I would actually recomend you either lurk on our board or try to have a discussion with some leftists first before reading, because a lot of the books are very complex and assume you already know a bit.
Perhaps a good one to start with would be Conquest of Bread by Peter Kropotkin. He's a pretty sweet writer, and he will get you familiarised with anarchism, and, in large part, communism.

If it is forced by the state, or even has a state in any level, it can never be communism BY DEFINITION. You will not find any communist that has read any theory saying that communism was ever achieved. Most you will find is marxist-leninists saying socialism was achieved in the USSR, which is a highly contested claim by other socialists.
You must also take into account that I am an anarchist. We reject the state in all its forms, and don't want a "transition state" like the marxist-leninists.
