I pointed out that the examples listed in the article are fucking horrible and flat out wrong and they sheepishly agreed.

Something interesting to note is that a lot of the time, the people crying about these things typically give next to no reasoning or cite good examples for their points. Yakuza and Street Fighter are probably the single worst examples to bring up in an "Asian representation" argument since Street Fighter's entire cast is based on national stereotypes and the Yakuza series as a whole is created by Japanese devs in Japan solely to bundle up what they love about Japanese culture to share with a Japanese audience, and the cast of characters in the games are overwhelmingly Asian to the point that you can count the number of non-Asian characters that had some sort of involvement in the main story on one hand.

Plus the fact that the article author complained about the fact that Yakuza and Sleeping Dogs, games about organized crime, had tough guys in it. It's idiotic.
