class in Diablo 2 but everyone's played it.

There is a serious lack of games where you can be a full on bonerlord. Dominions is close to being perfect for that but it's not a main focus.

He had a smaller hitbox if I remember right.

I wanna be a necromancer Holla Forums

That game Nekro is about as close as it gets, and that game is early-access-NEVEREVER garbage. Are there any other games that let me control the undead hordes/have ghosts do my bidding?

Give us a genre then

Dwarf Fortress lets you become a necromancer

Only thing I can think of is Diablo 2 with its Necromancer character.
Or I guess Warcraft 3 but you're playing as the leader of an entire undead horde.

Maybe it was Circle of the Moon's skeleton transformation combo?
I think it was with the pluto+black dog cards

If you don't care to much about graphics there's a good roguelike/rpg ToME
Necromancer is really well done in that, you kill people and store their souls to fuel your horde, you can summon skeletons and undead of every type, you can meld skeletons into each other to a create bone giant.
Also if you die(will happen a lot) you get an extra life if you're specced right, you can return as a lich and unlock the true mysteries of death.

Good taste. There's even a skeleton race you can play as who get bonuses from necromancy, as do all races that are considered undead. But you can't come back as a lich for obvious reasons.

No Disciples II. What shitty thread is this?

A better vid with no commentary.

that looks pretty fun

I'm working on unlocking these classes and races in ToME but I suck so bad I die way early before I can unlock shit.

Any tips? I've been looking up specific class guides that basically tell you what abilities to specc into but it seems a little cheesy that way.

Player Berserker and focus entirely on putting in points into regeneration, bloodlust and the other ability

It literally makes you Khornate as fuck, and it gets even better when you add regeneration infusions and wild fusions to the mix, which for some reason aren't classed as bad by the anit-mage guys, Which is even better, because when you betray escorts to them, they offer you an abiltiy called natures touch which heals you.

So yeah, 3 healing abilities and all the benefits of berserk, literally, put points into strength primarily and constitution secondarily and you'll be unstoppable, and even more so when you've finally coem around and join the anti-mages to get more levels in nature abilities, making you full-blown Khorne, and using that power to kill every fucking spellcasting shit the game has to offer.

Code Of Princess.

I was literally just playing a berserker, I got pretty far but I died at level 15 to those tornado things that invade Derth.

It just seems like there's a lot of abilities that are pretty useless. And now that I've fucked up my berserker I'm not in the mood to do it all over again.

Guild Wars has a pretty dank Necromancer, similar to Diablo 2's.

Where do I start?

aow2.

aow3 if you want a dumbed down necro with better graphics

Fuck that, Aow2 it is.

I tried 2 but the necro experience was better with 1 for me. Maybe I should try it again.

Now I have to download one

It's pretty fun

JUST

This is too good to be happening.

wasted on a thumbnail

Do undead factions of RTSs count?
Heroes of annihilated empires has a pretty fun undead faction. It also feels like the most developed one

...

Source?

O-ok

Arcanum.

Couldn't you just break whatever temple was in that city and make a new one to Order instead?
Sounds easier than rebuilding the entire town.

Also, that's why you never worship Order, that guy is a cunt. Go for Chaos and all his quests involve hunting down someone or going to battle so you get rewards while getting rewards.

Or go with Magic, he's a cool dude that gives spells and mana so you can cast more magic while you cast magic.

Can't play as a skelly in Arcanum by the way.

It was Castlevania Fighter, by Serio.

Got over it, found something worse.
>MFW I was playing on beginner
Dat artificial difficulty tho
