Eric Andre's show was a heavily scripted and overly edited version of the original Tom Green show, right down to destroying the sets, being awkward/adversarial with guests, gross out stuff, and on the street pranks and "w-w-wacky" interviews.

It is much more difficult to create a false reality that is used to push the real world in a certain direction on these mediums, you can still do it to a lesser degree but you can't pull it off in the same manner. With television you can create a false reality in the form of shows that use beautiful talented men and women to promote a certain message and use emotional pleas to push people in the direction you want them to go. It's way more powerful than radio or print and using beautiful people to push a poisonous message makes it more effective on youngsters.
