As well as changing their name from "reporters" ( winos to the public) to the more respectable "journalists", they started to develop university courses to make it more "professional".
Also things like the highly successful Bernstein and Woodward book on Watergate, made into a critically acclaimed and popular film, made the profession , for the first time in it's existence, "cool". Pretty soon every two bit hack began to see themselves as an important professional whose job it was to "make a difference", and " change the world", and to see their scribblings as brilliant literature.
All that is happening in the era of Trump is that the public opinion of "journalists" - sorry I mean "alcoholics", is returning to its historical norm.

Then I move away from the materialistic arguments, and argue more from a perspective of "it doesn't even matter whether other races are good or bad or high or low IQ, whites still deserve a right to exist and have their own nations".
THEN I move on and start pointing out here and there whenever a kike pops up and say "hmm really makes you think". Then I point out how the kikes control everything, and go down that root. And then finally, after all of this is said and done, I go to the final redpill and say "oh, by the way, the holocaust never fucking happened anyway."
