New Eden
Guns
>implying you didn't enjoy purging the Jian temple

I basically accidentally bought this game years ago

Why should I bother to play?

Depends. Do you like fun?

You get to kill shit

Fun is a buzzword

But yes

How do I get into this game? I've played the first level but it didn't really hit me, does it get better?

You get to remove Jian.

Tied between New Eden and Electric Sheep
PSI after NG+++
Mentor duh, gives you the best PSI power too

spoiler: YOU WERE RIMANAH ALL ALONG!!1!!!1!

choke on it

I got this on Steam awhile back and I installed it recently. I plan to play it soon, but I haven't gotten to touch it yet. Is the multiplayer dead?

It's dead as far as i concerned
though Holla Forums once hosted a server and long sotry short, 28 guys filled the server at once

32 player Co-Op is possible but I see few servers these days. Some people play deathmatch because they're idiots and don't understand why this game is fun.

So what's the chance that I'll be able to rally a bunch of anons for co-op or deathmatch? Would anyone here be interested in doing some of that this weekend? Should I make a thread about it in a few nights and organize? Please advise.

I'd make a thread, there's sure to be some people up for it.

Just watch out for filthy jians who will hack you (Ingame. You can hack people to control/kill/look through their eyes/steal from them)

How does hacking even work in deathmatch? Do you get to control other players or have them fight for you when you hack them?

No, You can't actually control players. (You can do it to NPCs), but you can Hack-Kill, Hack-Steal and regular Hack them (Which puts a massive neon colored smiley face on their screen and they can't get rid of it unless they hack themselves).

Hacking isn't viable in a deathmatch really, because the minigame takes time to do. (It's a final fantasy style "turn based but not really" battle with the target's cyber brain.)

Hacking in multiplayer would have been so much greater if instead of the smiley face, the hacker could choose their own .gif or picture to plaster on their targets' HUDs.

If you do end up starting a server, remember to post an announcement in the Steam group: steamcommunity.com/groups/slashveeslasheye

Maybe not exactly the best choice, since you might end up with fags hiding all the time so they could spam you with furry porn

That's adorable.

that's the point, what other reason would you have to hack people in DM other than to piss them off?

Anyone wanna put up the infopics? Newb here who wants to get brouzof but don't know how

...

and have these too
in time you will come to understand them

Did that little series ever continue? I thought it was pretty fucking neat.

(checked)
I could never find the rest of the series and the user I saved them from said he couldn't either.

The apartment one that goes into sewers, can't remember how's it called right now. Getting that call that the feds know I'm there, and then rushing down the stairs while blasting the shit out of those faggots with dual pistols is incredibly fucking satisfying.
Guns are overall better, but holy fuck do I love Dragon
The Jian temple level is too much fun

That's Electric Sheep.

Yeah, that one. Then again, New Eden was also as sick. I'd say all levels were great with the exception of Mars

I was never fond of the Vindicus factory, and didn't like the one where you pretend to work with the bandits too much either. Electric Sheep and part 2 of New Eden were definitely the best.

Rate my shit-ass stealth gameplay, Holla Forums

I can kinda imagine all of the mechanics in this game would translate nicely to a more classic isometric Fallout style CRPG. The whole universe seems pretty neat, but the game leaves a lot in the dark past your cycles of guilt, and that HL1 mod Streum made, SyndicateBlackOps, anyone tried that?

Also:
Is the floating island of the "true ending" supposed to be some sort of limbo between your self-made hell universe and the real one?

Design? New Eden or Electric Sheep
Fun? Forgotten Center by far
DAMOCLES
Mentor felt amazing removing Jian

It's supposed to be the point where you realize that you're playing a game, and the only way to complete it is to stop playing.
:^)

Neat idea in theory but the thing it isn't really impressive. Simply using implants all the way to the exit wiith an overlevelled character doesn't really require that much skill to stealth, would have been more interesting to see how quickly you could speedrun the level.

...

You flatter me, man.

fug, never bothered to check the channel when I made the webm

Link to my Steam account is on the profile, mate, if you ever want to do some coop cuhrazy let me know.

Just be warned, whatever we're doing, I'm a perfectionist at heart.

that webm is pretty good too bad you have to set the difficulty to below ghost to have that kind of crazy fun

So when I go to temple HQ to grind, the dude says some doors only open on certain days. What does this mean? Do I really just have to sit there and wait, or does he mean irl days? or is he just fuckin with me?

bumping the thread

...

It means you can't enter ones you haven't completed already, which you can get around by simply going to Temple HQ through the menu instead of going there after a mission, in which case everything is open.

We will make a server someday?

Damn, was your legs okay after that?

My legs were in fact okay.
Many brouzouf were earned.

Does anybody know of any games other than this and Dishonored where you can magic-psi-gun-murder your ass off with sword, blade and mana?

This is actually why I asked about the previous video's gameplay, I feel like regardless of how good the game is it's idea of higher difficulty doesn't really work out that well.

Sauce on the webm?
