After following this since Monday, this is what I think happened:

Las Vegas was planned to be something much bigger, and we know this because it was planned by our own intelligence agencies to arrest the conspirators. I'm guessing the plan was to carry out a mass shooting, along with bombings in different areas using the Tannerite and Ammonium Nitrate. To set all of this up, the FBI had Stephen Paddock act as the procurer; with the meet scheduled in Room 32135. Once the transfer of weaponry and tannerite was completed; the FBI would arrest the conspirators as they readied to carry out the attack. To make the charges stick, it wouldn't be possible to arrest them with possession of legal items (Tannerite, and Semi-Automatic Weapons with legal Bump Fire Stocks). So they needed to catch them "in the act."
Where things went wrong, is when ISIS called an audible. In the hotel room, they killed Stephen Paddock, carried out the mass shooting, made their escape to the Four Seasons and were exfiltrated via Helicopter.

it multiprocesses the file, 1 process does one half the other does the other half, and then merges the two files together.

vp9 has shit multiprocessing, not going to get 4 cores going unless your doing 720p-1080p, at which point it's so slow it's unusable anyway. This should get 2 cores going at a minimum, and it still runs 2 ffmpeg processes with 2 threads, so it might go up to 4. It's at least a 2x speed increase.

It'll probably work on windows at some point, but to get this working your going to need linux and your going to need vaapi installed, script still uses vaapi for decode and scaling. eventually i'll code it to turn it on and off but i haven't yet, this is still something i'm tweaking on. there's no reason this can't be scaled up to 4,8,16 cores, splitting the file 4,8,16 times, etc. i don't know why ffmpeg doesn't do this by default. there's more shit than vp9 in the source because it's a work in progress and i'm going to make it more generic with more codecs in the future. there isn't any reason to multiprocess any other codecs, h264 will already take advantage of all cores.

The news also states, live, that the Bellagio had been effected and there was one confirmed death.

Now… skip ahead about an hour. The news is no longer stating anything about the other hotels affected. They say it is one person. Every bit of info that was being initially given to us was disappearing. We could physically see from our window view, fire alarms going off at the cosmopolitan, and multiple cop cars and ambulances pulling up there as well. We wanted more information about what was happening at these other hotels right next to us, and we weren't getting it. And we still aren't.

Monday morning I am of course telling my friends and family about our experience, and I was starting to really feel like I was crazy. Everyone was telling me there was only one shooter, and I just couldn't understand what I had seen. Finally, other people like myself started speaking out. I was relieved to know that I wasn't crazy, but now just as confused as to why the media is trying to hide this information. There are now videos and statements popping up all over the web, showing proof of other shooters and other effected hotels.

Why are they trying to hide this?! If for no other reason, think about being a family member of the others who died or were injured at these other hotels. They deserve the respect, and the truth as to what happened to their loved ones.

Now, can we please stop talking about Gun Control for just a few minutes, and figure out what is really going on here? Figure out the real motive of this incident, and inform people of the truth. Laws can be put in place for anything and everything. There will always be people who break them.
