What exactly are pagan values? Doesn't the word "pagan" just mean "non-Christian"?

What even are Pagan values?

So like the Thor movies then.

Pagan mean original national religions. Japanese Pagans are Shintoists. Jewish pagans are Jews. Indian pagans are Hindus.

Basically, non-pagans are Christians, Muslims, and Buddhists. Also Mithraists, Zoroastrians, and Bahaiists. These are all international cults.

...

This has always amused me about pagan and christian shitfests, it's obvious no one knows what they're doing if they're pagan but christians always mix in self-damning information and dishonesty while trying to criticize pagans.

Why would you try to establish christianity as an ancestral religion when all of the ancestors would have had to convert or be forcibly converted? That defeats the idea that it's an ancestral religion. Why would you admit that christianity absorbed pagan rituals when that in itself means those rituals are no longer pagan - the ritual does not make it pagan once the meaning is replaced. This is all too funny and ridiculous for christians to keep spreading this level of dishonesty like they expect no one to know better.

so regional shamanic rituals and animal sacrifices? what exactly is the value in any of this?

Pagan values depend on the religion as mentioned. The bulk of european paganism has been burned and destroyed and sometimes literally built on top of. The most likely accurate picture of european pagnism is that it was almost analogous to superhero worship and an excuse to have community festivals. This in effect means that european paganism is an opt-in religion which is stark contrast to the compulsory worship required by abrahamic religions (the big three: jews, christians, muslims).

If you insist on pretending you believe in magical wish fulfillment, might as well elevate your own culture instead of continuing to spread semitic desert fairy tales and the including slave morals.

Nice false equivalency amerimutt.

the argument put forward by St. Paul, is that all the religions of man have gotten a glimpse of the one true God, but never really received it outside of Jesus Christ and the original Israelites. ergo, though most paganist mythos conceive of a major king in heaven, it is all diluted with misunderstanding of heaven and the nature of angels (esp. fallen angels).

God tested Abraham with the call to sacrifice his own son, but the truth was, is God has never called on any man to sacrifice his own son for repentance of sin. God sacrifice His own only Son for our sakes.

aka it means nothing, and has literally no advanced theological or philosophical implications. paganism is usually for people who "do what thou wilt", or following a priest/witch-doctor figure.

Your soul is at risk, be wary.

...

We're all equal in the eyes of God, sorry mate.

I'd rather not end up in the realm of a Semitic god, they're known to be cunts.

You're gonna end up in hell, with the lost and the damned. And for what? There are no other gods, there was never more than one.

But where will you end up?

I found it fascinating that actual people (not you, baiter, obviously) not only believe in the unprovable existence of supernatural, but also posit that the beliefs they received from their cultural context are the correct ones, despite that being ridiculously egocentric in addition to the ridiculous anthropocentrism of almost all widespread religions.

hothweels saw the light and converted to Christianity now

(((St. Paul is jewish))) and was brought in because he was good at subversive tactics. His argument is second-hand interpretation to justify the christian directive to dominate religion.

That's the point. Philosophy can be and is demonstrated to be better in the hands of experts with refined reasoning skills such as the greeks. When christianity became the dominant influence in europe, its clergy absorbed greek works so as to put on the facade that those were always christian thoughts. Its theological foundation is built off of stolen stories from other cultures which is what its predecessor, the jews, did with their religion.

Abrahamic religions absorb and rebrand neighboring religions and cultural religion to claim it as its own and then once there's nothing left, people assume it originated from there. It is the progenitor of intellectual dishonesty.

...

Jews original religion of Judaism is considered pagan? But the Jewish religion spread though. Not as much as Christianity and Islam but still.

Shit nigger if I knew that I wouldn't be here now would I.

Modern Euro-Christian values are basically 75% Pagan and 25% Christian.

So the Sacrifice scene in Indian Jones and the Temple of Death makes the movie a film with pagan values?

Well basically it was based off the Thuggee cult. It wasn't an accurate portrayal of the Thuggee so the Indians got pissed about the film. Still a badass film though I don't get why it gets the hate it does.

Agreed, it was a great movie.

there is a thing called Hebrew Paganism, referring to the religion the Hebrews supposedly practised before they started worshipping YHWH

there is a small community of these in Israel, mostly edgy youths who are doing it as a fuck you to their traditionally Jewish parents

You mean human sacrifices?

Sounds like the ultimate nazi religion. Where do I sign up?

try Israel, I guess

Ok, back to actual truth for those inclined to know more.

1. Gods of antiquity were more like supermen than omnipotent universe-spanning beings. That is an oriental idea that was later introduced through Plato and middleeastern cults.

2. Christianity mocks this notion: lel how can zeus buttfuck geese, that's not what a gawd would do! Missing the point that any supermen is more probable and realistic, than an omnipotent being that can never be seen. It's highly probable that gods were the memory of ancient travelers from civilized lands, who brought technology to cavemen.

3. Gods were both national and international: you would accept that several gods existed, but every city would have a main protector. Just like saints within the catholic church.

4. Jews did not believe in a single god, they just worshipped a single one: theirs. The ancient testament forbids the worship of other gods, but never mentions them not actually existing. The jewish god wasn't even named Yahwe: his name was literally "god of israel" and thought to be walking the land, just like any other pagan god who either feasted on Mt. Olympus or traveled the northern roads like Odin. In the end, a people who worships a nationalistic god is doing nothing else but worshipping themselves.

Interesting never heard of it. Is it like they worship Baal and the Canaanite gods?

Interesting. Thanks for the info user.

It's important to note that Jewish monotheism developed differently than philosophical monotheism, which typically is build around everything having one source, which lead to attributing other gods as aspects of one primary god (examples are monotheistic hinduism and Egyptian religion at some points). The kike god on the other hand is just escalation of the "my god is stronger than your god" shitflinging, as such Abrahamic religion is devoid of indigenous philosophical value and only received some by stealing ideas of others.

Today, I will remind them.

lel

Most Christians on this website aren't Catholic, though.

scientists already proved god isn real and religion is for cucks. fucking grow up people, gawd

Remind me how you're different from marxists again… The church of sweden, the even cuckier church of england… aren't catholic

Now hold on there. Zoroastrianism wasn't bad m80, and it still isn't.

The problem you're trying to address is known as Abrahamism - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

...

I'm an atheist u fag
Don't make me attack you with my ass bananas

Christians and catholics recycle the "not true christianity/catholicism" apologia just as much as communists do. Communism has many ideological similarities to christianity. Really makes you think.

I mean, you have a good point. Zoroastrian temples and shrines were open for every faith to pray in, and that kind of openness allowed Persia to study other peoples' practices, beliefs, and ideas and therefore to advance more quickly.

yes, I'm sure all five followers of Zoroaster are doing just fine

Ye nah. The religion is seeing a comeback in Iran. The younger generation is tired of Islamic subjugation.

Umm Mithraism was based dumbass

how? leaving islam is punishable by death over there

The first toddler step is to don a fedora and abandon the false religion. The next is to shave your neckbeard, throw out the fedora, and embrace ancestral faiths.

Then you stop LARPing and become theosophist

Hmm, I can unite with christfags there - they burn you at the stake and we throw the body in the bog. Fuck off.

yeah m8

I'm okay with Fedora-ism as a temporary growing pain.

So you know absolutely nothing about it.

After regaining religiosity, the choice is yours - except Abrahamic faiths with zero-sum Evangelism. Those are an existential threat to everything else.

I sure hope so. It's absurd Persia has to still suffer from islam after so many centuries of coming up/adopting new absolutely heretical branches to use for rebeling against the rampaging muslim overlords.

So it's capeshit the religion, we knew that already.

Except that the creation of the universe necessitates an omnipotent God (the prime mover argument)

Here is the problem, worshipping values of your current society rather than eternal values.

Communism and Marxism were enemies of religion though. They killed upwards of ten million Christians just for the sake of it. Just because Christianity is currently subverted by certain sects doesn't mean it always was.

I'm convinced norse pagans don't understand religion, if you are looking for ultimate truth why would you invite everybody to confuse your values. Unless you are just larping of course.

Also most of the covenants that the jews entered into were nullified by the death of Jesus. Judaism as it's practiced today died the minute Jesus was crucified. Not that hard to understand.

Theosophy is NWO one world religion shit.

But that's just your opinion

it's also the correct one and why Jews today are the greatest traitors to their God.

That's right user. The Based Jews who made up the religion did it for the benefit of us all. They were somehow inexplicably the only ones that new G-d's plan and his only son was fated to die in an ultra specific way, ironically like a criminal, so any traitors and law enforcement involved are not to blame - but they went to hell anyway.

Well, that is not always the case. The churches in Latin America are very much left-wing and pro-socialist, the communist leaders there, even in Cuba, were friends with the pope, and gifted each other "hammer and sickle crucifixes".

You're falling for the meme that there was no religiosity before christianity, when in fact our ancestors knew about God, before the systematic efforts by the (((shadowy elites))) behind christianity to burn that knowledge and keep it to themselves. Many in the ancient religions were "occultists" by their standards, nowadays only very few elites, that is why they took such efforts - the pope, wearing saturn hats and decorating Rome with Obelisks, believes something much different than what he preaches to his flock of "sheep"…

In the end, the problem between christians and jews is just to determine who is applying the jewish tradition correctly.

Just because you invite them, doesn't mean you believe what they say. Non-autistic people can accept there are things they don't know, there are truths undiscovered and uncertain, and just roll with it. Monotheism is pure autistic need to believe there is nothing unknown and scary out there.

Jewish tradition died on the cross, and any who kept up with it are just traitors to God.

there was a good reason it was the Romans who ended up killing Jesus and then being forgiven, and it wasn't because God still favoured the Jews.

What's your stance on circumcision?

...

but thats just you saying the old jewish tradition is improper and not the true jewish tradition anymore. Yes "muh pharisees" and sheit, but you're just another form of their "priesthood"…

heretical

There is nothing good about any sort of jewish tradition aside from cleanliness which is just basic civility.

It is no surprise that western civilization based upon old Roman and Greek values have succeeded so well while there has only been one Jewish state since the Romans. incidentally set up by said Western Civilizations.

Except it isn't. The Old Covenant was for jews as a nation and a physical people. The New Covenant was a spiritual one not just for ethnic jews but for everybody. The Old Covenant ended and The New Covenant began when Jesus finished his work. This is why conversion to Christianity is incredibly simple but conversion to Judaism is nigh impossible.

If you were going to write a book to justify the killing of a dissident like Jesus, why would you write about all the virtuous and miraculous things he did? And propel him into martyrdom? Fucking idiot.

I have no doubt Judaism, Islam and Catholicism have roots in Satanism.

We don't need to accept all your OC gods to listen to alternative viewpoints. I know for a fact that swanfucker and pals aren't real.

This is one of those 'gotcha' lines except circumcision was one of the covenants that ended with Jesus. As was the command against mixing fabrics and eating seafood.

You're glancing over the most damning details. Why was he supposed to die in that ultra specific way at the expense of fellow god's children? Why did it have to be the romans that are made into the bad guys alongside the jews. Even up to Revelations, Rome is portrayed as a target.

There are no official records of Jesus. The only primary source comes from a jewish historian that even in his day was known to be a fraud. The early church founders had an in-house historian that used that jew historian as a source. Jesus' story itself is not original. Similar to the old testament, the jews constantly used neighboring religions as the basis for their religion's stories. Jesus is just their take on the Sun God story but with a messianic twist, as the original christians were one of many messiah cults from around that time.

Next time you want to shovel christian apologism when you're not on /christian/, do some research.

I know for a fact that the false (((God))) of Abraham is real, and that he's a Jewish demon.

every tiem

Muslims propose the same thing by saying that everyone are born muslim but then got corrupted by the influence of Jews, Christians, atheists etc.

This
Christianity is ancient globalism.

Then
Now

Same strain of thought.

go read a fucking book on the medieval ages you cock holster. it was more about trying to find some common ground so that Europeans didn't try to murder eachother all of the time, rather they did so when they got really pissed enough.

He would probably find out about the Dark Ages and how hordes of hebrews, arabs and copts swarmed out of the desert to deliberately destroy every trace of european culture - to even find the remains of the ancient world, we have to go to ruined places like Pompei - or also about the endless infighting among christians, wiping out entire sects of their "brothers" due to differences in religious interpretations - Cathars killed to the last man, Constantinople sacked during the crusades, enabling the rise of the Ottoman Empire, the Thirty Years War alone killing half of the german population. But hey, maybe there was some glimpse of truth to it, when they had open satanism under the guise of christianity, as with the vatican, the 666 snake temples of celtic christianity or the Templars burning at the stake.

Shut the fuck up, christcuck, talking about history, there was a reason the elites behind christianity had to set up inquisitions and even fake religious wars to curb the renaissance and the rediscovery of pagan ideas, the moment that elite focused elsewhere, christianity dwindled like it is nowadays. Enjoy your empty churches in Europe, I even saw some swedish magazine showcasing how people were buying old churches to make homes - and the picture was clearly a jewish house, the owners making the holiest as a latrine - they weren't executed by mobs of christians, their deeds was showcased by trendy rootless ex-christian in magazines… fucking cucks

not opt in user whatever town you lived in would have a special god from the Pantheon that you had to pay homage to ,

Then Zoroastrianism would not be for the Iranians since they all got
ARABED

The so-called dark ages are a complete myth and progress, from both cultural and scientific standpoints, was very high in Europe during that period. You discredit yourself by using it as a point against Christianity.
You're also acting as if Europeans fighting amongst themselves is some sort of new revelation that never happened before the widespread adoption of Christianity. Religion has nothing to do with that, it's just part of human nature and would've happened regardless of Christianity's spread. Unless you also going to blame Roman polytheism for Caesar's conquests of Gaul and Britannia, in which case whatever.

Are you American by any chance?

He's Icelandic you dumb amerimutt.

Americans are taught that the McDonaldian forces were sent to defeat the Burger King at White Castle and retrieve the holy Taco Bell.
