But generally the vector based editors (I think the adobe version is Illustrator, I'm a Linux freetard) usually have a lot better tools for dealing with vector shapes. I know Photoshop can do it, but it's lacking a lot of stuff Illustrator and Inkscape have.

I've never used Krita because I can get by with GIMP and Inkscape. From what I understand, Krita is really good for more painting and art kind of stuff. I think the open source image editors break down like this

GIMP: photo and image editing
Inkscape: content creation like web design mock ups, infographics, logos, etc
Krita: Painting, creating cartoons, drawings, naughty pictures for weebs

This. It's a pain to use. I had an advantage because I was used to doing 3d modelling, and vectors are really just 2d modelling. The learning curve is worth it though. being able to do simple things like just align objects, or edit the shape of things, makes life so much easier for making content.

I do think vector editors are the best for making things like infographics. But it's a lot more difficult than GIMP or PS. I think if people are thinking about getting into making OC, they have to decide what type of OC they want to focus on. I'd say
GIMP/Photoshop: edits of things like comics

We're in sort of a lull with games. E3 and back to school are big pushes, but this whole time is just sort of ignored. We should be helping smaller devs and smaller sites right now. It's a prime time to start promoting the devs who have supported us and have smaller games that don't get the attention they deserve.

There were always several factions. Revolt was created by the purge, but it was created by the same people who tried to make sure that acid didn't get control of the main gamergate board after the previous board failed. Mainly because he's rogue and not involved in the cliques they were involved in. And them not having control of a gamergate board was a problem for them.

There was always infighting, it's just that it stewed and grew more and more over time. And then people got burnt out and shifted more into destroying, specially when they realized their faction was losing and they couldn't achieve their objectives.

So I was to keep it alive and active at all costs? Revolt couldn't even keep their board alive by turning it into a shill-infested troll haven that practically allowed everything short of CP, and spamming it all over Holla Forums and Twitter. We outlasted every competitor board in our history and kept true to the board's purpose. it's good content but it's slow. It's a problem a lot of rebuild sites face. They don't have the staff to keep things flowing as fast as the larger sites.

We should be posting these sites on places like voat and other subreddits. Maybe even gamesense since it has a news thing too. But we should be pushing these sites on those types of places. The people who run the rebuild sites have a lot more important things to do than shill for it all the time. They're a lot more resource limited than the bigger sites. They barely make a profit or run at a loss. The other ones are usually backed by major businesses. But if we get good news feeds set up of alternate sites, you can just look at the aggregator and get all those sites at a faster pace than looking at each site. That way you don't keep doing things like where you go there and end up disappointed. You get to see all the sites a lot faster.

They need our help, and we have to keep it as a grassroots thing.

Much like how the media decided to build a narrative blaming #GG harassment, the militias and gun rights supporters were blamed for OKC and American violence in general. After a half a year of this, many militias either broke up or went underground because people were too afraid to speak up. There was no #MilitiaGate, and the Internet was in its infancy, with concepts like social media being relegated to primitive forums and BBS systems, and early IM programs like ICQ. There was no organized backlash, and the narrative stuck.

That was when the rightwing extremists moved in, thinking they were already going to be in good company. The few militias that were left got torn apart from the inside by power struggles. "Coward" and "Snitch" were the "ethics cuck" and "shill" of their day. The M.O. was to move in and create such a shitstorm of drama that moderate people would either abandon the cause, or get shilled into doing something stupid and illegal. That day's version of "Attack! Attack! Attack!" And get arrested, with the arrests being used to further discredit the militias nationwide.

Of course, the rightfags never saw anything wrong with this. They wanted a war and they wanted it now, and if it didn't hurry up they would do their "patriotic duty" and start one. The other thing is that the NRA was responsible for helping gun owners organize. When various companies stepped out of line over the years, like Smith and Wesson vs. Clinton or Bill Ruger Sr. in the 1990s, or Jim Zumbo or Recoil Magazine, gunfags were quick to rally and stomp out the transgressors.

Well, it's not that bad an analogy to compare them to a empire on the decline. Decedance running rampant, a desire to expand ruthlessly to the point where they are spreading thin, and a overall cockiness and stagnation of their tech and technique.

Think of their tactics; aside from their shills, 'listen and believe' and their habit to gang up on dissenters in real life worked pretty well. Got them in strong positions and deflected blame. Besides that, I was right. It was Twine Revolution before the Twine Revolution. So, to better focus digging effort, I'll probably organize an Op similar to Fish in a Barrel, where we dig out projects made by the people involved in the DEI or Twine Revolution, and connect that to coverage and possible relationships with journalists.

For instance, Anna Anthropy got plenty of coverage from some whore that worked at PC Gamer and several other publications where she kept shilling his shit, and then everyone found out they were friends. That dude was the brains behind Twine Revolution
