Also, Ive picked up like 5 different books on Goebbels including 2 sections of his diaries, I havent nearly read all of them, but what I can tell is that Ralf Georg Reuths book (which was translated into English from German IIRC) seems to be the best and most comprehensive account, while also being much more reasonable in its wording. Accounts like Viktor Reimann's are so hard to read because its just stuffed full of garbage bias insults, and pointless remarks. He cant make a single statement about the early party numbers without suggesting they were a complete joke and making a bunch of commie attacks on them. Reuths is fun to read, and full of actual information and quotes. Hes an important person to know about.

The pic related you posted along with the misquote you pointed out (which I think is still similar to whats being said and a real quote) are used by a lot of people who try to suggest that NatSoc is a purely individualist ideology, and not socialist or collectivist in any way. Its a mix. Its a middle ground between capitalism and communism in a lot of ways. They preserve a lot of capitalistic aspects, but you still find Goebbels setting the price of potatoes in his diaries in 42, and thats obviously a regulated market.

Actually the misquote does the opposite, but its still inaccurate because it makes it sound like its just pure marxist socialism, no free enterprise and competition and profits and private property etc. It had all those things in reality. One thing Goebbels really didnt like was stock market capitalism for example. Thats not a part of National Socialism.
