Aside from BvS or TLJ, I can’t think of any films where people argued that you need a full theater with surround speakers to determine that it isn’t shit.

BvS, first, has a criminally dumb premise. Batman fighting Superman is a stupid idea (always was) for two reasons. First, because it’s no contest and Superman will win, and second, because being good guys who don’t murder it always boils down to a miscommunication where ultimately they go after the real bad guy (in this case, a hipster Luther and then Doomsday). The whole thing is basically waiting for Lois Lane to show up and convince Batman that Superman is a good guy. The ‘save Martha’ bit was retarded. And somehow Lex Luthor and Zod’s blood made Doomsday? A better film would just be Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman teaming up to fight Doomsday without the dumb conflict between Batman and Superman.

In terms of cinematography, so much of it was unnecessary, like the scene of Mexicans worshipping Superman because he pulled a kid out of a burning building. Batman’s alternate future where Superman rules is another sequence that takes too long and takes itself too seriously. The final fight was mostly people being thrown through buildings and then charging back into the fight. Devil’s due, Marvel’s shitfests always seem to be a little better choreographed and shot.

Batman vs Superman just fails, unless you have such a boner for Snyder you love every time he films a scene with a high framerate.

I agree. Zack Snyder wanted to do a MoS2 but Warner Bros insisted on doing BvS to maximize hype. As far as how it's executed, I felt like Superman's motivations felt weak but focusing the story on a broken Batman and the characters together and tying that in with the symbolism (opening dream sequence of Batman literally in a hole, and physically rising up foreshadowing his later revival) was genius
Meme opinion - I seriously thought that was a touching moment and rounded out Batman's character arc perfectly, and the realization that Superman is just human with a mother might have pissed off Holla Forums but that's what Snyder was going for since MoS.
This is probably the only thing I thought detracted from the film, and not because it's objectively bad, but compared to the pacing and the weight the first 2 hours had Doomsday just felt like a CGI battle they had to put in to appease cinemagoers. I felt the same way about MoS to a lesser extent, no matter what they do the final battle always feels forced and uninspired.
I'd recommend you never watch Koyaanisqatsi. 90 minutes of "unnecessary" footage.
That's one of the most memorable sequences illustrating the complex and dubious nature of Superman being a God figure to these people. That's not even unnecessary, it's establishing one the most central theme of the film.

BUT…he made BvS so deep with fan service that it is almost impossible for someone who hasn't been following DC Comics since the 90s to really get all the references.
