Honestly, given some of the issues that the translations for the series apparently have at times, I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been retranslation patches for Suikoden I or II, at the very least to clean up outright errors (granted, it's still a series I need to get to, but I've heard that in the English version of Suikoden II they can't even keep the spelling of Joey or whatever his name is down straight). Though I suppose that maybe, like with Wild Arms 1 and 2, there simply hasn't been demand to warrant it, be it from their being a slew of fans wanting better, or a devoted/autistic enough fan that knows moon that personally wants a better option in English.

They certainly had less typo's in later games, but I can't really speak for changes to the script and such. But 1 and 2 have some really bad issues. I can't remember which one, but in one of them the word "miss" was typo'd to "piss" in a minigame, such that when ever you threw a bad dice the character would state "That's a bad piss.".

I wonder how easy it would be for someone to rip the Japanese scripts for Suikoden I and II. First step toward anyone doing a retranslation would be there (to make sure they get the entire text).

Remembered that Suikoden has seen some fan translation work, just that it was with the Suikogaiden games rather than anything main entry (honestly surprises me a bit that for some of the less popular franchises out there, the west has at times seen every entry come overseas in some form, but the big name, long running ones have skipped out on various versions, if not entire entries, over the years).

As a comparison, Seiba! for me is an example of absolute waifubait. She's originally from an ero VN, so that's part of her fucking job.
