Here is a novel idea: no TV. No TVs at all in airport terminals. Tear them all out, they aren't needed. The only reason they're there is to take advantage of televisions hypnotizing properties to keep crowds of people pacified, but smartphones have surpassed television in this regard. Next time you travel, look around the terminal and make note of how many heads are pointed towards the televisions, and how many are pointed down towards their laps.

I think the biggest problem is the sound. Even if you aren't listening, subconsciously its still getting through.
