Buy cheap generic wireless mouse

Since "gaming" mice is actually just a meme, and they don't make you any better at games, does anyone here use a standard wireless mouse that's comfy and they would recommend? I don't need anything fancy, just needs to have forward and back buttons.

This is bait, right?
This has to be bait.

Eww

Can't you read?

It's not 2005 any more, grandpa.

Impressive.

Why would you need small movements just to shitpost on Holla Forums?

Unless you've got some weird setup where there's no USB ports within a reasonable distance, there's no reason to not just buy some cheap, wired mouse that's going to be infinitely more responsive than expensive, wireless mice.

Gaming mice and their "accuracy" is a scam.
The only reason you should get one is for more buttons.

videogames

Yes, it is.

5-10 years ago your average shit mouse would be a literal hell compared to your high quality "gaming" mouse. Now you can buy a 30 dollar Chinese mouse that is just as good as high end product unless you're in the top% of players in which top equipment really does matter.

I agree. I just need something with forward and back buttons.

shit. Have fun with drivers and batteries

A gaming mouse is almost always ergonomic, making its use extremely comfy even at very long periods of time. Another thing are additional buttons, especially one for changing mouse sensitivity. The rest is just memes, but ergonomic design and additional buttons set it high above the $5 mice you find in the dicount bin.

I use that mouse at work, there's noticeable lag. Get a wired mouse if you plan on playing serious fps's like quake. Don't spend a lot of money on gimmicks.

...

Ergonomics is the Gluten Free chicken of the computer mouse world.

Mouse? How quaint.

???

My nigga.

...

what?

Damn, I want a trackball. how's gaming on one?

It's a moot point.

Fucking great. I've used one for over 2 years and I say it's pretty comfortable.

I haven't had one that didn't start to register clicks badly eventually. Good luck with all that.

Literally not working when trying to be precise isn't an "aside from." What's more, I don't know what specific mouse you're using, but I can guarantee that it'll probably freak out if you swipe too fast and it probably has a ridiculous amount of hardware acceleration.

These things might not mean anything to you, but that probably because you've a fucking casual.

It's actually the opposite. People used to be able to win tournaments with the $10 wmo. Now, the cheapest mouse you're going to find without hardware acceleration or prediction is going to be in the $40 range.

Still waiting to see someone actually win a tournament with one user.

It's an aside from when I've already said it's a piece of shit that I'm trying to replace. If it didn't have that problem it would be absolutely fine.

The real meme is "wireless". Only retards buy wireless mice, keyboards, or headphones.

...

Good argument OP. Just placed an order for 50 wireless mice.

I got a free mouse and keyboard set for when I'm in bed. It's nice to relax in bed while I'm playing something turn-based.

...

I just want a mouse that doesn't have the left click fuck up after 6 months. Anything do that?

My wireless jumps around sometimes. Happens when I play stalker, I will move it and noting happens for a second. I'm thinking of geting a wired one. I would have to stretch it across my livingroom though.

mine is 8 years old and still going strong

What brand?

The good one.

...

Enjoy dealing with the input being just enough to throw you off. And batteries.

In related news, got a Mionix Castor today.

...

you're able to fix the problem yourself if that happens, you just gotta bend the component that makes the clicking noise back into its shape. I did it to mine's when it was having that problem & it's still working great.

Mine is only 4 years old, but no complaints here.

Few people in the thread need to read this.

please use archive.is/gaming-mouse-myths-busted/

I used a Logitech M510 for a long time, the only problems I had with it are the rubbery bits on the sides get kinda gross after a while and if you smack them a bit too hard the battery contacts can snap off and render it useless. Went through two of them which each lasted three years or so and both were still working fine up until the contacts breaking off before I switched to whatever the wired version is called which seems borderline indestructible.

You won't get much help here OP. Everyone here fell for the wire meme.

May try that with my trackball, just had so little respect for the thing failing within a few weeks of use.

Why use a mouse when you can control the game with your keyboard?

It might be a >gaming mouse but I've had this thing for years and it's worked without a single complaint. Plus it's not a total ricer piece of shit, so that's something

muh zowie work good nycka 3 years now fam

lil pricy 60 bucks but iz smooth as eggs n neva had no problem w/ it

would never trade it in for anything.

Why stop there? Why play games on an operating system when you can play them in the BIOS?

It fucking should be.

Wireless is also a meme you dumb faggot. A good WIRED mouse with a good sensor are $50 nowadays, there's no excuse.

Yes, a big one exists. Play something very fast paced and depends on twitch reflexes, like Hotline Miami. Play that game to completion with a wireless mouse, then try it again with a wired mouse and you'll suddenly notice you're both going through the game faster and can take a shot faster and quicker than you normally did with a wireless one.

And this comes from someone who has previously used wireless peripherals for nearly three years before switching back to wired and I assure you I will never go back.

The only thing you need. Spoilerd for incest porn.

Wireless is definitely the devil though.

This is the dumbest fucking argument I've ever heard.

Why does a mouse even have to be wireless?
You exclusively use it on a table, no?
In such an environment, wireless doesn't have any advantage over a normal mouse, and instead you'll find yourself having to charge it / replace the batteries all the time anyway.

I'm using one of the old deathadder models as well.
I hate the way it looks and I've had to replace the switches it in at one point, but I haven't found a mouse that's more comfortable for me (and I've tried plenty of others), so I'm probably not going to replace it anytime soon.

He has a point. Wireless is pointless for anything other than portability/convenience when using a laptop. If you're gaming on a laptop, you're doing it wrong, for one thing. Secondly, wired mice have less input lag and don't constantly need to have the batteries changed . Wireless mice are also usually more expensive.

Basically, there are ZERO benefits.

The heavy switches took some getting used to but at least I know it won't start fucking doubleclicking or falling apart on me like the deathadder did because I was stupid enough to be convinced it was the only razer product that wasn't complete garbage. The only good thing I can say about it is it's the most comfortable mouse you will ever use if you have large hands.

Also wireless is inferior garbage OP, if you're gonna get a cheap piece of shit mouse at least make sure it actually picks up any of your movements.

I bought a zowie fk1, it performs and feels like the old intellimouse from when M$ made damn good products.

That's weirdly satisfying. Not boner inducing, just hypnotic.

...

I wish I could just find that awesome Microsoft mouse again…

I'm using an old acer pack-in that hasn't failed me once; sometimes I wish it had a few more buttons, but overall it's great, I can even do digital art with it to some extent.

I've been playing FPS's just as good as I ever have with my $30 wireless than I did with my $200. If wireless mice being shit isn't just a meme it's certainly not as big a deal as people make it out to be. The most I can give mice over standard mice over wireless is that you can buy a shitty one more easily if you're a retard and the wheels tend to be lower quality (something I haven't experienced yet) and that you don't get extra buttons which is fine for me because I don't play MMO's.

G700s, wireless when I want it, wired when I don't, programmable buttons, selective sensitivity, only $50, shit's great

Been thinking about one of those, since my intellimouse died I've been using a shitty stock Lenovo mouse that came with some workstation. Client didn't want the peripherals, so I snagged it.

Was it an Intellimouse? It was probably an Intellimouse.

They're good adapt to most grips.

The two downsides is that they're pricy and have the hardest click switches, older models of the FK (the ones that do 2300Dpi instead of 3200) also have shit coating that generally starts peeling off within a year or two, and have jitter at 1000hz polling rate.

I don't mind a hard click. I use a Unicomp keyboard (Model M clone).

I got this bad boy and It's lasted me like 4 years without any problems.

Got a 5 buck mouse that i use 7 years now

yo fam das utility gettin 7 years up outta holla u know cost effective n what not

My complaint about the Deathadder is the wheel axle is made of some weak shit plastic. I salvaged a wheel from a $3 mouse and it was better.

any one have the Holla Forums guide to mice?

are all PC gamers this impressed with poor product design?

I got one of these off of ebay used for half that. Took a gamble, but it came in the original box and was barely used at all. Love it so far.

Are you ignoring the rest of the thread?

It's a righthanded, Chinese iBOX wired laser mouse with five keys (two under the thumb) that is not produced anymore. One third of the black paint has been worn out from use, the wheel rotation is jumpy, but other than that, it works flawlessly.

*buttons

It's such a shame the thumbball available new is wireless

So how's that fixed sensitivity and mandatory training wheels treating you? I'm rather enjoying the ability to pick my own targets without having to fight a gravity well around every enemy on screen.

Been using this one for years. It's small but I got used to it. Surprisingly comfy as well.

Before that I was using a mouse since 2004 to 2011ish. It never even budged so I'm sad that my parents threw it out for a newer one.

I had a decent gaming mouse afterwards but it broke so I'm using this now.

Can you tell me what the english name of this would be or maybe a link to where I can acquire this in Canada because fuck man no one sells anything here

It's a Canyon CNR-FMSOW01. I got it for I think about 10 leva which is about 5 euros. Probably about 6 Canada bucks. Dirt cheap.

Well, the model names are slightly different but it's from that range, that is.

I actually have one of those but it can't keep up with my Razer 2013 sadly my Razer has lasted quite a while but I fear it may double click so I'll be back to that Intellimouse All mice here in Canuckistan are overpriced to hell, I can't even find headphones available outside Amazon and fuck credit cards. I paid 80$ for the razer and any recommended mice are the same price, including that one

This is great, I just keep buying one of those every year for 10$ when the previous one is too used.

Well I'll have to look around for it. It's another product limited to not my country because fuck Canada like usual.

I have a second mouse around somewhere that I got in with my current keyboard as well. People like to shit on China but this is a pretty neat keyboard. The keyboard and mouse set was about the same price as my current mouse as well.

I use this.
Fite me.

How much is a G100s

I use the HP X7500 because it's the one I've found with a mould closest to my all time greatest mouse; the Logitech MX1100. Which goes for way too much money these days online.

the HP one uses bluetooth instead and lacks a button or two, but the comfort level is about the same and decent for a cheap mouse.

60$, 50$ and a few used ones apparently. Though I'm going off Newegg prices so it could be roughly 50$ or so from other sites.

Wow you're really getting fucked.

I spent 76$ on my Razer and it's lasted me three years so far so I'm not really regretting it, as for keyboards I just go to the thrift shop and look for something decent not too big or bulky or has a useless amount of buttons on it. Keyboards are dime a dozen just find one that fits your desk or you find comfortable.

I've seen some crazy cheap keyboards and mice. There's a PC part shop nearby as well. The only problem is that GPUs and CPUs are expensive as hell. It's sometimes cheaper to buy a laptop than a computer, weird reality.

Welcome to Canada!
Only reason to live here is healthcare otherwise you're better off living out in the woods as it's cheaper at least when you're in shape and under forty

I got an electronics recycling container nearby my house that I scrounge for scraps when I feel like it. I found a fully functioning with no GPU computer tower with an i3, 8 GB ram in single channel, Asus mobo and a 1 TB HDD. I suppose I got lucky but I let my Dad use it so he can stop whining about having nothing to do/watch.

i dont buy the cheap cheap mice anymore because they only have 3 buttons

my last one got the wire cut and still worked for years with just a lazy fixing job

There's no perceivable lag in modern wireless mice unless you're among the top 10 quake players

got that more than 10 years.

Had the left clic registers doubles multiple times, bent back the omron switch a bunch of times.

Finally got tired of it, found a deal for a roccat kone pure military, best roccat sensor, very small, lightweight. Bought it thinking I would return it if I didn't like it.

I wont return it. It's perfect for finger-grip, which I do on almost all mice because of my unaturally long hands, but at least this one doesnt have a bulge randomly coming against my palm.

Also the surface is velvet-y, it's comfy

wrong. this shows that you know nothing about sensors, and in turn, like to present your opinion as fact on subjects that you do not fully understand. this leads me to believe that you are around the age of 14-19. if not physically, then mentally.

you're also probably young, because people who have been using mice for a while recognize these things. if you're not young, then you're slow.

_

I have a link to a list of superior sensors and mice, that describes why they are better. I won't give it to you. if you think there's no difference between a cheap sensor and a good sensor, then you're probably the perfect product of the western prussian-styled schooling system, and therefor, are intellectually irrelevant to me.

friend buys wireless mouse & keyboard
and this fucking goy idiot uses it only at desk anyway

You are fucking idiot who uses LCD screen (that has 50ms total lag). So for you it's no difference anyway.

How can you buy mouse online if you won't test in your hand, how it fits it?

What are some recommended mic for people with big hands? I need a new mouse cause I'm stick with this tiny Sony Vaio one that's made for ants

This is the mice equivalent of "The human eye can't see past 30 fps".

displaylag.com/display-database/

i dont like wireless mice. i dont really like wireless anything but if im going to be sitting down at a computer anyways why the hell would i need it to be wireless?

oh wow, this thread really is 2005

Sensors have essentially peaked in reaction time and the differences are so negligible it's laughable. If you're spending over $100 for a mouse specifically for better delay then you're wasting your money. You're better off tinkering with your settings for free.

G500s reporting. It's bretty gud.

All the mice I ever had were cheap.

My current one is a Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury, which costs about 40$, and I only got it because it has 8 programmable buttons, which is all I ever want from a mice.

im sure theyre not terrible, i just dont like the idea of wireless.
one day youre playing games and an emp weapon from china is going to fuck up your wireless mouse then what?

Love this mouse, sell it at work, but my hands are fucking huge and even with a clawgrip I can't hold it.

consider suicide

G502 master race here and comfy as fuck.

I just use a $5 wired mouse I got from Walmart and it works great.

There are a lot of memes when it comes to mice, like higher DPI = Better and laser sensor being better. Which are both wrong.
But you definitely need a sensor that at least has no snapping, innacuracy, or hard-acceleration.

Also, here is my mouse.
It has adjustable lift-off distance, which is probably my favorite feature.

I have the same one, they're great. Batteries last a good 9 months too.

This, it's even easier if you know how to solder.

Logitech uses cheap as fuck microswitches for the clickers, if you can replace or repair those then the goddamn thing will last forever.

If you can find this thing on sale, it's a damn good mouse. Three side buttons, DPI adjustment on the fly, weights inside, good shape, and IT SPINS.

I do it so I don't have to worry about batteries or charging.

Lurk less on image boards. It fucks up mouses within no time.

How exactly do you use it in games?
Precise and fine movement?

G303 here
the G502 was way too heavy and gimmicky

I have it, and I can confirm it's great. Only problem I have is that the button to change from super spin mode to tick mode on the mouse wheel is right next to the button to change sensitivity, so I often hit the wrong one.

M705 for laptop since 2014.
M500 for home pc since… 2006 or 2007? Whenever Vista was all the rage.

How do you flick?

Wait, I appear to be full of shit, since M500 had only been released in 2013.

Seriously, don't buy wireless mouses or even a generic wired mouse.

Then again, I can't say much when I'm using a Razer Deathstalker on my Umaru mousepad.
The Umaru mousepad being something my younger brother bought me as a joke.

...

I'm sure the emp will fry more than your mouse, user.

...

...

so from which part of your asshole did you pull that number from?

cunt

mice
your friend's full of shit, I've had this mouse for 2 years and only had to change the batteries once and that I can't remember vividly.

Sounds like it's a bit out of optimal range, or the batteries are shitty. Does it help when it's closer?

you dont have to make fun of my wireless testicles

Kill yourself.

G402 reporting in.

wow, did you pay 6 dollars or something plus the $48 in shipping you stupid cuck?
i bought a wireless hp from kmart for around $16 and it works fine.

IT'S THE CURRENT YEAR

wireless is just as much a meme as gaming mouses.

you can also overclock the polling rate of almost any wired mouse while you can't on almost any wired mouse

Microsoft mouses in general are really good, they're the people who spread the concept. You probably mean an intellimouse
Personally i'll stick to my trusty logitech g400, but if you want cheap and just fine performance/good quality try something like a logitech m105 which can be found for 5$

fuck i'm retarded, while you can't on almost any wireless mouse*

what's that one called? i remember most of razer being shit but that one being actually good

G502 here too. I love the scrolling wheel and most of its button placement. I just wish it was bigger though, I have fairly big hands.

It almost makes me forget my old Deathadder.

That's the Naga. It's only good if you play a lot of MMO or Assfaggots. Deathadder beats it in everything else.

That's because it's rather well made, despite the absolutely degenerate content.

...

...

I have a wired deathadder that works great. Sometimes I get doubleclicking, but that gets fixed after I update drivers.

As for wireless, I love the logitech M510.

I find myself occasionally hitting the "sniper mode" button by accident, which I've set to music player's play/pause. Needless to say, it startles or confuses me.

I use a cheap wireless I brought from ASDA in the UK, it probably takes 5 batteries a year, maybe more. It hasn't broken on me and my hand has molded to fit it, so it feels snug. It is a bit small though.

I wish I had brought an optical mouse rather than a laser mouse but I didn't know just how big a difference it made before I brougth this one.

Aside from costing 100 times the money to power than a normal mouse, I really don't have any complaints about it. My wireless is more convinent for me, personally.

link me faggot

humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime

Just unbind dpi switcher?

Fite me, faggot.

you can't beat my cat reflexes bitch

Zowies are great.
I find the hard click to be a good thing, you get used to it quite quickly and get to rest your fingers on the buttons themselves.

The biggest problem I have with the clicking is that I keep clicking accidentally when using anyone else's mouse, being used to requiring more pressure.

That, and the AM's mouse wheel is some kind of optical fuckness that needs cleaning a little more often than I'd like, and the screws are underneath the large skids. So after I opened the thing up, I just left the screws undone. The case is sturdy enough to stick together without them. Came with a second set of teflon feet, so that's good.

Mild complaints compared to the upsides and the downsides of most other mice I've used.

I always get a mouse with extra buttons because in some games it's convenient to map certain actions to the extra mice buttons, but every time I buy a mouse with
extra buttons, it fucking dies really fast. I feel like I should just build a fucking mouse from scratch with parts that aren't going to shit on me after a year.

I'm the boss of this thread.

You're a fucking retard.

Fucking love you Holla Forums

generic wireless stuff works fine unless you need something fancy

check em

...

youre pretty fast for a girl

I got lucky with this once and got under 10ms.
Obviously I just misclicked at the same time it happened to start, I'm not a superhero or something.

thats the only way i could ever beat samurai kirby

Gaming mice are not a meme - overpriced gaming mice are a meme.

If you care at all about gitting gud at videogames, you're gonna need a good mouse with a large mousepad and small sensitivity.

If you don't feel the need for a good mouse when you play videogames, you're a casual and aren't playing competitive videogames on a level anywhere close to where you could even consider yourself to be qualified to judge whether or not a mouse is "good".

Also wireless a shit. Get SteelSeries Rival 100 - cheap for the quality, lasts a ton and feels really good.

Hey, looks like hours of twitch shooters really paid off.

th-thanks

The problem with those reaction timers is that you can't get into a flow state with them like you can with a game. They're not reliable as a metric.

oh man neo/v/ is so easily baited

congrats on the replies, OP

:)

Giving him the benefit of a doubt doesn't mean we don't hold the possibility of him baiting in the back of our heads.

...

FEAR ME, FOR I AM GOD

inspect element tho

not really he just clicks before it appears. it's just dumb luck.

WORSHIP ME MORTALS!

you are like a little baby

i have a g400 with a broken cable, so i ordered one from china.

I hope you're not spending actual time on this

i'm pretty sure left clicking requires less focus than editing an image.

then you're literally like the 5% that can claim that

those things break within about a year at best for me, no longer buy razer shit because of it

i huff paint

So for people with shit taste in games who play MMOs still, such as myself, does anybody recommend or have an opinion on those MMO controllers like the Razer Tartarus or like things?

I KNOW YOUR EVERY MOVE

They don't add very many if any buttons at all, they just offer shortcuts to existing buttons and then some other buttons which allow you to set up a macro to (but only with their proprietary software*!) If that interests you and you don't mind the learning curve then they offer a comfortable way to play games, especially for those with limited dexterity or disabilities.

*May not be available for all operating systems.

Are there really mice over 100$ in price? I managed to get a G502 Proteus Spectrum for 50 bucks and I thought that was an absolute top of the line mouse.

newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA76Z3MX8324

God is dead.

sheeeeeit

the design actually looks cool would get it if it was cheap and good. We need a standard for open mice that way we can build our own

i dont want to hold johnny depps face. and sometimes i get cum on my mouse when im too lazy to get up and wash off

...

...

if you're going to post a controller at least post a good one you retard

drown in fucking semen already you massive cock gobbling shitstain.

because the magical software known as cable management will quickly fix everything amirite
t. moosick man

man it sure must feel bad to have a small dick

Wireless mice have issues, they are great for mobile stuff like laptops but these things eat up battery like crazy

so I've had a simple genius mouse for 3 years and before that it was used by brother for 4 years and it has given no problem which is impressive considering it has an extra failure point as it doesn't have a scrollwheel and instead has a sensor on top. whereas I keep hearing about several dozens of bucks gaming mouse(which one should assume would have higher durability in both force applied and number of clicks) having problems, either something inside fucking up, a button double clicking or not working altogether or some other dickery, why is this?.

I've been eying the g303 but now I'm scared of having to import a mouse just for it to get outlived by an old genius mouse .

It's not supposed to make you better in the sense that someone new to a game will become some top player just because they own gaming equipment, it's just to eliminate prob-

Who needs management when everything just workz.
