We need to talk about something.

It's clear people are losing interest, and before long we'll be dead in the water. Nomination has gotten slower and slower, and activity in the threads has steadily decreased. Even though we've given the threads a break since last summer, we're still declining. It's a Friday night, we should be breaking the fucking site with how many people are spamming the thread. Instead, interest is at an all-time low. The problem's clear to see: we're blowing our load too often. If we do this every weekend nonstop, what does any of it even matter?

I think soon, we need a climactic 'Final Battle' consisting only of REALLY important characters. Classic staples like Bane & CIA, all the board-tans, a couple 2hus and Neps, Moonman, EBGames Kid, TR-8R, and so on. Throw in a bunch of main characters from beloved games and series, and we've got a serious event on our hands. With 48 slots we'd surely be able to fit everyone important, so that's not an issue. We'd need an entire thread just to set up this special 'Final Battle', but it would be really fucking climactic. Entertainment, screencaps and general OC abound. We could even do a few 'cooldown/fuckaround' matches in the same thread when we're done.

Maybe it doesn't really have to be the 'Final' battle. Maybe we could repeat it every other month or so. But I'm tired of individual matches not meaning anything, and I think it would mean a better future for these threads. What do you think?
