Drift-flanking, you might as well use a pump-action, but semi-autos work as well.

for shotguns get a laser sight, barrel extender is useless. You can pick any shotgun you really want, Baron is good choice.

semi auto/auto is best choice for drifters. pumps take too long and you lose the one shot kill when dirfting because of cof issues the majority of the time (unless you're right up their rectum).

The most advice I could give you is to stay aware of your surroundings. Oh, and look up periodically near buildings or mountains, a Light Assault can easily climb up into an area not easily accessible by other classes and fuck your shit up.

Also, unlike what most of the shitters say, K/D isn't important, this is a team game. Figure out how to best support your team and rack up certs with heals, ammo drops, or whatever else you can do.

Combination of and with some additional advice.
Keep your ears open. All weapons have telltale noises and all Infiltrators have an audible sound when then cloak/decloak.
TR Infiltrators sound like a glass door opening and closing.
VS sound like someone's taking a shit. I don't recall encountering enough NC infilshitters to be able to notice them audibly.

I once got a compliment from a burger when I nailed him with an AV turret while he was in an ESF, but otherwise I get nothing.

I've mostly done repairslutting/ammoslutting, and the best advice I can give is to mostly hang back and just help out if someone gets too close.

Oh, and another thing, keep in mind this game has no hitscan weapons and all non-Vanu weapons have bullet drop. This usually doesn't factor into much unless you're trying to hit a guy way downfield, but it helps when you're trying to nail one of those infiltrators who does nothing but spend his entire time camping on the side of a mountain.

The AV turret is a better infantry farming weapon than you'd think. Sometimes the stars align and you get the perfect flank on a group. They're zeroed in on your teammates while cowering behind a rock and you've got a perfect shot from far away with the turret. Just keep landing direct hits and you'll get a kill every time.

And then we destroyed them as soon as we stopped the two back cap attempts.

Why do they do this. At least with Indar you never notice because quartz ridge-excavation never moves.

The only Pm I got was when me and another light assault surprised each other coming around corner. What proceeded for the next 30 seconds was the greatest display of panicked incompetence from both soldiers. We both took to the sky and lost sight of each other because of the shitty FOV, spraying fire in random directions, watching eachother sit for for a second and both reload and boosting again, then we just started to wildly swing our knives. I got him and he just pm'ed lol which was appropriate

Because it is a horribly designed continent. Same reason there is only 1 technology plant (in spite of PS1 Esamir having multiple of them). It was also one of the earliest continents (I believe in the works before Amerish, which was long before a lot of testing happened) and was lazily revamped. Indar's variety was due to it being intended only as a test continent used to try out a variety of different designs, but was very popular as a result of having variety intended for separate continents that became never ever. Hossin, Searhus, and Oshur where all intended as post launch content, however only Hossin actually came to fruition. It's likely that they intended to have a large number of widely varied continents, each sticking to a specific kind of gameplay, but low playercounts, undelivered promises and lack of resources has pretty much killed almost all of the ideas Higby outlined for the 10 years following launch.

They only really revamped two bases: waterson and mattherson which were just brand new. other than that the whole continent is basically made around the old hex system where its easy to surround defendable bases to attack from all sides.

Esamir has terrible lattice, base placement, colour palette, if esamir was green and didn't have such a good bonus, and hossin was white (and instead the bonus wasn't dogshit along with some bases), their roles would switch. The NW faction on esamir is basically fucked. Not only they have disadvantage that they are boxed in, but their points of attack are 2 fucking biolabs
Andvari bio lab - the worst bio lab in the game to attack due to retarded ground level siege with a point and tower jump pads that 50% of players have never used
mani bio lab - as other biolabs but you cant secure lattice along it due to proximity to the NE warpgate
Eisa tech plant - its a fucking tech plant, hope you like running across open space past magriders and airchavs. You get easily cut off by the southern faction if they decide to move in.

The better thing to do would be to have HAs C4 dropped on them by the passengers. Provided you can actually fly above a gal in the first place. In fact, you're just better off with multiple HAs with T2 Strikers.

Whenever I would place an ammo pack on my friends Lib when he was trying to pick me up he would complain about it being nearly impossible to take off because the ammo pack was fucking with him. That's why I'm wondering if multiple ammo packs can be used to fuck up entire galaxies.

What do you have? I'd recommend the Jaguar. It's probably the best gun certs can buy for a TR. Easy to manage recoil, incredibly accurate hipfire, and good damage all around.

I've auraxed both, suppressor works great on both pretty well, a bit of a decrease in bullet velocity so it's harder to use them at medium to longer ranges, but it allows for just so much sneaky bullshit if you get into good spots with a jetpack, since most players rely on that radar dot that is hidden by suppressors A great tip is that people don't look up a whole lot.

Flak Armor is strong, it's just that it's only useful against vehicles and explosives, when most HAs are doing anti-infantry.

As long as you are good at hit-and-run attacks with cloaking you'll be fine without one. The only people that need suppressors are stalker cloak users and snipers, and if you use these there's a good chance you are useless to your team anyway.

best heavy assault weapon?
I've been using battle rifle in VR and it seems pretty good

Test the Chaingun, MSW-R, and finally TMG-50, those are my go-to HA weapons, Chaingun for BRRRT action and good for overall removing of Burger or Tranu in a small area.

MSW-R for quick room-to-room fighting, hipfire accuracy is great, don't use it for anything more than CQC.

TMG-50 is great for mid-long range fighting, damage is great, think of the gun as a long-range LMG-Sniper rifle.

I love piloting valk-chan but everyone keeps bullying her.

I think it would be better if 1 side has 2 heavies with strikers while the other side is 2 engineers to repair. The gunner should be a medic with triage to heal the passengers. The heavies go bombing on 1 side while the engineers safely reapir from the other

valk will simply NEVER EVER be relevant until redeployside is nerfed, its really that simple. Most of the "buffs" ideas i've seen here and on leddit only improve its offensive or defensive capability, with some suggestions giving it some niche utility (like cloak or nanite transport). By giving it more guns, or better guns (door-guns, AI ESF noseguns) all you're doing is making it into Liberator 2.0 or an even more cancerous ESF. Giving it more defensive capabilty (more armor, immune to small arms) and you're only making it Galaxy 2.0, or improving whatever offensive capability with staying power.

If you want a properly functioning Valk, it must actually be useful in transporting people into bases, and more convenient than either pulling you're own ESF or riding in a Gal. This won't happen as long as their are multitudes of instant spawn options like IA, squad beacons, reinforcements needed etc.

I highly doubt anything like this will EVER happen, as faggots are too used to being able to teleport into whatever farm they feel like whenever they feel like, and actual logistics would be "too hard"

Though I think the problem with valk is now the passengers get some damage from flak/explosives, so that strategy isn't as viable as it used to be.

Let me break it down for you:
-Each Redeploy timer takes 10 seconds
-Redeploying… only allows you to hop over to the next base in the lattice
-Even Reinforcements Needed, the option that allows you to jump across continents, doesn't even trigger unless there is at least friendly presence in the hex, and is rather buggy on top of that

Long story short, as a Lone Wolf popping around the Map to help where it is needed, Redeploy takes a frustrating amount of time to actually GET anywhere.

I actually prefer the sundy garage as a gate because of the small choke point. Easier to defend and because of the huge structure, its easy to fix it too.
