I honestly am skeptical of the effectiveness of such marketing. I think it's probably something of a myth that marketers still cling to. I love how hard she overplayed her part. At the end it was just straight awkward silence from the crowd… and man does Resident Evil 7 look bad. Those are the most unthreatening enemies in a horror game I think I've ever seen. Nothing about the game is even remotely scary.

I can't tell if the audience stayed silent because of her performance(she flinched when the cutscenes was throwing things at her for goodness sake), or how bad the game looked.
