Hey gamergays. It's me, the Game Sense guy. I saw your thread about rebuild a while ago. It inspired me to make something for game sense that will help all of us. Most of it is done through matching templates together and using frameworks for client-side and server side. No need to reinvent the wheel, most of the time someone already did what you are trying to do.

Personally I did a lot of Nodejs for web dev, it allows me to code it all in the same language. I was not really a web developper, I learned mostly as I did stuff through trial and error.

Look at todomvc.com to see how the same program is done differently depending on which framework you chose.

If you want to code websites, not use templates, I recommend learning Python, then learning Django, which builds on Python.

I did, it was a nice convention, though I was really disappointed with how many people were there. Two reasons:
1) to see if there is any change in the number of female characters. This will start to create a trend graph. The journalists seem to have been very quiet about whether games have become progressive or not.
2) It could also be used to create salt as the game sales numbers for "progressive" games can be compared to normal games in the present/future. It could show definitively that progressive games are cancer to profits for the execs, bypassing SJW infested PR spin.

A graph like that may be good for decent sites to rebuke any claims made by non-decent sites.

I think the reason you don't really hear about it is because it's not very good. Not that it's a bad game either but there are tons of little things here and there that make it way worse than it should be. Like the controls can be a little finicky, especially while taking people hostage or trying to get down from a ledge during stealth sections. The combat is nothing special and a lot of the bosses are really pathetic for how much the game builds them up. The story as far as I've played is kind of junk and spells everything out for the player while keeping the MC ignorant of everything for basically no benefit.
I don't really like it, it's just the average indie 2D platformer with more gender politics.
