but they designed it exactly like that - so you'd lose team members so you feel the tragedies of 'war'

I gave up soon after. The missions were getting repetitive and I saw where the plot was going.

As did I, a race that has been native to Europa from the start of time, who have blue eyes, get disgraced in a war for doing things they didn't do, perpetrated by (((historical revisionists))), all the while being humble and heroic individuals who are amazing at making and using cool shit.

You can beat the game with no casualties. The only mission that ever gave me trouble and resulted in a casualty a few times before i figured out what to do was the mission in the desert where you crossed a large no mans land with tanks.

For the record, I got S rank in VC3 on all missions on the first try except for two, which I honestly think are impossible to S rank without grinding the DLC missions since you can do them multiple times.

And by git gud you mean buff up the main chick with commands and run to the other end of the map, like if it were fucking Sonic, right?
They should have made every character so weak that they die from one or two shots, and the main objective of most missions should have been breaking the enemy. By that I mean slaughtering them till they run away. So the game needs a moral system too.

You only unlock her abilities late in the game. It makes grinding for stuff late game easier but you don't need it to get a deathless game.

It's also worth noting in particular that there are a few changes beyond just stats as well, such as AT cannons and certain types of snipers getting limited intercept capabilities, and command points being shifted off the main characters, allowing you to deploy whoever you want instead of Alicia/Largo/Rosie every time. Really worth playing through if you enjoyed vanilla, but have worn out the game from scout rushing every map into oblivion.

Oh yes, it's not to fall in love with the tonks in this game. And male uniforms are quite good (apart from the occasional boob armour), they blend old and new styles very well. Females uniforms are kind of retarded, but putting females to the battlefield is retarded too, so I can accept that.

I recently went back and played this game after dropping it. My tolerance for turn based strategy isn't great but i'm giving it another go. This motherfucker i adore. He's just dying to die for his country. Not all of the cast is interesting but him and wendy make my warboner rock hard

Making models from scratch takes time, especially with uniforms as complex as VC characters'.

Also last time I checked, there are no female skeletons, voices and animations for the soldiers in Arma 3. Not sure how the game handles custom ones either, so chances are any player mods you eventually end up making making won't look half as かわいい as in the real game.

Probably figured it'd have been put into service, instead of being left in a civilian's barn filled with munitions.

Wasn't the Edelweiss a pet project that Welkin's dad and Isara's dad were working on after the first war? Maybe the Gallian Army didn't know or particularly cared because the tank was never going to replace what they already had. Probably got the F-22 treatment: the finest, toughest tank in the land but so incredibly costly that it wasn't viable. I do remember seeing in game that the Edelweiss couldn't be mass produced.

Yeah, VCII and III both do much better in this department. Each character, no matter how minor, has loyalty side-missions where their character is expanded upon in cutscenes until it culminates in a special mission - after which their traits change and potentials unlock.

Also, Gisele is pretty awesome. It probably would have made more sense to make her a Flame Thrower wielding Shock Trooper, but I used her as a sniper because I loved hearing her say "Sayonara" in that subdued crazy/playful voice after a headshot.

Also, she may be proficient with it, but maybe it's not the best idea to kit out a mentally deranged serial arsonist with military grade incendiary weaponry.

Prof. Theimer basically tried to sell the equivalent of a Tiger II, but the Gallian High Command had the mentality of the Finns. Not that this can't be a viable strategy, look at the Shamrock: light tank retrofitted with whatever tech they can lay their hands on.

Try fielding a team like Suzy, Aisha, Edy, Herbert, Nancy or the like, with their personal potentials unlocked.
