Can we have pan-Europeanism too?
would it not be wonderful if organizations like EU, AL and AU finally brought end to nation states as we know it?

What do you guys think of the SSNP? They reject the concept of Pan Arabism in favor of a Levantine Nationalism but they are similar to Arab socialist movements such as Ba'athism, if more radical and further to the left.

Pan-Arabism and Pan-Syrianism are nothing but bourgeois nationalism.

Arab "Socialism" isn't socialist.

Ba'athism is a regional brand of Fascism.

Correct
Correct
Not really

Mixed feelings. Originally they were enemies of the communists, but since the sixties they've been pretty lefty.
5/10, could use some improvement

meh we tried.

islam, colonialism, and being skeptical of russia/leftism made us fail.

we coulda had a ussr the size of the entire middle east if we weren't so stupid

Maybe stating it is nothing but a "regional brand" of Fascism was going a bit too far, but I'd still argue there are many similarities between Fascism and Ba'athism.

don't get your hopes up nazbol they are fake nazis, really just secular arab social democrats.

pic related, the real heroes of the levant

I'm not sure I understand what's going on in this pic. Is the flag of the Hezbollah a sign of public support for an ally or a token of military victory over an enemy?

Sana'a Mehaidli (Arabic: ‎‎; August 14, 1968 - April 9, 1985)[1] was a Christian member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party who, at the age of 16, blew herself and a Peugeot filled with explosives up next to an Israeli convoy in Jezzine, Lebanon, during the Israeli occupation of South Lebanon. Two Israeli soldiers were killed and twelve were injured.

Sana'a Mehaidli was born in the village of Anqoun, near Sidon, in Lebanon. She has four brothers and one sister. She worked at a video store, where she later recorded her will. In early 1985, she joined the Syrian Social Nationalist Party that was affiliated with the Lebanese National Resistance Front.

She is believed to have been the first female suicide bomber. She is known as "the Bride of the South".

support obviously

wow i never knew that nice!

Bashir isn't a Baathist. He is in bed with Saudis.

All of them are nothing but political pawns and soc"dem" Dictators and has nothing to do with socialism

this. in the end the goal is full communism. so ba'athism is no where near as cool as you guys think it is. it's a good force against islamist reactionariesm (because its a unifying secular and socialist force) but still its very flawed.

i just post with this flag cause palestinian cause

Honestly, I would expect secular social-democrats to know better than to support theocratic Islamists.

Ba'athism is not socialist.

it's literally arab socialism

ba'athists just started sucking at following their own ideology

...

Very spicy falsches Bewusstsein there, friends.

they are genuinly the leftists of the middle east, they might not be as left as me or you but trust me i'm an arab the right and left divide over there is very very different than it is here.

State intervention the economy is not socialism. Ba'athists are secular modernizers, but they certainly don't care about communism. As far as I know, social ownership of the means of production was never a core tenet (if at all) of Arab "socialism".

This. Aside from nationalization of a few key industries (usually oil), it was just regulated markets as usual. Standard SocDem fair while trying extra hard to appeal to both left (through the social programs/utilities/secularization) and the right (nationalism) for legitimacy.

the name of this traschan is ideology
