History is filled with all sorts of dumb political movements that last a decade or two, die, and are largely forgotten, even though they seemed like a huge deal at the time. Eventually they're just obscure trivia or "wacky facts about how silly politics was back then".

Ultimately you need to look after your own life and not get so preoccupied, most of it won't affect you directly. GG and the like is something you can choose to do with your free time, not something you should let consume your life. So initial reactions from half an hour, it's pretty nice. Fairly decent writing for a police-oriented strategy game, and Jon St. John does a pretty good job with the narration. The actual gameplay is pretty much a strategy game where you have to judge the severity of the calls you get and possibly make choices if the scenario prompts for it. One of the prompts I got was for a case where some teenagers stole porn from a video store at gunpoint, and I told the officers to just knock on the door and say "police," which scared them shitless enough to be apprehended. I haven't gotten into the corruption mechanic yet, but so far, I'm fairly impressed with everything I'm seeing.
