It's stories like this that make me realize how right Marx was.

These are the people we should be working to convert.

This. A military coup is the only hope we have of establishing socialism in the US.

Indeed. Sadly, I don't know if they would, as they've likely had American patriotism hardwired into them.

tbh jarheads are scum anyway.

They need nudges more than anything, I imagine outright attempts wouldn't work.

We have CavAnon here, the guy accused of punching Alex Jones was also in the military.

Some of them.
But occasionally they come out of the situation disillusioned and then they make great comrades.

I guess that's true, but former investment bankers would probably make good comrades too, that doesn't mean I feel any better about them.

The only kind of veteran I can respect is one who regrets serving for what it did to the world, not what it did to themselves

Bonus Army when?

You can get about 20% of them, tops. The rest are Trumpenproles or worse.

I never knew the navy was that based.

marine corps can collectively jump off the bridges in other countries they spend their time blowing up.

Sauce?

This is the California National Guard not the U.S. Army. According to the article, some idiot named Toni Jaffe, who was in charge of getting people to reenlist, intentionally signed guys up for bonuses that they were not eligible for as a way to incentivise reenlistment. This is about a career soldier breaking the rules to pad her resume.

It's still bullshit that California is expecting guys to pay back what was given to them.

I always knew the Navy was the smartest branch. The Army is for retards and the Mo-rine Corps is just an angrier Army.

It is curious how Clinton support is practically non-existent in all of them.

Source?

Seems that Military Times is the source of the poll. It's legit.

Here we go. This one also shows that B████ wins in the Chairforce.

Excellent.

The poll was voluntary, though, and they had a response rate of 2% (lol). Anyone using this data for anything important would have to be insane.

We can at least reasonably conclude that the chairforce and navy are more to the left than the army and marines.

The Air Force and the Navy are the branches that people who do not much like the prospect of being shot at tend to join. It would figure that they would be a bit more cerebral than their Army and Marine counterparts.

All polls are voluntary and low response rate.

Anything important, like what?

True. I didn't realize how unreliable the data collection method could be for normal polls. Now I know.

The importance comment was mostly intended as a joke. I suppose trying to determine the behavior of the armed forces in a revolution could be considered important, though.
