because there's a pretty good mod for Sins of a Solar Empire for it, Cardassian scum.

Tell me Gul Dukat, if cardassians are so great, then why do you have a fetish for bajoran pussy?

There were a buch of decent ones.

DS9: The Fallen was great too.

Because Star Trek is at it's best when it's dealing with space politics and interesting characters instead of the pew pew space fights.

And that doesn't translate well to vidya because the work required to make a game with significant branching choices is just too much.

i just wanna play a game where i'm in a widely visited space station and cool shit happens

Well sadly one of the next games coming out this year for star trek is a VR game where you are stuck on the bridge of the Enterprise. The other one is a mobile game

So basically Recettear: Space Edition?

Because the Federation is shit.

One of the best space games ever made focused on the Klingons

It begins…

I just want a modern game where Cardassia is a major faction. They can hold their own. Fuck that shitty excuse of a Star Trek MMO for not having Cardassia instead of that shitty Romulan faction. Only thing we got that's close is that Sins of a Solar Empire mod.

It's not modern but….

They are subhuman scum, but dam I'd tap bajoran ass.

you guys know about the mod for Distant Worlds

It's a good game and the mod makes it perfect

Leeta? She became a major character in the MMO. Well, her Mirror Universe version did at least.

Regardless, did you learn nothing from the infoholograms? The Bajoran is a dangerous biological entity who can cause great harm to your body by proximity alone. Remember the wartime slogans; if you grab her romantically by her side, she'll commit a cardassian genocide.

Remove Hasperat.

I thought it was still very heavy WIP?

Yamato assault phasers set to overload, captain. Everyone brace for recoil!
goodolgaming.com/downloads/index.php?dir=ka/

Cardassians suck. They couldn't even genocide one shitty planet full of vermin.

Work camps user, not death camps.

Cardassians never deny the genocide. Either they internalized Bajoran propaganda like cucks, or they are inefficient pansies.

They weren't there to genocide, they were there to enslave. What the Bajoran's called a genocide was what the Cardassian's called 'work place incidents.'

Based user

Firstly Star Trek is shit and always has been shit. Roddenbury was a paranoid kike who pandered social justice to look mighty.

Secondly, there are good Star Trek games, such as pic related.

DUMP THEM ALL

Star Trek was alright up until DS9 ended despite its Zionist influence. The characters were likeable excluding FUCKING Wesley and its remakrably realistic at some points.

TOS>DS9>TNG>VOY>ENT>nuTREK

This. I'm sure the Cardasians could have just glassed the planet or release a bioweapon if they wanted to kill all Bajorans.

I have to wonder what the Federation would have done if the Cardasians DID genocide Bajor.

Alpha Protocol in Space. You are an agent for Section 31, trying to uncover a massive plot that could potentially lead to the downfall of the Federation. There.

Shit

Fuck Wesley.
I'm watching TNG S1 and he's insufferable. Worst was that episode with the alien who predicts he'll be some chosen one because he's smart. I hope they kill him off or something.

Looks like they've learned a little from the Klingons about ship design. Appropriated tech is cool in my book.

...

at least we know wesley was a failure in real life

He's probably still licking Samantha Saints pussy juice from that couch.

Also give me something to pirate so I can sate my 4X cravings.

That is the only thing keeping me sane during the Wesley scenes.

The Bible is literally true.

Space is a myth, a fairy tale concocted by socialist humanists.

Jesus is Lord.

if space is myth why is twinkle when look up dark??

But that's fucking wrong.

Please don't reply to the spammer

Why are studio suits so obsessed with prequels and reboots? Fans want sequels. It's not hard.

but fucking with people is my right and duty as an Australian citizen

I've got some bad news for you, user.

God, I haven't played GalCiv in ages, I used to own a hard copy in a very shiny box I picked up a long time ago.

I wager this is just below Aurora on the 'tism scale, yes?

Link isn't working for me for some reason

So they can cash in on nostalgia when they have characters from the original series and next generation show up. It's gonna be shit

Correct

No user don't

Sexy fucking nose ridges retard.

DS9 is the best Trek series hands down and retards saying original series is better only do so because they're wrong.

I MUST

NOT

Good. Very good.

He's an Aussie. Whereever he goes he must shitpost.

kek

...

Oh shit, Jeri Ryan's there too.

Also this was the superior version.

They must host the files on some kind of toaster, took a small eternity for download when I discovered it some months ago. Save in favs and try some other day or maybe someone would be so kind to upload it somewhere else.
However you get it, patches for modern systems are needed and can be found here jiridvorak.webpark.cz/ka/

Thank you muchly, hopefully I can get it to work on Linux

I just started watching DS9, does the acting get any better? All these deadpan deliveries and lack of common sense from Sisko and friends make me want to fucking kill myself

Good episodes are the exception in the first 2 - 3 seasons, after that it really ramps up in quality I found. Most people tend to really enjoy Garak, Quark and Odo, although Sisko does improve. The biggest improvement is Kira who starts off as an angry bull dyke but actually becomes a likeable character over the seasons. O'Brien and Bashir are good and Jadzia Dax is shit all the way through.

To add to what wrote. Early seasons are mostly garbage, and I say that as someone who watched it when it aired. No need to eat all the bowl of eggs with early season of DS9, either have the fast forward button ready or skip and read the plot synopsis later. The series picks up real steam when The Dominion War arc starts. That's where the series becomes real interesting.

Ah alright, that's good to know. Thanks anons, I guess I'll keep at it

What, does he become captain of the Enterprise or some shit?

No, but he sure as hell doesn't die.

just go already, cuckchan. I'm sick of these fucking offtopic cancer threads.

Why did you not sage then?

thread is mostly people talking about star trek games faggot

...

What a waste of a character.

Just skip most of it for bonus points later. Just watch this shit to figure out what the fuck happens as business starts to pick up.

Highly recommend the bold shit; everything else is nice and generally watchable but you can survive without it. Only "Duet" and "Our Man Bashir" are isolated stories but they are GOAT and you are a faggot if you skip them.

And also because they're phonies who say they like star trek but haven't watched all the series.

Conversely, if you sat through all voyager episodes, you are also a phony because nobody with dignity could suffer through it.

JUST

Of the two adventure games, my favorite is Judgement Rites. Here's the whole game without commentary.

Watch Duet, which is one of the best episodes in the entire show

Sisko, you blissfully ignorant fuck.

Is that wojak?

Playing those two adventure games as badly as possible is pretty fun too.

Holy shit, I never noticed that.

I can literally hear him say it.

I can't wait till the Overhauls for Stellaris are finished please dear god let the modders finish them. We've got Star Wars, Star Trek and EVE Online overhauls coming and it's going to be fucking glorious.

Has anyone seen the nuTrek movie yet? What were your thoughts on it

Good name for a Klingon ship.

I saw it, it was alright. Not much SJ shit. Its basically Kirk, Spock amd Bones broing up.

I heard they cut the gay kiss scene with Sulu after all the backlash

Yeah that's what I liked about it too. I also liked the bad guy until they went lolbackstory on him

It's pretty much a two hour long episode of Star Trek.

There's no kiss. They just show him meeting his husband and kid and that's it. There's not even any dialogue mentioning the husband.
Ideally it shouldn't have been in the movie in the first place but it was toned down enough I didn't really care

Yeah there was no sulu kiss, but they still made a point to show sulu was gay

You know, it was the contrary for me, I found that there were not enough motive for the bad guy.

The space battle was nice though.

...

Sue me but I likes Insurrection.

It's stupid. The villain is a mutated ENT-era MACO who eats people, and his plan is to genocide his food because they piss him off. He has drones that fuck shit up and ruin the nuEnterprise but an NX-style ship can beat them because they are weak to shitty music, which that old class of ship is equipped with.

In the end they get a new Enterprise and nothing really significant happens overall.

First Contact was fucking Gold in my opinion. That battle at the beginning gets me everytime.

Nemesis would have been better if Frakes directed it

I was hoping for an Excelsior as the next ship, those are sexy as fuck.

I think he had enough motive but he didn't utilize it in a way that made sense. It would have made more sense if his plan was a massive false flag instead just killing lots of people

None of the JJverse ships look good, and they are still around the TOS era so the next ship will probably have those kind of stylings again; no TMP design cues except the Vengeance, a little.

nuTrek ship designs make more sense if they are refits for TNG era

Yeah it would have made more sense. "Da Frontier is pushing back" is retarded.

Alright post your favorite Star Trek ships

...

I've heard some shit about nuTrek ships being post-Undiscovered Country/pre-TNG in tech level based on Nero ship scans from USS Kelvin. But fuck if I know if that's official or just bullshit but there hasn't been any good content from that timeline yet so who cares.

I don't know, user. I liked the ship that Khan supposedly designed in the 2nd movie. It looked badass.

Wasn't Nero ship upgraded with Borg technology too?

Well IIRC the idea was that the appearance of Nero's Borg laden ship made Starfleet kick it's R&D into high gear, which is why when Kirk is finally old enough the Enterprise is the size of a fucking Galaxy-class. Like wise Section 31 used Khan to help design a lot of stuff, something he never did in TOS.

The dreadnought in NuTrek 2 was the results of this. We also see changes in Klingon Bird of Prey.

lol, what a nerd.
Pretty on point list

Don't forget Sulu is now gay because the progressive writers are so incompetent they can't create an interesting original character on the basis of his/her gender identity.

Even old Sulu calls them out on their shit.

They look like hot rod versions of TOS ships done in chrome.

Good taste user.
Partial to the pic related

Yea. He upgraded his mining ship with superior borg tech, which apparently wasn't able to withstand an assault by a single nacelle science ship, but was capable of handling a fuckton of Klingon bird of preys.

Did anyone else pick up on the fact that the jellyfish spins because it was designed by LaForge?

I know it's not part of any official work but I've always wanted a dedicated carrier type vessel in Trek.

It was that the Kelvin rammed into and then self-destructed. The ship just needed time to regenerate

It's alright mainly because it's painted black and looks like a TMP ship around the nacelles and deflector, with standard Fed color scheme in good lighting it looks like a boxy piece of shit.

IIRC that's what I've heard. There was even supposed to be a comic where they went to talk to V'Ger to get cheats on where to find Spock's time warp or something.

Is it really the size of a fucking Galaxy? Holy shit.

Simon Pegg is a fucking hack fraud.

Where did he upgrade his ship with Borg technology without being assimilated?

Also, even without the upgrades it shouldn't have had any problem with TOS era ships.

...

The comic where they talked to V'Ger also had them get their mining ship upgraded after Romulus blew up at a secret facility where the military was testing Borg and other illegal shit. They threw it in Star Trek Online after a while, too.

There's an entire storyline in STO about Romulans conducting Borg research because of it.

Tal Shiar

Oh ok, that's why I never heard of that storyline. I didn't play STO much.

Wewew

...

Oh god what happened.

Old age is a bitch

...

ezri a cute

I'd fuck her mercilessly while she wraps those juicy legs around me.

...

Is this good?

A Final Unity is a fucking fantastic game user

...

Yes.

Barbaric.

...

What's so bad about it?
It is essentially TNG's Wrath of Kahn.

It was the best TNG movie, at least.

It might be the best TNG film…but it's still inferior to the TMP films.

Some people like it, I thought it was shit to be honest.

Do you ever think that maybe you think about the star trek films a little too much, Mike?

It was alright. I've seen worse, namely Nemesis.

Babylon 5 is better.

...

Vorlons did nothing wrong.

...

I fucking love the more obscure federation ship designs. Vulcan ships are pretty cool too, but they go too far with the ring motif. Klingon ships are kick-ass, but the long neck motif is a little goofy. I have a soft spot for Borg ships, just because spaceships really don't need to be aerodynamic. Romulan ships are shit. The Bajoran sail ship is cute. Cardassian war ships are tippity top tier. Somebody with more autism than me should post all the ships.

Just saw Beyond today. It was pretty shit.

Also, reminder Ubisoft is responsible for the next Star Trek game and it looks like a poor man's PULSAR.

I thought PULSAR was the poor man's PULSAR?

Alright, let's rephrase it, it's the "Venezuelan ghetto dweller's" PULSAR.

Not all the TMP films.

snore fest
it was alright until the time travel romance plot.
I like it well enough but it was basically a four part Series Finale in movie form.

Isn't PULSAR a poor mans Artemis?

Wow that is a lot of files, why are there so many Isos? What is the difference?

...

Fuck i need to go play more Star Trek Online now. We really need a fucking Fleet there so anons can get endgame ships.

Oh wait, the Valdore-class is the only decent one

It had tons of video before efficient compression or DVDs were common. It's also a great game once you've internalized the very complex controls. Basically Wing Commander: Star Trek Battleship Sim Edition.

Bitch, learn your Trek history. That design is a sweet throwback to a movie that didn't happen.

Although, I fully new admit the series might be end up a social justice shitfest.

God damn it I love me some Ralph McQuarrie (RIP in peace). What's with him and long necks on starships though?

kill yourself spoonhead

Furthermore from the trailer is sounds like the ship might have a cloaking device, that or it's going to be fighting a lot of Romulans and Klingons.

I see, I just don't want to make a mistake while downloading or using them. I guess I will figure it out later since I bookmarked it. I had the demo for the game once where you fought a romulan and then three gorn ships after that. It was pretty fun

Just the 6 CD isos.

makes sense i guess, the main reason the Fed doesn't use cloaking devices is because of the Romulan Treaty that prevents them from use

would you a klingon gril?

...

...

her voice makes her sound smaller than she looks, unless shes a midget

ENGAGE my boner

Ferengi Simulator.

STOs exchange is sometimes referred to as Ferengi PvP.

I might be bored enough to play STO.
I played it at launch and only lasted a day.

I like this retarded semi-canon TOS-era ship.

...

...

Breaks muh immeshuns.

It looks like shit. None of the elegant cruves of a federation ship from any era.
They should have thrown that thing out in the predesign stage and ripped off the only good looking fan production instead.

...

This is good compared to the usual star trek fan shit.

Rewatching DS9 now. I'm at Duet now, best episode of the series.

Dramatis Personae is fine too.

In the Pale Moonlight is god tier.

That's the one with "It's a faaaake" isn't it? Yeah it was nice too to finally see the Romulans not being the antagonist for once.

Yeah, that's the one. It's also an episode of Sisko not being shit, which is nice.

I consider killing Vrenak and tricking them into the war as revenge for all the times Romulans got away with killing humans in Next Generation. Remember when they tortured Geordi? Fuck Romulans.

...

Well, Romulans got what they deserved with the supernova at least.

What's the latest star trek series that can be considered a sequel? Voyager? It's not even like it would be particularly difficult to make another sequel series, since Voyager and DS9 both hinted at events to come. Plus there's the badass 29th century timeships. I'd be pretty alright with a time-travelling Star Trek series.

TBH I think this game looks pretty fun

Events after DS9 are chaotic enough to warrant a series. I would like it more than another prequel.

That and a Mirror Universe series would be pretty cool but since it is not 'nice' enough for our crazy times.

...

Meh

Back in my STO days when we would talk about ideas for series, one that would come up many times would be making a either a new version of DS9 set in the sto universe, or a series set around TNG/DS 9 timewise, but be focused on either a Klingon or Romulan ship.
The idea was to not only a new twist to the old idea, but an entirely new perspective in a way you can't really do in any other universe, since the various races in Trek have so much fluff, culture, language and so on that even non fans will get at least a part of, while giving a new perspective on the Federation and humanity (a classic in highbrow sci fi and a fair few trek episodes). This would also revitalise the stale old "crew gets to a new planet/spacial anomaly/whatever and poke it with a stick until something happens" formula many episodes follow, but inserting members of an alien species who have different ways of doing these things.

Make is so, number one.

Alternately, Star Trek 4X or grand strat.

Sauce?
I thought that was suppose to be Jeri Ryan or something.

Just got to Rivals.

What the fuck is this? Even TNG had better filler episodes.

In overall, DS9 fillers are better. Early TNGs are abysmal.

If it's part Klingon it makes sense.

There was an episode of TNG that addressed this. Turns out some ancient alien race went around and seeded life on all sorts of planets and shit.

So any anons got the latest PULSAR Lost Colony?

Been a while I looked up on the project. Same with the Mandate.

...

...

...

Anyone interested in Void Destroyer II?

I looks decent.

Fuck yah I remember that game, it had so many bugs though from what I played. I played the second one, was it better or worse than the first? Gorn best race, I will soak up damage and fuck you up from all directions

It is.

Time for some PULSAR gentlemen, I found a link I thought I lost

mega.nz/#!9ggGUSQI!yD5jUdx-yaDKGcBL40XJEshnd2MjjFCq833KESPZovw

Amateur.

Got a rundown of how to play?

Ugh, they want it to be one of those ten-a-penny "golden age of TV" shows.

As long as it doesn't linger for 20 seasons. 4 or 5 seasons is the sweetspot.

JUMP TO POINT
MAKE OTHER SPACE SHIP MAD
MELT DOWN REACTOR
BLOW UP
DO IT AGAIN

I was just gpoing to ask if anyone here played it.
I played a little and it seems to be a decent F2P MMO, the PvP and PvE queues seems to be dead at my level though.
We should make a fleet.

I used to play it before it went f2p or shortly after. I liked it.

That second image was surprisingly accurate, and funny enough the KDF were literally the Imperium of Man battling the forces of chaos throughout the galaxy; they even fight daemonic incursions in game! Each bit of story and lore they put up made you wonder why half of starfleet didn't switch sides and join up with the KDF since they proved to be right all along or at the very least have a Federation Civil War.

No. Fuck you. Time travel bullshit is the absolute worst thing in Star Trek.

Anyone got that Freespace user's artwork saved anywhere?

w1

Lets see if I can get this to work.

I think this is all he's done so far.

Those are pretty sweet.

Why must O'Brien suffer so much?

You can always find everything here: hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=91051.0

That's also where I stick anything that's not a finished drawing like sketches, timelapses, tech descriptions, etc.

Because he's Irish.

While theoretically f2p, the inflation on currency trades has been brutal over the 2 years I've played. I think the price on Dil > Zen has quadrupled, and since there's a cap on how much dil you can make in one day.
So to buy a t6 ship package you can expect to have to grind dil for half a year or more, or shell out IRL money.
On the plus side, free t6 ships are regularly given out in events. So if you are online at the right times, you can get a free endgame level ship. Just hope it's the kind of ship you want to fly, since the last free ship they give you from storyline is only t4.

The PvE queues where fine for the games standards of "fine" when I played, but even at their peak its usually only a few missions that people regularly play for marks. So look for the few missions people do play if you want to try out PvE. Most of the borg space missions where the ones that got grinded the most, as the one ground mission against those gate fuckers, since that set was the best at the time and the two space missions where shit to play through and slow as mollases to beat. And one was horrifically broken challenge wise, and thus nearly impossible to get a good score on, which seing as you get paid based on your score, means its a waste of time and effort.
Also, don't make your own little fleet, if you aren't going to be doing insane amounts of grinding. The whole point of fleets is to build up a starbase and unlock stores for end game tier ships and weapons, but this requires the kind of grinding and work that would take 50 people working their butts off for half a year or more, to get to. If you can't get that kind of resources, you won't get anything good from the fleet, and you'd be better off trying to join an established fleet that already has a full starbase.

All that shit is of course only relevant for endgame level play. Before that, the free stuff you get from the campaign will serve you just fine.

We already have a fleet.

Here's Cryptics own condensed version of their story, continued, rewritten and retconned several times over the years.

"I'm the best at everything and I'm never wrong, also when I disobey direct orders I face no punishment or repercussions because reasons." - The character
mfw people think Jazdia was better than Ezri

Because they are too lazy.

I'll buy everything being a humanoid from that, but laughter isn't even universally uniform on humans. I get it's for storytelling and dramatic convenience, but still.

There is also how everyone understand everyone else because of the 'universal translator', which can translate even jokes better than 8-4.

From my understanding everyone speaks their own language and the computer translate in real time.

Ezri was a hell of a lot more interestingly written than Jadzia. Doesn't hurt that she was much cuter.

Obviously Star Trek is filled with details that don't make sense on closer inspection. Aliens laughing is just one of the things that I can't help but find jarring. And it could be good place to show how alien the aliens actually are and conversely a way to show if an alien is familiarized with human culture.

I always thought Ezri was a /cute/boy?

Also the actress was actually able to fucking act. Terrible at crying, I suppose, but otherwise a massive improvement over Farrell.

I would have liked a series more centered on the Borg threat. Voyager was supposed to be that but clearly lost its way.

Tips on playing this? It's fun but quite more autistic than GalCiv or SotS.

Yeah the Cold war had a shitton of real wars.

Central and South America, bunch of wars in Asia, lots of shit happened in the Middle East, the whole of southern Africa was a playground for the CIA and KGB.

It was called a Cold war because WW3 didn't happen. Doesn't mean it was all quiet on the Western front.

Hey I finally got to testing this and I am getting some weird flickering. Where can I find some help for this. I tested it on windows vista have yet to test on linux or 7

Well shit.

Sounds like an issue I had, did you remember to install the Vista/Windows 7 fixes?

No, I hadn't yet. Did you fix it, if so what did you do?

Read me gives this link jiridvorak.webpark.cz/ka/
Download the dll drop into ka directory see if that solves your issue.

Yeah, it's just a pity she got blacked by Worf though, isn't it?

It's not allowing me to install the fixes for some reason

Nevermind I fixed it. I thought I had to click and install something. Nope it's as simple as downloading the patches and putting them into the folders with the execute files. I will be playing this tomorrow for sure. Maybe we can all set up a match together.

Is it just me or does VOIP not work?

I genuinely enjoyed Voyager.

It's better than the original series that's for sure

have republic government (war weariness resets with a new leader)
manually design everything
build resort bases constantly
constantly keep training infantry & armored troops for homeworld busting

Yeah, don't let her looks fool you. She was and always will be an indecisive heart breaker type, who then tries to hide behind 'but I didn't want to hurt anybody!'. I've seen her schtick before, she just changed scene but she can't change her spots.

LAAAAAAAUUUUUURRRAAAAA!

Man, Garak was great. I loved his shit.

Elite Force did such a good job of making you feel like you were actually a crew member on the ship. Is there anything else that captures that feeling? It doesn't have to be Star Trek.

I never played Elite Force. All I know is it was made Raven before they died. is it fun?

Yes; it's a must play for any Star Trek fan. Even if you don't like voyager it does such a good job of making you feel like an enlisted crewman confined to a ship surrounded by the void of space that it's the most immersive Star Trek game, if not the most immersive space set game I've ever played.

So…

Bajoran Kira, Cardassian Kira or lesbian ME Kira?

Cardassian, no question.
1. Bajorans are worthless trash as a species
2. Cardassians are more attractive
3. I want to give a Cardassian a facial and fill her forehead-spoon with my cum

You are a gentleman of taste and a scholar.

You also forgot how much emphasis Cardassians put on family. Cardassian bitches will take care of your kids.

Apparently the plan for the new show is that each season is its own contained story with its own ship and crew.

Each season will be a different era, ship, crew and plot.

Might be cool. I'll be keeping an eye on it at the very least. I just hope it isn't drama focused and actually does SCIENCE FICTION

That sounds interesting and a bad idea at same time?

While it might not allow the show to focus on specific crews (although specific crew members could undoubtedly make cameo appearances in different seasons) it could also allow the series to expand the lore in new ways and try new ideas that might be more difficult to do in other established series.

ALL HAIL J

What is that monstrosity?

It could go either way. Like most things it depends on the execution.

The Enterprise J from the 26th Century, as seen in Enterprise.

It's awful.
And looking it up, the designer is a complete retard.
memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/USS_Enterprise_(NCC-1701-J)#Speculations

Holy fuck, each bit I read just made things worse! Did nobody tell him to stop talking?

Where can I find this video?

J IS LOVE J IS LIFE

Jesus fuck.

Just fucking Jesus.

Two miles long.

Housing one million people.

In less than two square miles.

With freeways and parks and universities. So not cram-packed either, but with livable space akin to a town.

Pic related.

What are the good Star Trek games? Only one I've played is the Sega arcade game that was a cross-promotional tie-in to The Wrath of Khan.

I urge you to try out star trek online.
Now you can create a character who starts in the original series time and then gets temporally displaced.

Is it really that fucking hard to make a good-looking ship for this franchise?

By what i hear, they had only one day time to make that thing.
Explains quite a lot.

Sounds like a neat idea, but that is going to require a fuckton of preproduction work and design for every single season. As much as a whole new series.
That is not going to be easy, economically speaking.

It looks even uglier from the top!

Just hold on a moment and i go into one mission to grab a pic of it from directly front.

Burn it in fire!

Gaze upon it!

It looks like a retarded hue from the front!

Wew, glad I got off that ride after Midnight was released.

Scotty isn't an agent, he just sort of picked up a temporal thing Chekov dropped in the 23rd century. Dax is only mentioned and doesn't show up because nobody knows what the old man would look like in the 26th century.

And it turns out Starfleet owns the giant box warehouse from Indiana Jones and stuffs all sorts of shit in there, like the remains of the Borg Queen that Picard killed, Khan's Mein Kampf/Autobiography, the Genesis Device, one of the three swords S'harien made, an escape pod that contained Mirror Porthos, and a bunch of other dangerous shit they should not have.

I keep saying, Starfleet is the evil Empire trying to enslave the galaxy!

Most of the stuff is Section 31 related come to think of it, so it is probably less a Starfleet warehouse and more a Section 31 warehouse.

...

That sounds nice, but I'm not a fan of MMOs. Will I be lost if I've never played anything like Ultima Online or Vanilla WoW before?

not really no, the gameplay is different enough, plus there is a ton of customization, even more options for alien captains/bridge officers.

This is one of the reasons I stopped playing, the 3rd person overscaling was totally over the top.

I must say in their defense that they did some pretty decent job with the TOS bridge.
Too bad the main view screen is actually a window without glass.

are there any stargate games that i must missed?

There are Stargate games? :^)

There are a few, most are either cancelled/shutdown, or mobile games.

There used to be a huge Stargate addon for Gmod, but Garry broke it with a game update.

Sadly I didn't check everything before I completed that mission.

Only one I know of.

Coincidentally I started working on a custom map for Star Trek Voyager Elite Force

I disliked that too, also we couldn't have human only crews.

You can if you want. You'll just have to make sure and go get a new officer yourself. Just don't rely on mission rewards.

I think he means inside the ship.
Like, every time you go into ship interiors there is always random aliens and humans mixed as your crewmembers.

It's part of the setting that all of the races in the Federation work together and are equals among another.

What if i want to (role)play as a glorious Terran Imperial captain?

...

In best Star Treks it was always a 99% human crew and one token alien to provide a different perspective.

I remember reading both Michael Dorn and Brett Spiner would spend literal hours before each show getting their makeup applied and they'd have to get it taken off later. The same with Armin Shimerman with Quark.

That's okay, there's way more potential things that you might find in there than the mission can show at once.

The lighting looks like absolute shit.

Tfw we will never see Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2 remastered on Steam

Cheers.

God bless that Beagle.

And the gameplay for the engineer and tactical officers looks like an obnoxious energy redistribution minigame.

The fundamental idea isn't shit. But there's a reason you won't find many games that require 4 guys to man one tank, since the commander of the tank won't actually get to do anything and the loader just has a point and click adventure where every solution is a matter of using the right shell on the cannon. Its a job so simple it could be automated and is mostly kept IRL, because the tankcrew is responsible for maintaining their own tank, and the loader is there as the engineer and mechanic.
For a starship game, the idea of being the cheif engineer sounds neat, but in practice there's no way to do that without crippling everything else the ship can do any time its hit, and everything he could possibly do would just boil down to "go to damaged bit, play FixIt minigame, go to next damaged bit, play FixIt minigame" ad nauseum.
Maybe if you had the chief engineer mainly just dispatch damage control parties around the ship as it gets shot to hell and do shit like locking down bulkheads to contain fires and such you could have him do something as the battle is going on, but thats hardly the starfleet way.

Also for the record, Elite Force was shit. It was just a quake 2 clone where next to none of your weapons and enemies had anything to do with the trek universe. And don't even get me started on the number of times your comrades would randomly turn hostile and gun you down, and you can't shoot back because if they die, you fail the mission, and if you run, you still get an automatic mission failed. And apparently the Delta Quardrant in the game is full of mirror universe terrans and klingons for some reason.

Star Trek Away Team did it better, as a Commando's clone set in trek giving the player a set of Section 31 style feddie commando's who have to sneak around and do covert shit.

Set phasers to kill me.

Everything having to do with the Delta Quadrant is shit, mainly because of Voyager.

...

This is explained in the game that you obviously didn't finish, or rather couldn't.

Git gud scrub.

I forgot about that abomination,

Life is suffering.

I fought the big super cockroach and I still don't buy the games asspull for why an enemy who draws in enemies from across the galaxy would end up with 90% guys from the alpha quardrant, let alone a hefty supply of 200 year old guys from said quardrants alternate reality.
Maybe if you fuckers took those rosetinted nostalgia glasses off and actually tried to play it again you'd realise what a steaming pile of manure the entire thing is.

Turks?

Also:

Considering what the Federation Empire does in game it seems like you are.

Are you excited for the upcoming movie trilogy that will reboot the series?

STO had some weird ways to show the Federation.

Huh, I would imagine that's pretty rare. Good luck.

Mirror Porthos was a Rottweiler.
the dog used to portray him was also "a bigger baby" than regular Porthos

I sure hope next winter event in STO adds the concept Breen warship as a reward, maybe as a science ship which we have not had as a holiday reward yet.

We got a science vessel last febuary though. How about a nice tacticool carrier thing or a new set of frigates that can double as carrier spawns instead, since they have none that are t6.

And it has carried over to the admiralty system…

What, you can't let the bloody klinks have ALL the fun jobs to themselves…

New thread when?
