It's going to take actual rape allegations to get anywhere with anyone.
That being said, you never know. Spielberg would take down half of Hollywood with him just because of the bad press for his companies. The guy owns the city. Cosby only had his good reputation because he played the sweet, innocent old man role so well his entire life. His personal life wasn't in the spotlight until recently. Pitt and Clooney get a lot of attention, especially on their personal lives.
Again, the people you want to look at are not those who have minor drama with their wives/girlfriends. Those are boring. Their worst dirt is having a crappy marriage. People can joke about it because it's vaguely acceptable to have a stressful, borderline abusive relationship. It's normal, or at least common. If people aren't talking about your controversies at all, it's probably because they're way darker.
