This is true tbh. No one conforms fully to categories of "straight" and "gay", or even "bisexual" or any even more inclusive orientation. They're all socially constructed at the end of the day and necessarily cannot fully capture each individual's preferences - and in fact identifying with them just limits oneself in that respect by reproducing these constructs in some way.

For one thing, anyone who is that adamant about their disgust towards homo activities is probably overcompensating and repressing any thoughts they might have had about it. We all want to believe our own narratives.
But even so, categories of orientation aren't a simple binary where you either want to succ dikk or fug vagine and you're either gay, straight, or bi.
There are pretty strict standards for what constitutes being straight or gay or whatever that are represented in certain ways culturally and that shape our understanding of what it means to have a certain orientation, and everyone deviates from them even a tiny bit. Which invalidates them completely by their restrictive, binary nature.
