Czech here, can confirm, my mom got a permit recently and now goes to the shooting range regularly (she got it all specifically to protect herself against any possible future rapefugee influx). There's a fair bit of paperwork involved since you need to know a lot about guns and even more about gun laws in order to be granted a permit. Think of it like a series of school exams, since that's basically how the whole thing is handled.

Despite these liberal gun laws, I don't recall there ever being a case of a public shooting here in modern history, violent crime is extremely low (IIRC Czech republic is generally considered to be one of the safest countries in the world, and rightfully so. Nobody fears going out after dark, children are free to run about without constant parent supervision, etc.). Tell that to a libshit gun grabber next time he tries to claim the cause of violent crime in the US is the abundance of guns
