Alright, except for social woes that I need to vent on. So I have this online friend. He's great, he's exceptionally friendly, patient, caring, a pleasure to talk to about anything, knows his memes, etc. I can talk about anything with him that I couldn't with anyone else, no matter how personal, and he's given advice which my clinically autistic ass has needed. I've known him for three years now and it's been an absolute pleasure.
One night we end up talking about Trump (we both like him) and I tell him about how my very liberal father acted when I defended (not even endorsed) him on a family night out. He misreads the signal as me wanting to talk about daddy issues (he has them too, much worse than me) and I don't realise until later that's the approach, but I don't mind that much until he implies I haven't gotten over mine unlike him, at which point I just say it. He gets madder than I've ever seen him. I try to say it's okay and we can just let go, but he stays livid at how I handled it.
I went to sleep right after since I was feeling wrecked as it was, and apologised for my part in what went wrong. He gave no response. He hasn't given a response to any of my attempts to start conversation since. In three days' time, it will have been a month since he's said anything to me.
If I have to lose a friend, that's okay, I'm a big boy. But not like this. This is way too small a thing to kill a friendship like this over. Not like this.

I'm just having a rough day, and the culmination of factors not in my favor has made it hard to keep myself calm. You shoot down giant ants, spiders, and robots with increasingly strong weapons alongside your fellow humans. Oh yeah, and you eventually get in a mech to bring down kaiju.
The campaign is broken up into a shitload of missions (i think it's near 100), majority of which are fun to replay. This helps, because you can grind for weapon drops to help you fight (the grinding is minimal, though). It also transfers online mode, which is just playing the same campaign missions but with humans. There are 4 player classes, all of which play differently and have their own weapons. 5 difficulties available at the start (really only 4 because 'easy' is pleb-tier).
A no-bullshit game that heavily focuses on gameplay first. The story is so cheesy you can taste it, and it's really just dialogue that acts as background noise during fights

Think Starship Troopers, mixed with similar combat of Serious Sam plus the over-the-top destruction of Just Cause 2, then made by Japanese people.

It's a hell of a lot better than assembly. Scheme or Python are better introductions to programming, but you sound like you're doing well. Good luck
