The show was good at first but then it just became a lazy clusterfuck of cool plot ideas that are all just stolen from fan speculation. Almost none of the plot ideas mesh and you have one character crying about one problem they have and a few episodes being about it, and then they cry and get over it, and then it's never brought up again and some other garbage gets brought up and conflicts with it some previous stuff rather heavily all because some fans thought it'd be cool.

Like listen man I got into the show a couple of years ago and I loved it. The plot was fun and it kept me excited, and it had some fun jokes and actually good filler as well. It was the closest thing I was ever going to get to an Earthbound cartoon, but then that shit changed.

They're ruining so much shit like, Garnet for example, who's really just there for the writers to split up so they can show Ruby and Sapphire together to pander to the fans because MUH LESBIANS. Beforehand she was so determined to never split but now, or at least from what I've seen before she stops, it's like she splits at the slightest fucking thing just to show off the two of them again. And she used to be my favorite character, too.

I'm probably going to go back and watch the rest of it someday just because I've already wasted so many hours of my life watching the shit that I'd at least get it over with and see the rest in hopes that it'd get good, but damn. It's just kind of inconsistent Tumblr-pandering slice-of-life stuff now, and it makes me kind of disappointed because it legit could've been something so much better.
