Holla Forums has been bleeding out for over a year and one could argue since dysnomia took over as the BO. Endless pedo "purges" which normally last a week, two weeks max that achieved nothing but driving more users away. There was never a collapse because Holla Forums was terrible but it was fun. There's no way to really decide this, but BO could try what they did on Holla Forums regarding enforced anonymous. Simply enable the measure and see if it improves or lowers user happiness. When they removed namefags, the only people that cried where the 4am IRC circlejerk, while the majority of the userbase was either unaffected or better off.

Why not try my idea of containing /a/, Holla Forums, waifus/e-celebs to a single thread for a week or two? If it stops rampant shitposting and derailing other threads, then keep/adjust it.

At the start, it was a place where people posted their waifus, real women of course, not anime girls. The board owner took in one of the core members as a vol, and then they were handling the board together. The owner was like "I'm open towards people, as long as they ar enot trying to aggressively push me, my vol or the others around". The vol was into very young girls.
