Trump doesn't have to slam him. All he has to do is let him get himself into hot water. This sounds like something Trump would do, given all he has done in the past and the manner in which he has done it. As it stands now, the other side can't stop it anyways, unless Kushner suddenly steps down to avoid the trap, leaving that spot open to someone else to take the trap or someone else who will actually do a good job. Then again, Kushner could actually do a good job in which case we all win for now.
