Casualties were compiled based on census records before the war and after. Those that immigrated would be counted as killed. So the entire nation of Israel gets counted as victims of the holocaust. Immigration to the US gets counted as genocide. There are instances where recorded victims turned out to be alive years later.
Russians rounding up jews to use as cannon fodder gets counted in the holocaust numbers. Russian failure to feed it's own population gets counted in the genocide. Starvation, and disease in any city in Europe gets counted as genocide.
Then you get into actual culpability like deaths due to starvation and disease in actual German camps. 6 million was the number given to gain sympathy to establish Israel.

Just hopping in here to encourage all of us to be totally familiar with this information. When you're arguing with the consensus, your opponent can fall back on what "everybody knows" and how "utterly ludicrous" your "distortion of history" is. The only answer to that is a calm, controlled, point-by-point refutation, combined with an equally calm alternate explanation of why everybody is wrong.

Essentially, it's a case of duelling narratives. (((their))) narrative is wicked antisemites, primed by centuries of Christianity, cruelly murdered 6 million innocent Jews for no reason other than irrational hatred. Our narrative is that Jews were a problem for Germany, for variou reasons, and so – yes – the Nazis were antisemites. They expressed this by turning Jews out of government and encouraging emigration, but no other country wanted them. Later, in the depths of the war's most desperate phase, quite a few deliberate murders were committed, but A) Almost everybody was a target; this isn't a Jewish thing, B) Numbers are criminally inflated by counting virtually everybody who died (and a lot who didn't) as victims, C) Short shrift is given to the 12 million Germans uprooted and starved, murdered, etc. by the victorious Allies who, D) Wrote the fucking books after the war.

I think most of the effort in Holohoax refutation needs to be centered on breaking the Schindler's List narrative, either by pointing out how few Jews actually seemed to have died, or by driving home how everybody was dying in the most deadly area in humanity's most deadly war. I also like to work in the various Nazi brutes who got their asses arrested for unnecessary cruelty to Jews, as well as a scene-by-scene look at all the made-up bullshit in movies (like the infamous balcony scene from Schindler's List). When normie fucks start accepting that Hollywood kikes have been lying to them about picaresque details like those, the whole narrative is brought into question.

But you have to have the facts at your fingertips. Otherwise, your interlocutor reaches for the skinhead neo-Nazi stereotype the Jews have thoughtfully crafted for them.

Your welcome user. Like said so well, they can always fall back on "everybody knows", so do not argue assertions you cannot back up with facts. Before you argue a point (the Holocaust didn't happen) you must have complete knowledge of your subject and be able to construct a well presented and cohesive narrative. The document I gave you, along with a handful of documentaries on youtube (The Greatest Story Never Told, 1/3rd of the Holocaust and others) will help too.

Until then, arguing without knowing precisly what weaknesses in the narrative you want to attack is hurtful to the truth. When you fail, you cement in your opponents mind that "deniers" are full of shit, and making things up.

In my experience, if you are able to explain the situation of Germany during the first half of the 20th century, followed by a succinct list of reasons why the Lolocaust is Soviet/Zionist propaganda, they won't even ask aboutr sources because what you say makes too much sense. You should include the obvious falacies in the narrative. Examples:

1) Is it a coincidence that of the 19 camps the germans had, the 6 that were claimed at Nuremburg to be death camps happen to be the 6 that were liberated by the Soviets, and spent 50 years behind the Berlin wall?
