They know what a threat Kurdistan would be to them, dipshit.

BASED

Israel has pursued alliances with the Kurds for decades, always with lackluster results

Turkey has an internal guerrilla problem of Kurds and the Kurds in the Syria are smuggling weapons to the Kurds in Turkey. There's a low level war in Turkey involving the Kurds. If you think the death toll is high in France from terrorism it's even higher in Turkey. Well over a thousand deaths every year involving the Kurdish guerrillas.

Also probably a land grab. Turkey has been grabbing up Syrian land since the conflict started.

wat's an allepo?

I think this is 100% spot on.

The Turks likely realized the FSA rebels were as good as dead and are making a final push to contain the Kurds and prevent the cantons from being connected

IMO the opportunity to balkanize Syria has largely passed, there might be a rebel insurgency after the war but a enlarged Shiite crescent and Iranian influence over Syria is guaranteed at this point

Proof?
The turks might do that but I don't think the Syrian gov will attack Afrin anytime soon.

It's not hard to grasp. The question is how long it will take for turkey to restart their attacks on syria.

The kurds were shilling for saudi the otherday too

This. It's inevitable though IMO, for better or worse the west supports the Kurds and some European countries already have diplomatic relations (even embassies) with iirc Iraqi Kurdistan.

When it comes to Kurds I would support their nationalistic ambitions but they're literal islamic gommunists.

What a shit thread. Small skirmishes between Turks, Kurds, and Assad are commonplace. Make a thread after any of them actually launch a serious offensive

The kurds did a shitty mistake in partnering with the saudis, went even so far as to criticize the SAA and Iran after all they did for them in afrin and manbij, just to get on their good side, and end up getting embargoed by basically everyone.
In short, SAA attacking Afrin is disinfo shit but the turks planning an attack on Afrin is not, however Damascus isn't gonna just let the turks go in and occupy Syrian land with their pkk excuse, but they're not gonna help the kurds either.

Learn to research niggers, especially you OP your post reeks of reactionary bullshit that can be used by shills to spread lies and deceit

It would be very well in Assad's incentive to attack Afrin if he doesn't want roaches deeper in his country. Same reason he cockblocked them against ISIS after they took Al Bab. If he takes Turd territory, roaches won't be able to.

Damascus can't afford to have another wide front right now, if you think of it carefully. Let the kurds do their thing as long as they don't cross the red line. The Russians (and Iran) will make sure that doesn't happen, hopefully the ((((sdf)))) won't be doing shit they're not supposed to, all just to buddy up with the wahhabis (saudis), I mean, the kurds and their friends can't be THAT stupid, right?

Turkey is joining team eurasia

SAA's wide front can be taken care of if they take control of the Ithriyah-Resafa road.

It's normal for Assad to try to avoid having to give half of his country to the kurds.

pick only one.

This is a good post.

You make a very convincing argument, I'm sold.

still an improvement upon islamic jihadists.

Nope, at least Islamic Jihadists are a common enemy that is nearly universally despised by all factions whereas the K*rds are traitorous scum that are more of a threat than any other opponent of Assad currently as they try and appeal to muh western values

To be expected of ZOGlings. Any ally of America needs to be exterminated.

Welp, there goes ZogSA's backup plan.

(((chemical weapon))) imminent

Syria and Iran maybe able to settle this; Turkey cannot though. I was joking a bit about the Greater Israel thing, I'm not a 100% believer in it owing to

Back to the Kurdish thing, Syria doesn't have that much of a Kurdish border population anyway, as compared to Iraq, Turkey, or even Iran. Kurds don't have much issue with Iran, and tend to see themselves as ethnically and historically linked to Persians, they also don't consider the Kurdish minorities there to be abused. All this together could probably see Iran-Syria and the Kurds come to some sort of agreement or at least a truce. Then the Kurds can focus on Turkey, which is again good for both parties; Kurds have fewer enemies at the moment and Iran and Syria can keep Turkey occupied or weaken them

Actually they do, most Iranian Kurds are Sunnis and they have been the cause of an insurgency that is at least as serious as the Kurdish problem in Turkey, all of the recent ISIS attackers in Iran were Kurds.
Actually they have been getting uppity and whining about this lately, they also want Kurdish autonomy and Kurmanji to be the official language of Iranian Kurdistan instead of Persian. They also announced resuming "armed resistance" against the Iranian government again this year for those reasons.

The Kurds focusing on the Turks instead of the SAA or Iran would be the most ideal scenario but that simply isnt realistic, the Kurds are opportunist mountain roaches that will attack wherever security is the weakest at any time with no discretion as to which country they are stealing land from.
Saddam had pretty much the only realistic long term solution of how to deal with the Kurds and even he didn't go far enough.

last year actually

They frequently launch attacks on the Iranian government and military, also 5-6 months ago IIRC the Iranian military threatened to launch a full crackdown and enforce curfews/traffic searches

Clearly the Kurds are an Arabia/Israeli proxy.

Also this.
Cue the false flag.

Sunnis are important here. Remember, the Al Wahhabi are proxy jews.
