TNG was so bland and cucky, I never really felt anything while watching it tbh.

first few seasons are mediocre, it gets better though if you never seen the latter parts

It really doesn't get much better. On the contrary, the soundtrack gets worse and besides the odd borg or Q episode it's really not worth watching.
