I think taking further control over how people post is an unnecessary overreach of moderation and limits user expression and results in less ways to interact with others. Plenty of interesting threads, OPs, devs, etc rely on users being named and having contact information. If tripfags become annoying, they can be banned or better yet the community can take matters into their own hands, self-moderate and tackle the situation as they see fit.

I see no benefit from this. In my experience since this board was created it hasn't had a problem with people shitting up threads with an internet personality.

Trips generally aren't abused here, and do have proper uses, even with IDs in place. For instance, we wouldn't have been able to identify Mixingfag as easily for the Holla Forums Sings of Sonic Boom without his trip.

Also, though less common, there are legitimate uses for the email field other than just sage.

We have IDs.

As such, we can use either ID or names. Both are un-needed.

Now, lets say we have a person who says "Here's the files I've got that people want [new game made, pirated games, etc], only download from people using my trip."
You could have a scenario where anyone can now claim they are that trip fag, and share viruses.
However, I believe Holla Forums will get work-arounds for "anonymous trustworthiness verification."
