The only good thing about the prequels

The only good thing about the prequels

Well I was gonna say the comics and cartoons that came out of them.

the prequels were better than TFA though

as time passes more people are going to realize this too. it's actually quite funny.

I, too, predicted this.
That's about all.

Rogue One was better then TFA. At least everybody died.

The prequels were the greatest tragedy made in modern history.

the soundtrack
Williams performed as good as in OT

Don't forget the god-tier games.

if disney weren't such spineless money grubbing shits, it could have been a great movie

The prequels were pretty much flawless tbh.

peace out.

ST prequels are like Metallica's black album - sucked at the time, but seems kind of alright in retrospect.

The First GOTG movie is literally better than the entire Star Wars brand, ANH is only redeemable due to its cinematic allusions to Riefenstahl films

That's not saying anything really they are still mostly subpar to average.

You've got me there that's correct

That's bullshit and poor form on you.

Stop while you are ahead, as mediocre as you could declare the star wars OT and I'd agree GOTG is 0/10 1 /10 garbo

Ep II looks amazing - the scenes on Coruscant in particular were gorgeous to look at.

Episode II was literally shot in 1400x800 resolution or some shit. Shame. Some stuff did look great on release. Even revenge of the sith is 1920×1080p source. No film grain no 4K

We already got a Blu-ray release, and I doubt Disney would have given us a 4K release of the PT. They seem intent on pretending those never happened, and are too busy shitting on (and copying) the OT.

I don't think they can make a 4K is what I'm saying

As a kid

Aged 8 TPM 10/10
Now 26 6/10

Aged 11 AOTC 9/10
Now 3/10

Aged 14 ROTS 8/10
Now 8/10-9/10

Never understood the hate for the prequels. Just red letter memeia fagging up the internet.

First two of the original trilogy > prequels + return of the jedi >>>> Paul Blart Mall Cop >>>>> Disney star wars

Is Episode III worth watching? I saw I and II so long ago I've completely forgotten the plot.

AotC is the greatest kino of all time, unironically

Yes. Watch all three in order though. I is decent despite Jar Jar. II is the best but if you're a pleb you won't see it. III is considered to be good even by most normies in my experience, and it is indeed very good.

true.

Yeah it is. Its got parts of it that are damn good.

You go and find the book they made for Attack of The Clones and then come back and realise Attack of The Clones is a masterpiece of a movie.

The entire film is basically sex for your eyeballs.

Lol

You obviously don't understand the kino. Perhaps the book can help, you fucking pleb.

FUCKING CGI BACKDROPS

What's the deal with this turquoise and neon meme? Natural light will always be superior.

Kinoseurs know that the prequels are up there. Plotplebs and soygoys are too dumb to get a bunch of incredibly well made children's films.

When Anakin and Obi-Wan face each other on Mustafar the soygoy thinks "they're too white, where's the bull? All this toxic masculinity and testosterone is killing me", the plotpleb thinks "why don't they get burned by the lava? It's all CGI! I need to rewatch a fat kike cuck rant about this movie again" and finally the kinoseur enjoys the finale of the dramatic tragedy as the impeccable miniature creates an aesthetic to mirror the drama and shows Anakin's descent into hell. This refined blend of Christian, ancient Greek and eastern traditions come together perfectly here and the kinoseur has the knowledge to appreciate every bit of it.

If nothing else just for Sheev's parts.
I had so many questions about his sith background and how he manipulated everything.
Then it came to me the prequels plotline only seemed a mess because Sheev wished it so.

I have unironically started to think the prequels are far superior to the OT. Seriously, the only reason anyone says otherwise is either because of nostalgia goggles or that they're sheep.

I just recently watched Phantom Menace and was surprised how much I unironically enjoyed it. My biggest gripe with it was the pacing, things went far too fast leaving no time to connect with the characters, and the number of coincidences that allowed the main cast to assemble. Qui-Gon running into JarJar (who incidentally was actually funny in places) was ok I guess, the force guides you and all that, but them finding the queen and her guards just as they were being escorted to their assigned camp was too much for me. I would have preferred if they had to rescue the queen from a detention center as something of an homage to ANH.

I'm also part way through Attack of the Clones and had something of a revelation regarding Anakin's character. He's been rude, stupid, hormonal and violent but his actions would be far more understandable if he was just a few years younger. A 19 year old (as he is in the movie) acting like that is much more jarring than it would be if he was something along the lines of a 15 year old. If he was aged down in the movie I feel it would be far more understandable. Of course doing this would make the love story impossible as the general public would never accept a relationship between a 15 year old and a 20 year old without large amounts of whining.

Agreed, it should have been longer and more ruminating. That would probably have made it bomb at the box office though.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's been aged up to keep the straight shota from creating a butthurt of which the likes has never been seen. Also, aging Anakin up made him more attractive to the female audience. Pretty sure he's much younger in the script though.

test

Anons I understand the kino, I dont think Attack of the Clones was executed as well as Revenge of the Sith

I just rewatched Revenge of the Sith and it's one of the best if not the best Star Wars film, pure kino. It also looks really good upscaled on my 4k tv.

I have a really hard time ranking the prequelkinos tbh, each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Well yeah, that's obvious. But that's also a very low bar.

Prequels were a poor attempt at expanding the mythology and SW universe. Disney's shit is just a bad rehash of the originals tweaked to appeal to wider demographics.

Revenge of the Sith is kino

That seems so short sighted on Lucas' part. I would have thought he would have shot on film and scanned it into the computer.

Episode I was shot on film but he decided to do II and III full digital. III looks pretty good tho

How do they take a 1080p source and turn it into 4k? There is not enough information to do that.

They dont

I think I saw a thread on the TheForce.net forum that George shot one or two scenes of TPM with digital cameras too, to test the hardware. I think one of the scenes was Qui-Gon testing Anakin’s blood for midi-chlorians and telling him about the Force.

Interesting
