In the end you develop a solar bomb and fire it at the vampire homeland, killing the prime vampire and thus ever other vampire.
But you yourself have been infected with an incredibly recently developed mutagenic strain not bound to the same rules and must shoot yourself in the head to truely end the curse of the vampire once and for all!
But if you beat it on hard mode which is without killing any humans you are treated to a more hopeful alternate ending where you are cryogenicly frozen until a cure can be made!
A halo-esk set up for a sequel called [Whatever the first game was called]: The 4th Realm.

Through various gameplay mechanics, teach the player to learn/act on things things on his own and never always rely on the tutorial or "objectives".
