Game is like a tomb raider in the exploration/climbing sense, there are no descriptions or tutorials and the dev plans to keep it that way, you have to figure it all out yourself. Haydee doesn't get upgrades, she gets items, the game revolves around getting new items. Exploration is unlocking doors, platform puzzles, button puzzles, keycards etc. Ammo is scarce, 'softcore' aka easy mode is kinda hard, 'hardcore' aka hard mode is double damage/brutal

Combat is a pretty good third person shooting, enemies die in 2-5 hits but one of the current 2 enemy types is fast. If you can't aim, you'll die

Limited saves means you wanna save as little as possible, but if you die you go back to your save. However, you have plenty of save files, so if you get suck not being able to progress because of constant deaths, boot up an older save, zoom through the part you now know how to do, and conserve ammo/health/diskettes (used to save)

Art has exploded, in like a week there's over 100 pieces of fan art including a few 3D models

Character controls let you walk, run, crouch, jump, shimmy, equip/holster gun and reload, and it's nearly all of it gratuitously luscious

Read the dev comments in OP and you can see what the dev plans to add

Finally got around to popping the demo open, it's better than I expected.
For an early beta the game holds together quite nicely, and though a few aspects feel sluggish or unrefined it manages to keep me interested in exploring.
The demo does a great job of not holding your hand, and instead letting you infer the control scheme and mechanics; the only thing I didn't pick up on immediately was using ctrl to back off ledges.

I'll definitely keep an eye on the project, hopefully the release/later demos will look and play better.

All I can gather from this game is that Holla Forums has the same taste in women as niggers do.

see, this is what i like about this game, everytime i think i found out everything, there's something else i missed.
i just went in there, found 2 boxes of ammo, 1 slowbot, 2 locked doors, and a savepoint.

That's why I liked it, I kept backtracking and finding new shit and each time I was like damn

Sure, texture quality, polygon count on models, fluidity of the controls can all be objectively rated.
Whenever or not the gameplay of a videogame is enjoyable cannot, because its subjective, just like something the soundtrack of a game is.
